LaRussa is looking like a genius this inning!

If you don’t think Yermin can still be a superstar into his 40s, you obviously haven’t been watching him. Why let him walk and play the final 10 years of his career for another team? Don’t you want him wearing a White Sox hat when he’s inducted into Cooperstown?

The closest hitter we’ve had to this caliber in my lifetime is Jose Abreu. It would be nice to have Yermin around after Jose retires to give Trout some competition for MVP on a yearly basis.

Any idea if the Sox have started negotiating a long term deal with Mercedes to buy out a couple years of free agency? I’d love to see him retire in a White Sox jersey but I fear we won’t be able to keep him past arbitration years unless we get something done soon.

No starter has gone more than 5 1/3 innings in any game thus far and our entire staff has been working behind in the count on almost every hitter. Those two facts are a recipe for disaster and I'd have to say Ethan Katz grades out an F so far after 4 games.

This team misses Coop. Pitching is a disaster now. Time to bring him back now or this season may fail to reach it's potential.

I wonder if we could bring Coop back. Someone needs to fix this bullpen.

I think Madrigal is the perfect compliment to our lineup. Sure, most of his hits will be singles. But many of those will turn solo homers by others into 2 run shots.

What about Puig?

Vegas will definitely get a team. After seeing the tremendous success of the Golden Knights and the Raiders, MLB wants a piece of the action.

Won’t we have problems with the 40 man roster if we add all of them?

Wouldn’t it be a hoot if Rodon got his shit together this year and out pitched Gio, Dallas, and Lance? If he could win the Cy Young this year, I doubt anyone would be complainig about the 3 million dollar signing!

The Lynn trade wasn’t happening without Dunning and this added to our depth. Lynn should be good for 200 IP while Dunning would have likely done only 140 or so.

I don’t get why everyone seems intent on trading Madrigal. Granted, he doesn’t have power, but we need guys to get on base for the rest of our power hitters to drive home. He’ll hit .300 plus every year (maybe .320+), strike out little, and provide good defense. We need players like this to play this role and trading him would leave a hole in our lineup.

I would not do this trade. I think ReyLo has a chance to develop under Katz and serve as the teams long option in the pen if nothing else. He may or may not be useful in the long term but why trade him for someone who has definitely proven to be worthless?

As long as COViD doesn’t end this season prematurely, I like our chances to win a World Series!

I honestly don't see how you can have minor league baseball this season at all. The economics of the game don't work without ticket sales and concession revenues. Most teams will not be able to have this happen at any time in 2021. If we end up with MLB this summer, I think you'll have camps like last year and no AAA/AA/A action.
