  1. Gems from McCarver: The word "fatigue" has only entered the game of baseball in the last decade or so" "With the white sox power they can come back on any team. This is a good come from behind team"
  2. Lets not all be surprised that greg wants to listen to absolute nonsense while watching the games.
  3. I think they have been setting up Wimpy returning and Stone exiting for 2 seasons. Wimpy and Hawk have found that spark again.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:22 PM) <!--quoteo(post=2708111:date=Sep 27, 2012 -> 09:25 AM:name=KyYlE23)-->QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 09:25 AM) <!--quotec--> I'm getting old, I guess, because that looks terrible. Eh, you like that terrible Challenge show . Your tastes are obviously skewed
  5. Golden Tate admits he pushed off You know what, I dont even care about this. I dont think he is a cheater because they were rewarded the touchdown. He did what wide recievers do in every game and it didnt get called. The refs missed it, it doesnt make him a cheater, he just benefitted from the refs being morons. What do people expect him to do after the game? Admit he pushed off and go and tell the officials and have them reverse the call? GMAB, this isnt that catholic commercial where the kid is playing basketball and admits he knocked the ball out of bounds. He did what every other player in the league would do, "what? me? push off? NEVER"
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 11:17 AM) Then what happened to Jermaine Dye. he refused to take a lesser deal to show he could still put up numbers
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) Fixed. No need to shout. there is always need to shout in a gamethread
  8. Diamond Taylor adds to his Carbondale/Jackson County rap sheet with a DUI. And due to the APR hellhole that Lowery left SIU in, the team cannot afford to send him off. Yay Chris Lowery. Thank you so much for being a quality coach and Alumni.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 09:29 AM) Ha, I didn't read the thread. I saw Obama and thought it was the re-election thread. My bad! LMAO. WHY ARE YOU ALL JUST TALKING ABOUT HEALTH CARE HERE!>!>!
  10. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:56 AM) Plus Ed Hochuli gets to flex his muscles. Actually didn't Hochuli blow a call a couple years ago that may have cost a team a game? Hochuli has blown many calls. But nothing quite like that
  11. Yea, the travesty that happened monday night would never happen on Ed Hochuli's watch. PI's, False Starts will be missed, but game winning blown calls will not happen
  12. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) Checking in... nothing ever seems to be easy these days What happened to Santiago? Walks
  13. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:38 PM) this team is a f***ing circus
  14. I don't know if anyone here plays WoW, personally I don't, but I was wondering if anyone could explain the Kung fu panda motif they have going on I am seeing in the commercials
  15. That Verlander injury was so bizarre. It was kind of funny though, he looked like he did this mad dive for no reason
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 02:04 PM) That's true, but Miami also abandoned ship pretty quickly in dumping all those players at the first sign of adversity. Now doesn't Miami have one of the lowest payrolls heading into next year even with Mark and Heath Bell and Reyes around? They began this year with the 8th highest payroll http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/salaries/_/nam...a/miami-marlins I dont know what they are projected next season but I cannot imagine they have dropped that dramatically
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 01:23 PM) Maybe not a coincidence, but there are a lot of bad teams out there. The managers of those teams lose every year, like Ned Yost. I don't see how realistic people thought Miami was 'all in' just adding a stud like Mark and a stiff like Heath Bell. Ned Yost isnt a measuring stick for Ozzie. Their situations are totally different, Ozzie was handed a team thought to be competitive, not world beaters, but not as bad as they have been. And they failed. Ned Yost manages a financially handcuffed team that is trying to grow a team, not buy a team.
