im watching the Red Sox/Twins game on ESPN right now, and they were discussing Varitek in the all-star game when Steve Phillips spits out this gem: ".....and AJ Pierzynski's offensive numbers support that he should be in the all-star game, but the all-star game isnt all about offensive numbers. the Catcher position is different than any other position, and I think people recognize how well Varitek handles Matsuzaka and this young Red Sox pitching staff." Are you f***ing kidding me? Does Phillips even watch the game? is he aware of how good the White Sox pitching staff is, and how young it is, and how well Pierzynski handles it? Every time i think Phillips cant top himself with something stupid coming out of his mouth, he does.

Its hard to believe that 2 of the toughest lefties in our division (Sabathia and Santana) are no longer in our division, and even better yet, not even in the same league anymore.

I feel bad for both of them really. They were the premier child actors in the 80's, everything they touched turned to gold. Now they couldnt get a serious acting gig if their lives depended on it. Of course their drug habits helped drive them into the gutter too, but it still is too bad. There have been plenty of major actors that have had bad drug habits and continued to work
