  1. Interesting that Delgado chose the team in 3rd place over the team in 1st place if he is so focused on winning a championship
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) Twins down 1-0. JINX!
  3. You know what scares me about not letting Jenks close? The fact that everytime he doesnt close, he (seemingly) gives up runs. Can we count on Jenks to hold a lead in the 8th or 7th inning? Im certainly not worried about Thornton, Santos or Putz, but Jenks is a bigtime wildcard when he isnt closing. Sadly, he has been a bigtime wildcard when he IS closing too

    AJ

stupid half-slide aside, AJ is a tough MFer. He takes a beating out there and rarely goes out for injury
  5. QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 01:45 AM) I wouldnt say Sonnen got lazy at the end, he just got caught. That is what happens to him. I dont know, he was laying the hammer fists on Silva and sat up, and you could tell they were both tiring, instead of being chest to chest with Silva and grinding out the last two minutes he sat up and got caught in the triangle
  6. Chael gets caught with 2 minutes left because he got lazy. He had Silva for the whole damn fight and fell asleep
  7. sounds like Manny is just trying to force the Dodgers hand as soon as possible
  8. On the flip side, if our prospects pan out for other teams it makes our minor leagues look better around the league
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) That chick must have a magic mouth to be receiving so many benefits after blowing dudes. The magic has run out Guilty
  10. didnt Mark Prior come up pretty quick too?
  11. Kotsay gets a 1 day reprieve from me. That is all. Bobby, wtf, that was your save and you blow up like that? Come on now. Juan Pierre more and more looking like the 200 (slap)hit man
  12. Im not saying that Kotsay isnt worth complaining about, because he certainly is IMO, but hey look the Sox are 15 games over .500 and still playing quality ball.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 09:49 AM) Love him or hate him, it'd have been fun to be a fly on the wall that night. yeah, a tsetse fly that bit a non-vaccinated LeBron James
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 09:39 AM) Upon Teahen's return, Kotsay should become pointless. Ozzie is a wily bastard, but he's not a complete idiot is he? Wait... he did lead off Dweezy for awhile. speaking of returns, the original wily bastard is back!
  15. Say the impossible happened and Dunn fell all the way to the Sox and they claimed him, wouldnt they still have to make a deal with Rizzo? If I am not mistaken(and please someone correct me if I am wrong, and I probably am ), Rizzo can let the team that claimed him have Dunn for no compensation, work out a deal with the team that claimed him for players/prospects, or pull him back from waivers. So if I am right and that is the case, there really is nothing to get excited about because Rizzo will still be asking for the moon and KW will still be telling him to take a long walk off a short pier.
  16. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Don't we have another??? yes we do. Premature threadulation by thunderbolt
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 05:43 PM) How do they know it's Brett Favre's dick? I would think John Madden's head would be in the way. according to the deadspin investigative group, he is wearing the same watch in the sterger photo that he wore when he retired one of the first couple of times
  18. QUOTE (Pumpkin Escobar @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) Do we really want Manny? the bat hasn't quite been Manny-like for a while. 2010 .317 BA .409 OBP .516 SLG .925 OBPS Career .313 BA .411 OBP .589 SLG 1.000 OBPS His power numbers are down, but it isnt as if he is playing in a bandbox. When he is playing seems like he is still hitting pretty well to me
  19. John Cusack(picking his nose), Chris Chelios and Eddie Vedder in disguise
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Alex Gordon with his 3rd HR in as many games in the second inning tonight. and Dayton Moore responded to this production by sending him back to AAA
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) That's exactly what everyone said about Nick Swisher too. Now everyone wants him back. eh, two different players at two completely different points in their career. Swisher wasnt coming off of multiple injury years which robbed him of the athleticism that made him special. Nick had a bad year and pouted about it. HGH and PEDs aside, I dont think Kotsay is going to leave the Sox and suddenly find a fountain of youth that will make him a valuable contributing member of a playoff caliber team, much less the starting(allstar) right fielder like Swisher.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 09:47 PM) Well, that would be consistent with what the Phillies believed when they gave up on him... his Phillies source also said we would end up with Dunn. Sooooo, sources shmources. except for ours of courses
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) I'll stick up for NJ, he's always had good information coming from the Phillies source. Didnt he tell us that Gavin wouldnt amount to anything in the majors?
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 10:30 AM) hello, FBI? Yes we know a Kyle... Oh they know me. I had to do all kinds of background check stuff to work for JPMorgan Chase, believe me
