SIU returns the favor to Bradley and wins 68-62. It shouldnt have even been that close, but once Anthony Booker got hurt the wind came out of the Salukis sails. Hopefully he doesnt have a significant knee injury -
QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 05:24 PM) When I'm taking pictures like that I feel like I should maybe not drink ever again. Wow. I give you kudos(i think?) for having the nads to post this, but personally I think I would find another drunk picture of myself to post. Mostly one of me not wearing a skintight tinkerbell shirt

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 06:41 PM) Think his point was when Javy has a very good year, more times than not, it's going to be when the team overall sucks. And the facts back that up. Personally, I don't care if Javy goes 20-5 in '09. I never wanted him here to begin with (I rolled with it. We were coming off a championship. Kenny could've traded for anybody and I wouldn't have complained). Javy did flat nothing in three years here besides costing us a potential stud CF for the next decade (Kenny obviously made the trade. Still pisses me off), and hurting our draft position in 2007 by, of course, dominating when were were 20 games out of it. And even then, if you look at Javys years in Montreal it is very much the same. Up and down, year to year. The guy defines the term "Consistently Inconsistent" Just look at his year to year results http://www.baseball-reference.com/v/vazquja01.shtml And I understand that he was on some truly bad Montreal teams, but i still dont buy the "He would have won a cy young on washington" reasoning

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) Ok, ok. But everything aside what is Hampton good for after football? What is Holmes good for at all? Hampton is quite worthless, totally agreed. even when it comes to football, he is just choppy with his thoughts and expressing them -
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 17, 2009 -> 11:04 PM) Javier Vazquez is a pitcher who would win the Cy Young if he was playing in Washington. In Chicago, it's different. When he had to win a big game, he couldn't. Period. The guy isn't a terrific pitcher, but a terrible one. End of story. TRA, WAR, whatever the f***- just stop. He sucks. Thats just not true. javy has been on bad teams and still has had problems, he wasnt all that special in Arizona in 2005, and they went 77-85

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) Where the hell did this Arizona D come from? They're like +10 now in turnover margin in the playoffs. They actually started out this year really hot, offensively and defensively. It looks like they found that early season form. Cromartie is going to be a good one for a while -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) I love the idea of Arizona's OC becoming the next head coach of the Bears next year, but will he be bringing Boldin, Fitzgerald, and Breaston with him? not gonna happen. -
QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 03:00 PM) I imagine Mario has a concussion history similar to Troy Aikman with the amount of times he smashes his head on bricks. Why did Mario fall as fast in the water as he did on land? lol, the mystery of the gravity free water

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) You're an idiot. you should get banned for personal attacks such as this Warner is just cutting up the eagles D right now. Johnson better come up with an adjustment soon -
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) Vitters, Olsen, Marshall, Archer, Stevens, Gaub for Peavy They also have the option of throwing in Cedeno and Hill if they're still resistant to trading Marshall. Dont you think this massive trade would have been done by now? I really dont think Olsen would be the tipping point in the deal instead of Pie.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 02:44 PM) they are essentially potatoes infused with extra grease that means they will become popular, then change the recipe to appease the health concious public, and then start to suck. Kind of like McDonalds fries.

that description is hilarious. It reminds me of Flight of the Conchords description of themselves "Formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo"

I had to check to see what the heck you were talking about. I like the website description LOL

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 02:20 PM) They may need Peavy: The Chicago Sun Times reports that Rich Harden has a small tear in his shoulder joint, calling it "just severe enough that some players might seek surgery but slight enough to be in a range often treated effectively with a strengthening program." LOL, Harden is a glass figurine. How many DL trips between brilliant starts this year?

QUOTE (onedude @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 12:30 PM) Email from Hugh Jackman That's the reason for reshoots. Q&A With Liev Schreiber If it is rated R, I got high hopes for this one. PR spin. They arent going to tell us the movie sucks

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) I suppose I shouldn’t have such high hopes for this movie, but I really do. Then again, I’m about the only person in the world who enjoyed X-Men 3 so maybe I shouldn’t worry. This movie is going to be teh suck. Fox does nothing but screw up its comic book properties, trying to make everything family friendly and PG rated. Wolverine should be none of the above, but it will be. They are already reshooting big parts of the movie, even though production was supposed to be wrapped already http://screenrant.com/wolverine-reshoots-trouble-niall-5059/

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 10:51 AM) Rough loss for the Bulls last night. Had a great opportunity to get another huge victory, but they just couldn't make plays down the stretch and the Spurs left town with a win. Noc had an overall good game, but he cost the Bulls at the end. Two horrendously stupid fouls in the last minute and a turnover when he ran into the lane and jumped and threw the ball away. They were tied or down by 2 when the final minute came and he just put on the dunce cap
