QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Maybe Frank can partner up with Farmio in the radio booth That would be good.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Oye ve, we all love Frank but what do you want: Frank Thomas on the team or another world championship? another world championship. Don't get me wrong I love Paulie but Frank is the White Sox for me.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Don't be so sure. I get the distinct feeling that if Frank isn't pain-free and 100% healthy, he will hang it up. In all seriousness, he got his ring, what does he have left to prove? I would've thought KW would have some loyalty toward Big Frank. Seeing him in another uniform will be disgusting.
-
I hope Frank retires than.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) He was obviously refering to baseball. He is a baseball player so why would he bring up football in the equation? Wow man you worry way 2 much you need to sit back and relax... maybe have a couple sorry not old enough yet. But most people drink who go to my high school though. I don't.

Sox interested in Mike Myers; Marte being shopped
White Sox Josh replied to SSH2005's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) Myers was great in Austin Powers, but, can he pitch? yeah baby, yeaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!. Sorry couldn't resist. Let's just hope he doesn't go all Dr. Evil on us if he comes here. On second thought that would be pretty entertaining. -
Man were the Cubs robbed in that deal of Farnsworth.
-
QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) what he said is the truth. he was probably asked about it.....i don't see anything wrong with what he said. no because he said this stuff during the cleveland series in September here. Plus he should at least know what he is talking about. It is not the truth. This is neither a Cubs or Sox town. It's a Bears Town and it has been (except for the Bulls Championship days) and will be for a long time.

I f***ing hate Bobby Howry. Worry about your own damn team and talk about trying to help them get to the World Series. Not Sox Fans. He did this crap last year to.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) Presumably there could be a risk of him being charged with something along the lines of obstruction of justice if he insists he did nothing, possibly testifies as to that point, and then takes a drug test which proves the opposite. like if he has a ton of poppy seeds. I know for a fact that there are ways to get rid of any trace of drugs in your system.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 01:44 PM) Public Enemy had better get in there. So should stuff like Run DMC and Grandmaster Flash. I hate Rap and Hip Hop, but there is no denying how important those bands and people are to an entire movement. Also LL Cool J, OutKast(They aren't just a rap group), and maybe even 2Pac.
-
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) He can also buy a s*** load of ding dongs. Hopefully he'll remember to take the foil wrappers off when he puts them in the microwave. Man, I'm gonna miss that show! is that Ozzie digging for gold.
-
Anybody think any rappers could get in? I think Public Enemy should be in when they can be nominated.
-
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) For all of you fans of Evansence, have you heard Lacuna Coil? They were around first, and their vocalist is MUCH better. http://www.lacunacoil.it/ Or The Gathering? http://www.gathering.nl/ i have heard 2 or 3 songs from the Gathering.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) Just to play Devil's advocate for a moment...what if 2006 started off with the Uribe of the first months of 2004 making an appearance? i wouldn't expect that but i would think .270-.280 is realistic.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) Uribe is way, way to streaky to hit 2nd. who hits number 2 because i have a feeling it's not gonna be Iguchi this year.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) Josh you do know the White Sox and the Royals don't trade with one another, and haven't since, oh, 1989 or so? Stop with the Matt stuff, they are aiming a lot higher. you could do a lot worse than Stairs. He put up good numbers for the Royals and is a good guy in the clubhouse.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) The Twins cut him, what does that tell you Josh? Matt Stairs, the Royals re-signed him. Try to keep up. I am talking about trading for Stairs. Give up a decent prospect (nothing great). The Twins cut him because they didn't want to pay him. He was a favorite of Gardenhire.

My Ideal Lineup for next season: 1. Pods LF 2. Uribe SS 3. Thome 1B 4. Thomas DH 5. Iguchi 2B 6. Dye RF 7. Crede 3B 8. Pierzynski C 9. Anderson CF I would rather spend money on Frank and strengthen the bench than pay Konerko $14 Million now that we got Thome. Sign a good bench player like LeCroy or trade for Stairs. Both of those can step in if Frank gets hurt again and they both have a lot of pop.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) The White Sox have their sights set a lot higher than Matt Lecroy. Maybe sign Lecroy for Charlotte. I didn't know .260 with 17 Home Runs in 304 At Bats last year was bad. He is a great role player.
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Matt LeCroy only hits lefties. He would be a poor option. What about Matt Stairs. He has good pop and is a lefty.
-
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Her albums arent really that bad at all. Her live performances are awful though, she really benefits from multiple track harmonies in her albums, and you just cannot give the same effect live. She is sexy in a bad girl way though , Alot of her music is about getting laid. I like the Song Ride. And she is a proud grad of New Trier.
-
Sign Big Hurt to an incentive laden deal and than sign a guy like Matt LeCroy to back Thomas up in case he gets hurt.
-
Nirvana and Metallica should get in when they are ready for induction.

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) we'll see. he said today he was going to take a drug test. if he passes i believe his explanation. if not i don't. i won't let my opinions of him as an analyst or player influence my thinking on this. i'm sure a lot of people are stoked he got busted, which they are entitled to. i'll judge this issue on its own. agreed. He was a drug addict and i think he still has kids. He hasn't been in the news about this and he has seemed to put his life back together.
