  1. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 27, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) this year's draft is going to be ridiculous. the knicks need to start losing. They just lost Jamal Crawford for the season, hope is not lost yet
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 27, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Cmon make me a mod in the bracket banter...no one loves banter more than i do......mostly negative but oh well. .......this just in 50 Soxtalk members recently banned for insinuating that Kansas "isnt as great as the Bulls Dynasty", Jimbo's Drinker warns "If you mess with me, you get the business end of my hammer". end transmission

  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 27, 2007 -> 06:38 AM) Has a column today: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/mariotti/27...T-jay27.article Jay has been saving up that hatred for all things Chicago, you can tell
  5. Kane looks like he has a little psycho going again, nice run-in on Khali
  6. Anyone hear Lawrence Holmes interview SIU HC Chris Lowery tonite? Good interview, Lowery said to ask Weber for a game at the United Center last year. Talked about the patience he has had with Shaw and Falker and how great Tatum and Young have been this year as senior leaders.
  7. ESPNews is reporting that Mark Prior isnt going to be pitching for the first 5 or 6 spring training games as a precautionary measure. Did he finish the season injured again last year? I though he actually pitched out the season after starting the season injured. Unbelievable.
  8. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 26, 2007 -> 04:27 AM) apparently bocot has canceled his visit to iowa and is committed to siu. since the salukis have no scholarships remaining, either a prep school or a transfer is probably in the offing. either way, nice get. bocot is a very talented player. his attitude has come in question in the past but i've read good things about how he's matured this year. A couple options have been mentioned on Salukitalk.net, but the consensus is that Jordan Armstrong will be transferring out and opening up the scholarship for Bocot. Armstrong was supposed to see minutes this year and he really hasnt taken the next step, which is unfortunate. The other option I have read is that Jamaal Foster(who graduates this year) will take an academic scholarship and open up an athletic scholarship for Bocot. Unless there is a mystery player who is planning to opt out, and the only players I am seeing are Tyrone Green, Tony Boyle, and Josh Bone. Of those three, I think Green would be the most likely, he had a tough transition from JUCO to D1 although he has been playing more minutes recently and hasnt been the offensive liability he was earlier in the year.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 24, 2007 -> 01:30 PM) I'm pissed. For some reason, my DVR did not record The Office this week or Wednesday night's American Idol. It has recorded everything else this week, so I have no clue what happened. So I missed this episode. I assume that it is not available online anywhere? i thought at the end of every episode they say "If you missed this weeks episode you can view it on www.nbc.com"? I may be mistaken

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 24, 2007 -> 02:17 AM) Not quite. The actual quote: "My brother just unloaded the jet skis and kinda took a bath . . . so we're gonna go get hammered" So Kenny (Roy's brother) was upset about getting so little in return for his jet skis which would explain your questioning of the weather and I guess would kind of explain the trashing of the bar though that was completely over the top on both Roy and Kenny's part. Ah, it makes sense now. When he said "took a bath", i interpreted it to mean taking a spill on his jet ski.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 24, 2007 -> 02:26 AM) As bad as the NBA players are, the NFL players are FAR worse people, but since the NFL has a communist hold on our nation in sports, nobody cares. Oh please explain.
  13. Methinks Pacman maybe seeing some prison time soon. The guys rap sheet is rapidly gaining on the entire Bengals team, and he was given a slap on the wrist last time.
  14. QUOTE(kman @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) no prob. For some reason I get too wired up when I post on this site. Thats why I took a year off. my excuse is that Im on my lunch, so I am scanning posts fast, typing fast, and thinking too fast. Most of the time I end up in an argument when that happens. Its my fault
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) I believe this is where the confusion is coming from except .235 wasnt really mid. .250, yeah fine. Anything below is unacceptable. And Juan was pretty unacceptable all last year save a few minor streaks that brought his average up to .235 QUOTE(kman @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:30 PM) well mid .200 is the middle of the .200's aka about .250. I thought that was a given? i missed the "mid", for sure. sorry about that
  16. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) Did the bookie priest have anything to say? Hack. LOL, so says the fan of Howard Stern

    The Office

QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) I think he sold his jet ski... and used the money he made to pay off the bartender for the broken stuff. Michael and Dwight were a little too nuts tonight for my taste... They need to keep it within the realm of reason. Michael I agree with. I think that was right up Dwights alley though, if you watch him, he is drinking the entire night. Now we know what Dwight does when he is hammered. I thought Dwight was fantastic, especially when he popped up in the back seat after Jan and Michael were "fighting", and when he was in the kids room. and the jet ski thing, when Pam invited Roy to go with them he used the Jet Ski excuse. Thats why I was kind of confused about it
  19. QUOTE(kman @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 03:08 PM) yea it did but his 250 avg didint matter when we won the WS, so whats your point? I think you understand my point just fine .250 is not even close to .200
  20. QUOTE(kman @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) Good to hear as long as his "D" is there I could care less about his mid .200 avg because that .200 average didnt matter last year, right?
  21. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 09:48 AM) Jail Thats some quality analysis there Jimbo, LOL

    The Office

Im kind of curious about what time of the year it is supposed to be on the show. Roy's excuse that he couldnt go out with Pam to the bar for happy hour was that his brother "ate some water on the jet ski" and they needed to get trashed. Jet Ski's in the middle of the winter? Was it just a ridiculous Roy excuse?

    The Office

Hilarious episode, Dwight in the background checking out every facet of the house was great. Roy and Pam are officially done, and Roy is about to go nutso it seems. I dont know how much longer Jim and Karen have, it seems like Jim is getting more and more annoyed with Karen every episode. Maybe I have been just overlooking it with everything else going on, but I had no idea that Toby had a thing for Pam. Its a nice little twist though
  24. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) This is the 9th post and Monopoly hasn't been mentioned? Sickening people.. Monopoly > * ahem, all it took was 2 posts QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 03:08 PM) I love Balderdash, Risk is always good if you have the time, and Monopoly is a classic fave of mine Does MarioParty count?
  25. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 03:18 PM) Whitlock is a fat blob who loves hearing himself talk. He is not respected at all in KC. He absolutely hates all the local teams. I cant imagine many sportwriters in KC having much good to say about their pro franchises
