QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) I had to do an ancient civilizations project in 6th grade. I hated every second of it. glad to hear
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 09:26 AM) He ended the year on a hot streak, but he was hitting terribly around the all-star break (which is why you might think he can't hit). Turned it on after the break and had a pretty good year overall. His defense keeps his value afloat no matter what though. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/...p;year=&t=b May was his bad month. Everything else, he was decent to pretty good

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 08:54 AM) Why do I get the feeling I should run as far away from this as fast as possible? because you are a pessimist and try and pick apart everything

I started listening to a few different podcasts recently, and listened to the Joe Rogan experience yesterday, and his guests are Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson. Anyone interested in ancient civilizations, comet impacts, egypt, extinction events, you need to listen to this podcast. It is absolutely fascinating
  5. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 08:08 AM) Lol I looked at his stats and was like "wtf." Haha he won a gold glove this season, therefore he now falls into the hero category. so, pssshhhhhhhht
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) Chris Emma ‏@CEmma670 1h1 hour ago Bears rookie RB Jordan Howard was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Magically healed from the Fox diagnosed ankle/achilles! Cant wait for him to get 10 carries next game and get benched again!
  7. Good, I'm tired of hearing him talk anyways
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 12:22 PM) Here it is. Electoral College can refuse to put in Trump http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/11/10/...ctoral-college/ http://nypost.com/2016/11/09/the-one-scena...he-white-house/ And for those who think I troll about Chelsea ... look at this. She's being prepped to run for Congress http://nypost.com/2016/11/10/chelsea-clint...n-for-congress/ http://www.mediaite.com/online/report-chel...ressional-seat/ Maybe just maybe my posts have a shred of CORRECT futuristic thinking when a lot of you think I'm full of it. There is a reason why we joke about you and betting houses. Mostly because you are almost always wrong when you make predictions.
  9. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 07:43 AM) Judging by what I've been reading everywhere it looks like Sale is going to be moved for prospects. Unproven prospects. Would anybody be surprised to see that most of those prospects turn out to be a bust? Remember the infamous White Flag trade when the key to the trade was Mike Caruso? KW said that Caruso was a grinder type of player who White Sox fans would come to love. Caruso was a grinder but he had one major flaw, he couldn't play shortstop. Every ball hit to him was an adventure. After 2 seasons he was gone and he was never seen again in MLB. Trading Sale and Quintana could turn out to be the biggest PR disaster since the White Flag Trade. I'm really worried that we're in some real dark years on the South Side of Chicago. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. Remember when the other parts of that trade helped the Sox win the division in 2000? Caruso wasnt the only player in that trade that made the majors, Howry and Foulke had pretty good careers and both of them were key parts of the 2000 team. Look, i understand people are worried about a rebuild. It is risky and there are no guarantees. But insinuating that the Sox shouldnt go down that path because of a trade that happened almost 20 years ago is ridiculous.
  10. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 07:38 AM) I understand dude. Hypothetically you and I want their starting outfield plus Moncada and Devers..........................................and the people in hell want ice water. My point was he didn't put out a realistic trade. Didnt really seem like your point at all. Seemed like your point was to call his source dumb, and now you are backtracking it to what you feel is realistic
  11. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 06:15 PM) I would say he is a lousy source. There is no way Boston would trade JBJ and Benintendi in any trade. That would leave them with 2 starting outfield vacancies. These people are just throwing stuff out and hoping something sticks. That wasn't a source rumor, that was Callis being asked what he would want from Boston for Sale
  12. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 12:38 PM) I mean that's a possibility I suppose, but that leaves us going through a season or more of a storyline that just gets wiped away with a reset button. That's just poor story telling if that's where they're going with it. Not really, I think what this season is establishing is that these bots have a memory that cannot be wiped away cleanly and completely, and they are starting to remember previous lives(which is confusing their creators). I also think Ford is responsible for this, i just dont know his motive for it(yet)
  13. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 09:19 AM) The only problem with the Young William/Old William scenario is that we would have to believe that at the end of the Young William/Dolores adventure, she basically gives up on her new found freedom and reverts back to being a dumb host as she is portrayed in Episode 1 with Old William. I like the idea of a "real" Bernard though. Gives up? I would think she would have been reprogrammed, i dont think it would be voluntary
  14. John Feinstein just said on his sport minute that if you are busted for PEDs once it should be a full year suspension and a second failed test should be banishment from the NFL. I really can't stand that guy
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) What is going on with Howard. Did he have an achilles injury or doesn't he? after the game he said nothing is wrong with him, he is fine. I have no idea why Fox spreads misinformation like that, if that ends up being true. That is way outside of misdirecting the next opponent
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 12:55 PM) Hmmm. Not really any disparaging comments towards the Sox, but interesting nonetheless. He said "they put me in orthotics", seems like he is blaming the sox for his injuries. You can blame the Sox for a lot of things, but bad medical decisions arent normally one of them
  17. i am already sick of the orthotics discussion with Lawrie. Dude has been injury prone for his entire career
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:33 AM) I have a feeling Goldman will reach Geno Atkins level in the upcoming years. Dude is a monster. He has Tommy Harris (pre injury obviously) quickness off the snap. He is so fast
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) This is one of those hard games to evaluate. The defense looked fantastic the first half until it seemed to wither after all the meltdowns by the Bears offense. Jordan Howard and Floyd played fantastic. Hell, the dline looked great for the 1st half. Disappointing how the defense came out to start the second half though. I didn't pay much attention after that. The big thing to me is Floyd is looking like a legit pass-rusher, which is huge and despite the fumble, Howard looked like a beast. Cutler was freaking awful. Worst game I've ever seen him play. Oline didn't help him, but man that was ugly. He looked off the whole game. not worse than that first MNF game against the Packers
  20. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 10:22 AM) So, how long do you think the "not Hillary" hangover will last? By that I mean how long will the people who voted for him wait to turn on him for not doing what he campaigned on. (Deporting Mexicans and Muslims, prosecuting Clinton). That's a couple of examples I don't see happening. (at least not wholesale (deportations)) i dunno man, i continue to be surprised at how much people love what he says and completely ignore what he does.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 07:05 AM) "I hate to make it personal, but for me it is personal," he said. "It feels great. I don't want to say, '(Expletive) you, Chicago.' But, I want to say, '(Expletive) you, Chicago.'" LOL Chris Conte Oh, you already did that against the Packers three years ago
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 13, 2016 -> 04:20 PM) Floyd kept getting in the backfield which is a great sign, but he just couldn't tackle. FELT like he could have had at least 3 sacks Winston was slippery today, Floyd wasn't the only one that lost a few
