  1. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) What's even more amazing than Palmiero taking steroids is Jose Canseco was on top of this. We all ignored him in the past when he alleged certain players injecting steroids, but suddenly, his credibility on this issue isn't so far fetched. I've believed him the entired time. He really had no reason to lie. Plus, when you look at the numbers, a lot of guys' power numbers increased when they were on the same team as Canseco.
  2. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Don't f***ing plunk us we will sweep your ass 4 games in your house. Pfft, mine was first and more emphatic.
  3. Woah, I'm surprised. Oh well, we really had no use for him. Thanks for last year, Shingo.
  4. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plunkin' us?! Think that s*** hurts?!?! We'll take the 4 game, 4 game, sweep in your house. IN YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I don't care. I just have one thing to say: Mark Buehrle.........YYYYYYES!
  6. If I could choose one guy to replace on the Sox, I'd pick Damaso Marte. Hands down, it's not even close.
  7. With a runner already on 1st? Shouldn't it have been with 2 out, nobody on? Oh well, I'll take retaliation no matter what. Who's coming in?
  8. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Can you fully enjoy the season and still not like seeing Timo at leadoff?
  9. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) on a 3-0 pitch as well, definitely intentional. expect retaliation They pulled this BS last night. This time we really ought to retaliate.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) I don't know if you've been watching the game today, but Timo is working the count. He took a 2-0 pitch right down the middle and worked the count full. Stop complaining. I can't see the game since I'm at work. I'm just going by what these guys usually do. Timo and Ozuna are usually first pitch swinging type of guys. Plus, we don't score many runs when more bench players are in. It's not like I'm making things up.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) 7 of the 9 guys in the lineup are regulars, I wouldn't constitute that as the "s*** line-up". When there's more than one scrub in the game, I refer to that as the s*** line-up. Besides, no reason Timo should be leading off with Ozuna behind him. Those two will see a maximum of 5 pitches between them.
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) Haha, we scored 9 with this lineup last night. Nice case of overreacting there. :rolly Iguchi was at 2B for most of the scoring. When we have more than one scrub start, we don't score much.
  13. This is what happens with the s*** line-up. We don't score much.
  14. Getting a bad feeling that this might end up being one of those games where Buehrle is almost perfect, but still gets the ND or possibly a loss. Let's get some offense.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:14 PM) Seriously, Mark is going to have to slap around our "B" team to ensure victory. He's got to get his own s*** together, too. When's the last time he's had a really good start? s***, when's the last time he won a game?
  16. What's going on now? I can't watch most of this game.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) I'm huge on the steroid speculation (as you've seen), and I believe that Palmeiro was on them. Haha, score one for the Milkman.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) You can't believe it... ??? I've believe it since I heard it come out of Jose's mouth. I read the book, too. I feel dirty every time I say this, but I trust every word Canseco said about steroids.
  19. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:27 AM) No Offense taken... But I guess you can see I trusted my source. Good job with the source, man. Next time you hear something (anything), make sure you share with all of us.
  20. QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) It was just on ESPN Radio that USA Today is reporting Palmeiro tested positive and is going to be suspended 10 days I wish they would say exactly what the guy tested positive for. Palmeiro will just sweet talk his way right out of this thing, just like he did with the hearings. He'll just use the same old argument that he used something that had some random chemical that caused him to test positive. Oh, and the Orioles are really having bad luck right now.
  21. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) I've not heard this one. Please share. Me either. I'd like to know, too.
  22. QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:05 AM) Orioles board is saying it was reported on the radio that its gonna be Palmeiro No f'n way! If it's true, that'll be hilarious. Just weeks after reaching 3,000 hits. Wow, hahahaha.
