  2. Eventually management will tire of Matt Millens escapades as general manager and the ax will fall on him. I gaurantee you that.
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) At least jessica raked in the big bucks the last 2 years or so.......nick hasn't had anything to do for 5 years. Who's he going to mooch off now? I know what he is going to do. A Reunion show!!! ps. I had no idea that Eddy Guerrero was a part of this boy band

  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) Yes, sole purpose. If she cannot do what she is suppose to do well... she is useless. I could find a use for her without the pants. Gauranteed.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) She can always come live down here (and bring your little sis too). This was always on the cards though. Should be interesting to see if we'll ever hear from Nick Lachey again. Do you like College Football DBAHO? If so, then you might be seeing ALOT of Nick Lachey. He has been pandering for a sideline reporter-on-his-way-up-to-the-booth job for a while now.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Anybody thinks this trade is made if Rowand had, had a 2004 like season in 05? Not that it really matters. Just curious. Good hypothetical. I am thinking the trade is still made though, although the product going Philly's way would have been less IMO. I think his good season would equalize the deal a little more. I think Philly is really going to like Rowand though. They love "nails"-type players.
  8. I think the best part of this deal(as far as I can see) is that Contreras and BMAC were not part of it. That was my biggest fear, is that the Sox were going to overpay for Thome(HEY, that rhymes!). But if this is the deal, then KW pulled a fast one on Philly.
  9. QUOTE(Pierzynski 12 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) I wasn't talking to you was i. as if I should dignify that with a response. troll on....
  10. QUOTE(Pierzynski 12 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) What because im pissed off.Right....................... you are just begging for a "vacation", arent you? : :headshake
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Can't even imagine how Rowand is feeling, or guys like AJP and Joe. AJP has seen this before when he was in a Twins uniform. Also, the guys in the clubhouse know that Jim Thome is a wrecking ball in the batters box, they know what this means to this offense. The offseason has just begun, my interest is now piqued.
  12. All I can say is that Thome better not have any back issues this year. Not one.
  13. Report: White Sox Trading For Thome Jim Thome Sources have told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney that the Phillies are on the verge of trading first baseman Jim Thome to the White Sox for center fielder Aaron Rowand. The deal is expected to include major cash considerations due to the size of Thome's contract.
  14. QUOTE(shakes @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) It's the fastest growing city in the country and they wouldn't have any trouble finding financing for a stadium. I think it's a real possibility. I know its the fastest growing city and money wouldnt be a problem. The problem is gambling and its close proximity to a game that prohibits gambling. Selig has enough problems with the credibility of baseball with the steroid issues, he wont put himself in a position where the outcomes in the games are in question.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 09:51 AM) Sorry, but this is a pet peave of mine. Where did this come from? What is the source? It's frustrating to see what looks like a news excerpt, but could be something pulled off of a fantasy site (as has happened here before) or just about anywhere else. Please cite your sources, folks. Thanks. Wow, a pet peave of mine is laying down ground rules on a messageboard in which you have only 194 posts.
  16. Omar Minaya is just going to keep spending until he gets it right, apparently. I think him and Isiah Thomas go to the same GM school.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 08:32 AM) How exactly is it irresponsible to not give Las Vegas a team? I think the whole gambling element lends a bit of irresponsibility itself. Vegas doesnt need a team, too much liability.
  18. The Marlins or any Florida team for that matter need a stadium that will meet their needs weather wise. Tampa has it(i guess), Florida needs it. I always thought that if given a better stadium situation the Marlins would draw better, but it looks like the owners will never approach that situation.
  19. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 06:13 AM) I'm shocked that the resident defender hasn't swooped in here to scold you that these are "just allegations" at this point.. :headshake I thought the same thing
  20. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Have any of you heard any of that Stapp thing??? It sounds even more like Creed than Alter Bridge. I mean, it is basically EXACTLY like everything Creed did that was a hit. In other words, it sucks. Ha, thats funny. A band and its lead singer go their seperate ways so that they can sound exactly alike, and exactly like when they played together. I really disliked Creed.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) I mean really, wtf? It's wrestling. Like we wouldn't want someone to have an unfair advantage. I dont think it is fair advantage as much as it is a liability for Vince's lawyers. You know the wrestlers dont really care, because they just want to look good. But someone at some point is going to sue Vince for turning a blind eye towards steroid use when someone ended up dead. Its just a matter of time, if it hasnt happened already. Now Vince can say he tested them for it, and spoke to them about it. Not that he will put a stop to it.....
  22. Gammons is steering the trade to the Red Sox. Beckett and Lowell to the Red Sox for a mix of players headed by Jon Papelbon. edit: not Papelbon, he could be included, but most likely Anibel Sanchez and Hanley Ramirez and the ever famous PTBNL
  23. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) meh, sounds like bs to me. Testing doesnt mean anything. There are no punishments or anything that have been mentioned. However, getting testing is a pretty big step for the WWE, I would have to say. I imagine Vince will start getting some more lawsuits thrown his way if his wrestlers or former wrestlers keep dropping dead.
