QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 4, 2007 -> 12:06 PM) There was a song on Anti-Christ Superstar that was much better than "Beautiful People", but it never made it out as a single. Much more aggresive and "hooky" actually. Have you heard that full length? Manson is one of the most "hit or miss" artists to ever work, IMO. When he is good, he is REAL good, but when he is bad, he's terribly boring. The new one has a couple of good tracks, but is more "in one ear, out the other" than anything else. The guitar tone is killer on most tracks though. When he is "rocking" it carries a very Alice Cooper feel to it due to those guitars. I believe that Mechanical Animals was and will always be Marilyn Mansons finest effort, top to bottom. Antichrist Superstar was good but rough around the edges, which he probably preferred. Mechanical Animals was polished to perfection. I still love to blast "The last day on Earth"

I dont like the way Terrero was hit by that pitch. Time to replace him with Sweeney.

OK, Terrero took a strike. Time to get Sweeney in there

Comcast Chicago has been on the air far too long to be consistently having the technical glitches and problems that I see everytime I watch a show or game. I just watched the entire pre-game before the first pitch at about a 3-7 second delay between the video and audio. Thats just embarrassing.

QUOTE(The Critic @ May 11, 2007 -> 04:41 PM) Rob Conway and Too Cold Scorpio were released by WWE in the past couple of days. I didn't realize either of them were even on the payroll anymore. The last time I remember Conway was a pay per view where a bunch of hall of famers and soon-to-be hall of famers were in the ring, and he came in and talked smack and got beat down by Superfly Snuka and Dusty Rhodes. He had some wierd bondage outfit going on, I remember thinking to myself that he reminded me of Buff Bagwell when Buff was on his way out. Conway never got a shot after the French Connection(I think that was their name) broke up. Then again, Rene Dupree hasnt gotten much of a shot himself. I dont think I have ever seen Too Cold Scorpio on television.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 11, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) I meant that he's been a bust for this year. I expected more from him. I just dont understand this. Not at all. Thabo has been a great surprise for me, I didnt expect him to be taking nearly as many minutes this year as he has. What did you expect from him? What draft report did you read?

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ May 11, 2007 -> 02:32 PM) I was being ironic. who the hell remembers the TV show beauty and the beast. I do. But only because I am a Ron Perlman fan. I love his dry sense of humor. Looking at the screenshot, I cant see Ron Perlman, it really looks like Dennis Hopper if anyone . Maybe he only supplied the voice for Jacob's "Help Me".

Patting Myself on the Back
QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:00 PM) I finished my first half marathon last Saturday. My official time was 1:58:53 (a 9:05 pace). I was hoping to beat 1:50, but was a little overwhelmed by the amount of runners (38,000+) and the humidity was high. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year. This was the Indianapolis Mini Marathon. It's a blast! They have 120 bands and entertainers along the route and you run a complete lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Really cool!). I would definitely recommend it for any runner. As many of you know, I ran in high school and gained about 90 pounds since then. In January 2006, at 235 pounds, I decided enough was enough and got back to running - I grew in love with it again and I have lost 44 pounds to date. As for my earlier hopes of running the Chicago Marthon - I missed the signup date and will try to get in next year. I thought about running a different one, but if I only run one in my life I want it to be Chicago! Pictures Wait a second, you have 2 eyes? Im confused, your sig and screename are too misleading On a serious note, that is impressive to jump back into running like that and stick with it. I tried to start up running to prepare myself for softball this summer, but I just practiced more with my team and stopped running. I plan on starting again soon, but it hasnt happened yet. The running I did prevented me from pulling my quads like I did before, but there was soreness that I did not expect after our first doubleheader. Anyhow, congrats on finishing and continuing your regimen.

Braves meet with Rainbow/PUSH officials
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 10, 2007 -> 11:21 AM) Shouldn't Willie Harris count for two players? I mean, is there a better player in the game? See, this is where I am confused. Willie Harris is on the active roster, isnt he African American? http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/team/roster_...ve.jsp?c_id=atl I just dont understand how the Braves got singled out. Because it is Atlanta and there is a high population of African American people? Isnt the same true of Oakland, Chicago, New York? And this statement: Doesnt Willie Harris negate this statement completely? Isnt he from Georgia, near Atlanta? I just dont get it.

i could see it as possibly being Locke with hair. But I have no doubt that there is a supernatural element(the murderous black fog) to the island that hasnt been explained yet, so who knows who or what Jacob could be.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) Predicted lineup: Erstad/Ozuna/PK/Dye/AJP/Crede/Iguchi/Uribe/Terrero Don't be mad if Sweeney doesn't play. Dont ask this of me, I cannot do that. I understand where Ozzie is coming from though, Odalis Perez is a tough lefty. I want to see the kid everyday now. I dont think I have been this excited about a prospect in a long time. There is just something I see in his approach at the plate that makes me think that he is the real deal, and the more time he spends in the minors, the more his growth will be stunted. Let it ride.

It is amazing what people can see and isolate with computers nowadays. 10 years ago this would have been a mystery with everyone saying "I saw it", "I didnt see anything", "I think I saw something", and no one would really know except the writers.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 11, 2007 -> 01:40 AM) Did you actually read any of the pre-draft reports? The league he came from is supposed to be better than the NCAA. He was supposed to step right in and contribute. The tall guard the Bulls so desperately needed. I'm not saying the dude is garbage and will never amount to anything. But as far as right now, color me unimpressed. Draft Express http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=280 ESPN http://myespn.go.com/profile/truehoop?arch...13&start=31 http://www.sportznutz.com/nba/nba_roundup/index.htm http://basketballdraftcentral.blogspot.com...mock-as-of.html http://nbadraft.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=557325 I see alot about potential, but I dont see much about ability to step in right away and contribute besides backing up Gordon and Hinrich. Most draft reports have him as a solid pick who is going to need some work, which is exactly what he is. I think you need to step back and realize how how he has progressed, how long he has been playing basketball, and how high his ceiling really is. The guy is a rookie and guarding some of the best players in the league in the 2nd round of the playoffs, and being commended for his defense. Calling him a bust is pretty narrow minded

LOST! thread
At first when Mikhail told Ben of the outsider(helicopter Pilot) and looked surprised that she was on the island, I believed he was putting on a show for Locke so that Locke would believe that he didnt know about her. But when Ben shot Locke and basically lost it when Locke wasnt telling him what Jacob said, then I started to wonder what was really going through Bens mind. The great thing about Bens character is how he is able to manipulate any given situation by presenting anything as the truth at that time. I am really looking forward to seeing his transition to the leader of the Hostiles and how he got to where he was. And one thing that is still really bugging me is how Mikhail survived the fence. Blood doesnt tend to hemmorhage out of your nose, mouth and ears for no good reason. And if you survive that, you shouldnt be able to run around an island aimlessly.
