QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) good pic, she is decent looking. No s***. And that is either her, or the best photoshop job I have ever seen.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) it doesn't make you bother you at all that this s*** is going on? Does it bother me? Yeah, i guess. Can I do anything about it? Not really, unless I can manage to get millions of people to boycott the Tribune. Everyone has their opinion. And sometimes you have to think that these sports reporters do know these athletes a little better than most, and have experienced some of the arrogance and egotism that we dont see. Thats not to say that Thomas has been a complete asshole, and it doesnt discount it either. They are just written opinions. I have to stop myself when i read Mariotti because of the s*** he says, but some of it is right no matter how much it pisses me off.

hmm, I got no matches

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) You know what, I was just thinking about it and I wish Nick Cave would write a letter to Nickelback telling them how much they suck. That would be hilarious. There is no doubt about that. But he can only do it if he writes another letter to 3 doors down saying the same thing

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) yea, but i would imagine his ego wouldn't feel much of a challenge considering the source of the criticism. Have you ever seen one of those threads when someone you regard as smart gets dragged down into a stupid argument with a troll, and just wont give up? Sometimes people just love to argue, not matter what the circumstances, politics, or humor. I know that I would take a little umbrage with someone who decided to call me out in his book without at least talking to me about what I said.

QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Don't forget The Beastmaster. Quite possibly my favorite movie until I was about 17 years old. Marc Singer just never recovered from this movie. Unfortunately they sequeled the s*** out of this franchise, and they got to be some of the worst direct to video movies ever. AND a really bad WB series to boot.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) no he probably wouldn't even know about it. lol but if he did, i doubt he would care. Eh, I disagree. Every celebrity has an ego, and very few of them like to have their egos challenged. Thats pretty much what I see with Cross and LtCG.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Why would David Cross (funny comedian) waste his time writing such a long letter to Larry the Cable Guy (not funny comedian)? seems like a waste of time. It would be like Nick Cave writing a long ass letter to Nickelback about how much they suck. Do you think Nick Cave would write a long ass letter to Nickelback if Nickelback came out with a song about how much Nick Cave could kiss their asses?

QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 09:47 AM) LOL, 3E8, I almost pasted the same quote when I read it.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Is Hunter a FA Next year? I don't know why, but if I'm the Twins, and I've lost to the Yankees in the playoffs several times, and I want to win a world series someday, I'd just be a bit hesitant about making a big trade to help the Yankees improve even if it cleared up cash. Hunter wants out of Minnesota. He already put his house on the market, I dont think he likes the managements commitment to winning vs payroll. The team didnt look so hot without him last year, and now they are losing another piece in Jacque Jones. I could understand why he is frustrated and wants out.

Are the dodgers moving or giving up on Izturis?

Interesting turn of events. ESPN decides to punish later rather than sooner..... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2243998

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Since when is a couple of herniated discs in the lower back not looking too good? Seriously though, isn't that what has been reported? Isn't this the condition he is sufferring from? I believe this is what I have heard, but I could be wrong. One would hope that he would get that operated on as soon as the offseason hit, but what do I know.

Bubble Boy Pootie Tang (Sepa Tai! Im gonna sign your piddy on the runny kine...) Run Ronnie Run (the scene when the cops come into a house that Ronnie ran into to get away was priceless. "Sir, why are you hiding in these people's closet" "Hiding? I was sleeping here and they just built the house around me!) Saving Silverman Happy, Texas? QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) They argue that the only reason why he caught that ball was because he was an employee of the Red Sox. Couldn't he argue that it is because he was a member of the Red Sox that he was a reason why they were in that position? Wouldnt this come down to ownership rights within the ballpark though? The game was played in St Louis, i dont really see how the Red Sox could claim any sort of ownership on the ball really.

Would the final out baseball be worth all of this trouble? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/base...ex.html?cnn=yes I honestly dont think Reinsdorf would make this big of a deal out of the final out. I really think that he was happy to win it all, and the ball was just icing on the cake. Mods please delete if this topic has been posted already

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) He will not get 7.5 in arbitration, Bruce pulled that number out of his ass. I refuse to believe that

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) (Paul Byrd) also kind of looks like a vulcan. this makes sense. if spock were a pitcher, i could see him throwing junk. I dont know why this struck me as funny, But I cant stop laughing at it. I think Scotty must have a 12 to 6 curveball

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) THis couldn't mean the end of Crede can it? Is his back really that bad? He was awesome in the playoffs. Will Mueller accept an INF bench role? And I DONT want Nomar here. No way- no how! I'm going to pull a Hawk and say "Where would he play?" Don't even say CF! I'm telling you- he is a clubhouse cancer. Mueller would have to completely outperform Crede to take his job from him, IMO. I think Joe's back will be ok next year. if the Sox dont get him on some kind of muscle building program for his back in the offseason, they are insane. Mueller would have to accept a super-sub role. He is a team player though, I think he would go for it. IMO Ryan Freel would be the ideal guy to go after.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) Nomar and Bill kind of sound alike, no? /looks for mooning smily smartass
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) There was no mention of Nomar when he was on. I was referring to the last couple of weeks. I didnt get to hear Bruce just now. Did he really get angry? Were Carmen and Silvy giving him a hard time again? They always play "Here they come Here they come....manny trillo" when he is on.
-
Bruce has been saying that the Sox have been looking at Nomar for a couple of weeks. Maybe he is trying to make it a reality because he is afraid the Trib company is going to try and resign Nomar soon.
-
Im pretty curious about what the cubs will do if Furcal remains with the Braves or signs with the Dodgers. I am thinking it has to be a trade in the works. Maybe the Walker/Murton/Cedeno for Soriano/Mench is still in the works, but they still leave themselves without a proven shortstop. Veddy Veddy Eentedesting.

QUOTE(KeithFranklin @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Who proofed that poll. Hasnt Howry and Wagner already signed elsewhere? Actually, Howry, Wagner AND BJ Ryan are mentioned as pursuables. Whoever made this poll is a moron.
