  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 21, 2008 -> 07:50 AM) Just wondering what y'all think the parents of these kids should do? withdraw tuition payments, colorado community college here we come!
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 21, 2008 -> 12:33 AM) We're honestly like a top 20 team at home and a bottom 200 team on the road. It's absolutely ridiculous. I know, its night and day. The reason I think the Salukis have such a good shot at Arch Madness is because of their home court advantage.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) Wasn't that Austin. Steve Austin was on a radio show I heard and he said he would never wrestle Hogan. He thinks the build up would be awesome but the match would stink because Hogan works slow. Also said he doesn't want to deal with Hogan behind the scenes. Im pretty sure it was Hogan, because he saved Hornswoggle from being squashed by Khali and grandstanded in the ring motioning like he was going to overhead body slam Khali. There was a quote afterwards where he mentioned facing Khali in 'Mania
  4. Thabo just blocked Jefferson from behind on a breakaway layup
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) How about Hogan "wrestling" Kahli? Oh yeah, I forgot about that challenge Hogan made after the RAW 15th anniversary show. I wouldnt mind seeing that, but I have no interest in Flair vs Hogan.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 05:39 PM) Domino's and Pizza Hut are just TERRIBLE down here. They got a roasting for the salt and fat content in their Pizza's recently. Our pizza sucks down here. No deep dish, all thin crust, and there are only a few decent places at best. Start a craze. "DBAHO's ORIGINAL DEEP DISH PIZZA" The aussie's will love it, you will make a fortune
  7. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 03:12 PM) He did. But if you use a stop watch while watching it... from the moment he starts to the moment he crosses the line it was 1:26 even though the TV said 1:19. Did he get a 6 second head start?
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 06:12 AM) It's a gimmick game in the preseason, who really cares? The Penguins and Sabres played a regular season game in a snowstorm and everyone thought it was great (because it was). This is a non-issue. Hockey outdoors and basketball outdoors are completely different though. wind isnt going to change a pucks direction so much that it completely misses the goal, snow isnt going to stop a hockey game, rain is going to stop an NBA game once the first drop hits. If it was a regular season game, i would care. It is preseason, so it really doesnt matter to me. They will play the game outdoors, realize it isnt as great as they thought, and move on
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) If it does wind up being true, I'd just like to say that I hate this deal. lets just hope the competition lights a fire under Danks and Floyd. Possibly Massett and Egbert as well.
  10. I was also held up at gunpoint. But I wasnt held up at gunpoint in a bank, I had a loaded .357 magnum shoved in my face for trespassing in a place that I was told I could be. Then I was bound by duct tape and the guy called the cops on us. Needless to say, the Cops were pretty surprised when the guy opened the door and me and my best friend, who were 12 at the time, were face down on the floor. The guy ended up getting arrested. The story was much more complicated than that, but I thought I would truncate it until they made a movie about it. (
  11. Yesterday Lawrence Holmes was saying that they expected some bigtime surprises in the next couple of days from the Bears front office
  12. I went to the 2002 Superbowl (Rams vs Patriots) on an all expense paid trip for 5 days in New Orleans with my Dad. Probably the best time I have ever had in my entire life
  13. from rajah.com WTF? Big Show got his face broken by Floyd Mayweather?
  14. I just saw the interview with the girlfriend of the shooter, Jessica Baty. I went to high school and some college with that girl, and further more, she dated my roomate in college. It was wierd to see her on cnn.com
  15. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 10:26 PM) There is a Barnaby's off Dundee Rd by the Highway in Northbrook. And Lou's is good, but I like the real Uno's or Edwardos better, Giardono's probably as well. I like NY style as well, they are just 2 different tastes so its really no use to compare them. As for NY style, I used to love this place back in Madison called Ian's, they are supposed to be creating one in Lincoln Park, but we will see. We go up to the Barnaby's in Schaumburg on Golf rd about once a month or so for a family get together. I like the pizza
  16. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 03:42 PM) I don't think any agents would've granted that request. me neither. But I know it pissed off the Sox
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) That's part of it. The Ordonez negotiation was another part. And you can't honestly tell me that stuff has gone over well with Crede. And I think there's a few more that will get recalled by other folks here momentarily. was Bobby Hill a Boras client? Boras didnt endear himself to any general manager with the JD Drew/Phillies debacle Boras also solidified his non-negotiating status with the Sox in the original Alex Rodriguez negotiations, when KW wanted to talk to A-Rod and Boras wouldnt let him without being in the room.
  18. For reference, here is the story i was commenting on, courtesy of rajah.com
  19. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 02:40 PM) Problem is no matter where they test it, it isn't the same. I don't care if you ship it in frozen or try and replicate it locally, I guarantee you that neither type of pizza is as good as if you were buying it in the restaurant. I buy half baked pizzas from a local Chicago-style joint down and finish them at home. But it is still not as good as when it is brought to your table piping hot. I agree, but the creators of the show probably didnt want to risk bringing dirty New York firefighters to Chicago And it didnt matter anyways. Those guys all decided before the pizza was put on the table that they didnt like it, and they werent going to like it even if they tried it. It was rather embarrassing to watch them critique the pizza, kind of like asking a 7 year old to critique a meal at Mortons steakhouse.
  20. QUOTE(bigred3535 @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) Shawn Chacon, Bartolo Colon, Josh Fogg, Freddy Garcia, Byung-Hyun Kim, Kyle Lohse, Rodrigo Lopez, Eric Milton, Tomo Ohka, Russ Ortiz, Odalis Perez, John Thomson, Jeff Weaver, and David Wells. Interesting, these guys once drafted or played with the White Sox, A couple of ex Twins on that list too I wouldnt be kicking the tires on many of these guys. Maybe give Garcia an 2 year incentive deal with the hopes of him being at full strength by next year
  21. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 01:53 PM) If Kennedy beats Flair, I will Riot! If a younger wrestler is to end Flairs career for a boost, it should be Orton. I have really soured on Kennedy where I don't care for him and if he was released, I would shrug it off. Didnt Orton already have his chance to end Flair's career?
  22. Anyone getting "No Way Out" tonite? Rumor has Flair losing to Kennedy, only to beg for a one shot deal at Wrestlemania next week. I also read that Triple H will win the elimination chamber, but it will be disputed by another wrestler in the match who will say he won as well, setting up a small feud that will be decided before Mania
  23. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) I guess I'd rather have a Detroit pizza instead of a Cleveland river on fire pizza. They also have the delicious Great Lake on Fire pizza
  24. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 01:07 PM) Skiles would never be able to recruit, and I don't see what college connections he has outside of going to a Big 10 school. Not sure why IU would make that hire, they could get much better choices. Ok, why is that?
