QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:10 PM) No and no. If you have a ring, you were the reason you got it. There's no other reasoning. Period. I'm totally series. I luv when you are series

QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) Your list is a joke. How many of those guys are wearing rings right now? Pitching and defense win baseball games. Period. What does this have to do with a player being mediocre? Last I checked it takes a TEAM to win a ring
-
QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) Mediocre? If Crede is mediocre at third who do you consider to be good? I think the better question is what do you feel is mediocre? Crede provides excellent defense, this we do not doubt. However, he has had one good year and a few less than mediocre years, his career batting average is .259 and his best (full) year was in 2006 when he hit .283....then had back surgery.
-
I dont get it. Why is it so hard to understand that Boras is going to take Crede to free agency and get him paid like the top 3B in free agency? The Sox arent gonna pay that money. Move on. Get over it. Fields is the man who is taking his place. End O' Story
-
QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) I'm not sure if Crede has done something to anger this organization (Scott Boras aside), but it seems as if they are writing him off. How can you put Scott Boras aside if he is the reason that the Sox are writing him off?

QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:47 PM) This thread is too wordy. Some of it may have to do with where people go. Carbondale, there is nothing else to do. There are bars galore. Other alum here would agree. I agree with the Bar part, but I have to disagree on things for people to do. I know a ton of things to do in and around carbondale. It just so happens that alcohol is part of many of the other things to do.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:17 PM) In Chicago, he ate deep dish pizza, in CA he dined at In and Outs, where will Bartolo run up a tab in Boston? Bartolo's Baked Beans, coming to a tavern near you (in Boston)

and Balta breathes a sigh of relief

Is Brian Andersons surgically repaired wrist his right wrist? Either his muscles are twisting and looking goofy during that throw, or his muscles are still small(atrophied?) from his surgery. Either way it looks kind of wierd.

Desmond Clark was also extended for 2 more years today -
http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/news/story?id=3251964 I just found this funny. Of all of the people Abbott met at WCW, Norman Smiley is the one he calls a pal

it must be nice to just insert yourself into a presidential race whenever you feel like it with no actual chance of winning. Nader always had a lot of support in the Carbondale area, I always saw his campaign signs around town

I think this team has Cubs 2004 written all over it. Plenty of hype and enthusiasm, but I just dont see the pennant at the end of the road. Something is gonna happen, probably related to the starting staff, and the Cubs are going to have to bash their way to wins. They have a really good lineup, but I dont know that it can carry the team for the entire year. Im thinking at best the Cubs win the wildcard, but I dont see it happening Now, how long until someone posts "Who cares about the Cubs?!?!"

QUOTE(soxwon @ Feb 21, 2008 -> 01:21 PM) It's Da world famous, Da Reverand from two other Sox Boards. Surely you've heard of Da Rev? Sorry, your claim to be world famous hasnt quite made it over to Soxtalk.

SIU laid the smackdown on Nevada today, 74-49. Four in a row heading to Bradley who now will have to play without Daniel Ruffin for the rest of the way, things are looking much better for the Salukis -
QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 12:05 PM) I watched Ghostbusters 2 today. Yanosh is one of the greatest villian sidekicks ever caught on film. "Vie am I all covered wish goo?" I agree, Yanosh is hilarious

University of Colorado Fraternity Suspended After Drunk Pledges Wreck
Kyyle23 replied to sox4lifeinPA's topic in SLaM
I believe that frat-guys are like these colorado morons as much as I(the White Sox fan) am like William Ligue Jr. There are bad apples in every bunch, and bad stereotypes that those bad apples uphold and reinforce. -

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 04:36 PM) A lot worse stuff happened to my Frat at SIU. This is very petty in comparison. were you a member of one of the banned fraternitys? -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 10:16 PM) All of the physicals must be completed before a trade can be official, and they weren't, so nobody in that trade could play tonight. The Bulls guys didn't take their physicals until like 5 this evening, and I'm not even sure if the new Seattle or Cleveland guys took them today. I dont believe they were taking issue with the fact that Wallace, Smith and co werent playing. Its about the fact that Hughes, Simmons, Brown, and Gooden were all sitting with the Bulls, and at the Cleveland game Ben Wallace was in a luxury box.

haha, Sawyer totally knocked up Kate and Jack cant take it, lol. edit: ehhh, aaron?

How do you know which processes your computer should be running. It seems like my computer lags like crazy and there are just too many processes running at one time, how do you decide what should and should not be running?

Bulls get Shannon Brown too?

Byebye Ben. I would be lying if I said I will miss you

Gooden needs to shave off the ridiculous thing on the back of his head first
