White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
I was about to close gameday, then I saw Freddy was still in. And he's given up a leadoff hit. f*** you, Ozzie Guillen. I can't believe people don't see how he plays favorites.

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
Luckily, we have the meat of the order coming up for the 9th.

Pitching Matchups for Boston series
As bad as their starters look for this series, I bet at least one of ours (Contreras) gets annihilated by them.

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
I remember thinking the only way the Sox make the playoffs is if they manage to play the least badly. That may be happening.

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
I'm really tired of losing to the Royals.

Sox @ Royals, September 1, 2006 7:05 p.m.
Back at school, so I can't watch the game. I just checked the score, and; f*** No more checking this score. And time to get McCarthy into the rotation to take our "ace's" spot.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) Something i missed? I've alwas been kinda fond of Swisher I didn't say he's not good at baseball. But every time I see him play, he seems to make extremely stupid plays/errors that make me think he has s*** for brains.

David Wells Traded To San Diego
Yep, they've officially waved the white flag. That's bad news for us, seeing as we're no better off than they are. At least, that's what I heard.

Dave Roberts
Damn, I was hoping this could be a waiver-wire deal.

2006 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) With him missing games and the Red Sox looking like they're golfing in October, Papi deserves no mention in the MVP talk anymore. Doesn't matter. Ortiz and Jeter will both almost definitely get more votes than Dye. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 10:21 AM) Once again, I have to ask why Joey Cora has a job. ^^^^

2006 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Jon Garland has absolutely, positively no chance at winning the Cy Young. Jermaine Dye has a better chance at winning the MVP. And with a Red Sox player and a Yankee player ahead of him, he also has no chance.

Starting pitching upgrade and post season hero available...
Does this mean the Red Sox are packing it in?

Pointless Facts
QUOTE(beautox @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) In 1943 during WWII The Stealers and Eagles merged and became known as the Steagles. I thought for sure that this was a like, then I looked it up. Cool

From here on in, it's a 32 Game Season
Didn't Thome bat 4th or 5th for all of those great Indians teams?

Sox 2006 MVP and Cy Young Awards
Cy Young - Jon Garland. He's carried us through our roughest stretch.

What is our record against the Twins?

From here on in, it's a 32 Game Season
I know I'm not living up to my reputation, but if we go into that final series with the Twins and still have a shot, we'll do what we have to do to get into the playoffs.

The Marlins...Again!
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) Who doesn't? Dan Uggla, Hanley Ramirez, Andre Ethier, Chris Duncan (longshot)...does Zimmerman qualify? I'd say that it's Ethier or Johnson out of those choices.

The Marlins...Again!
I now have a man-crush on Josh Johnson. Is he going to continue being this good throughout his career? And who else has a shot at the NL ROY?

Hilarious! Red Sox Boards.
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) They just got blasted 9-0 by the A's. The "washed up" Frank Thomas with a HR and 3 walks. Boston is done. Frank's homer was an absolute bomb. BTW, they said on Sportscenter this morning that the Red Sox are below .500 against the AL.
