My first impression of this trade is not to do cartwheels. However, Getz and this staff have picked up some great reclamation projects that have worked out so Im hoping they've seen something with Castillo that they can address and turn him into a quality starter again. Also, $25 million may not be a huge salary next year. Assuming a deal gets done, there will definitely be a salary floor. Teams like the Dodgers and the Yankees will have to trim payroll but at least 8-10 teams will probably have to add 30-50 million in payroll to reach the floor. As a result, you'll see some contracts that will look worse than this. In summary, I'll wait to grade this deal but im giving our staff the benefit of the doubt.....they've earned that.

I gave him a B for managing. I do believe there are definitely better managers in the league for in game decisions. However, I give him an A+ for establishing teamwork and maximum effort. I don't think I've ever seen a White Sox team in my lifetime that runs hard to first base on every ball hits or makes an effort to move a runner from 2nd to 3rd with no outs so strongly. Little things win games and its activities like this that have us outperforming the expectations of most people.

Vargas reminds me of Konerko. Struggled with LA as a top prospect but excels with us. Lets hope their futures are similar.

If his first AB had landed for a double, I'd say he was guaranteed. However, it didn't and I feel hes going to get screwed.

Vargas is only player in game with an extra base hit. Does he get consideration for MVP?

A better bullpen and we could be up 3 games now. Gotta correct the problem immediately to make sure we dont fall further in the standings.

Even if we need to overpay, we need to go get bullpen help now. Can't wait til the deadline.

I like Venable but I wish they had moved Taylor to closer sooner. I think Seranthoney may have been fine doing setup but hes just feeling the heat whenever he takes the mound now. Its become mental.

Thats a Saluki!

Who do you want to use? Acuna?

If this gane goes extra innings, do we use Burke in relief and call someone up to start tomorrow?

If it keeps raining, I think you are looking at another stoppage after the end of the 6th (and they'll call it after about 30 minutes next time). Gotta get 3 outs here without any damage.

I loved Carbondale.....of course I was drunk for 4 straight years.

It's been raining in Vegas today (but at levels a game could be played through)

The problem wasnt what we gave up....the problem was the return.

Remember when we traded Madrigal? That didnt work out too good for us.

Time start scoring some runs or we might need Acuna to pitch 3-4 innings tonight.

Let's not rush him back. Let's make sure he's fully recovered. We can't afford to have him reinjure it and miss out on playoff time.

What is Yermin doing these days? We could use a catcher til Teel returns.

Kelenic never would have thrown him out.

I meant Hill going yard

Grichek going yard. Watch and see

Right near the tarps off section!if there weren't any top less females before, there should be now. Install a stripper pole in right field!

Anyone spotted any females in this section?

If you don't absolutely love this team, you ain't a White Sox fan. This team has absolutely no quit in it!
