QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 09:36 AM) Um, they have played one of the weakest schedules in the entire country (337 out of 351 per Kenpom, RPI isn't as good of an indicator but they are 291 there as well). you should see the past few years where they pretty much actually played the sisters of the poor. Im not expecting a run in the tournament or even to make the tournament, but for the first time in a long time they have a good chance at some form of post season play. You gotta start somewhere after bottoming out

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 09:43 AM) Not so much that. They have basically signed Stan Bowman to the time where it will be up to him to rebuild this when all his players are past his prime. Seems only appropriate he ride this out. That wasn't directed at you fwiw

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 08:12 AM) Hawks sign Stan Bowman to 3-year extension certain people wonder what he has done to deserve the extension

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 08:07 AM) The fact that we still don't really run Hoiberg's offense is pretty alarming. ISO offense FTW

Salukis are 18-3. It isnt like they have been world beaters(they got smoked by Wichita St), but their schedule hasnt been sisters of the poor either. It doesnt make sense but it has been fun so far

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) I think he comes back too often, actually. The reaction to him is less every time he returns. I do believe he enjoys putting the other guys over, and he respects the business enough to put his ego aside. I heard one of his shoot interviews once and he talked about Hall putting him over in WCW even though Bischoff nixed it. You could tell he really appreciated what Hall did for him -

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 07:18 PM) In other news, Jericho continues his "put the new guy over tour 2016" when he faces AJ Styles tonight. I think he enjoys putting the new guys over because it gives him flexibility to go away and do fozzy then come back and nobody is tired of him -
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 06:18 PM) Anyone else find it interesting that the Bears are meeting with a lot of WRs? They met with Braxton Miller today. If they let Alshon walk, I'm gonna go crazy. They won't let him walk, that is moronic. I think they want to make sure they have depth and never have to go out there with Bellamy, Mariani and Meredith ever again

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 01:42 PM) As a 30 year old coming off an almost 7 WAR season he settles for 3 years $75 million. If he opts out next year after being paid $27.5 million, can he get another 3 year $75 million contract as a 31 year old if he puts up a 3 WAR season? That deferral must have been huge. Well DA, this is an interesting quote you used of mine

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:23 PM) Which is funny, because he ignores EVERYONE who had a chain in this mess up until he gets to the ONE Republican in the line, the Governor, who knew about it last and had absolutely nothing to do with its inception. The local Democrats in the town council? Ignored. The government agencies like the EPA and so on that knew about this? Nothing. But the Gov/ IMPEACH HIM! i mean who cares what political party they are affiliated with. Fire them all and arrest them all. Why even draw the line and start pointing fingers

Broncos defense has to go even more beastmode than they did yesterday against New England, and I dont really see how that is possible. Plus, Cam isnt a sitting duck in the pocket like Brady is, I really cant see any scenario that the Broncos win this game

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) The Edward Edwards conspiracy theory tied to this is pretty interesting. Some pretty crazy coincidences. If that really is him in episode 6 at the courthouse, that is messed up

Incredibly stupid play by Hillman results in a turnover, which turned into a touchdown by NE

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 12:22 PM) I want the last 10 minutes of my life back...jeesh, what a big bag of s*** this thread is. Forum rules dictate time spent on bad threads is not refundable.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 07:52 PM) Lol at Mark Jackson calling that good straight up defense by Tony Snell. I'll take the no call but that is clearly a foul. Lebron stuck his arm out too, I thought it was a good no call

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) Tell us more about your brilliant championship plan. Oh wait, that's right. You don't have one. Oh boy, I feel the heat from this burn First step in my plan would be to get rid of Gar. Whether Paxson reassumed his role as GM or they hire a new one, it's pretty clear that Gar is a very divisive force in the front office. -
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 04:57 PM) Do you really think that if someone criticized the team and probably said something to the effect that his bosses are "clueless and they suck" and cooper replied, "yes they do but we are trying to get better" that they would sell more tickets? I'm with you where I really wish he wouldn't do that. But I understand his point of view. None of us would like it if we were yelled at work in front of everyone that we suck. However, it really doesn't make that much of a difference in attendance or the team. The thing is, this isn't at work. This is on social media. This isn't Cooper being heckled on the field and losing his s*** on a fan, this is someone who sent him(supposedly) a private message to tell him this. If someone I didn't know sent me a private message and told me stuff like that, and I responded similarly I can tell you that A: my employer wouldn't care and B: I wouldn't be worried about responding similarly. And I highly doubt people in the front office were like "holy s*** Cooper just told off a fan, better tell him to knock it off"

The moral of the story is Facebook messenger is not private messenging, and if someone sends a Facebook message to you(or, someone pretending to be you) and says something you don't appreciate, then you are not allowed to reply and tell them to f*** off because hey messenger isn't private. The other moral is if you save a picture to a hard drive and claim it says something, you aren't required to produce the picture because internets

QUOTE (bjm676 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 01:03 PM) Hopefully, this pushes the thread to 400. If Sox didn't Yoenis, I'm glad he went back to the Mets. He just wanted to stay there. Nothing Sox could have done. As for Desmond, please no. If they are serious about getting another SS, why not just keep Alexei at $4M and sign or trade for another OF. Alexei is not available anymore

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 01:43 PM) Oh my goodness. I hate on the Bulls A LOT. But even I'm not that bad. a 1996 trade draft day trade? #nonsense. Welcome to the Garpax apologist group now -
Alright, Lets get this b**** to 400 and lock 'er down before Chisoxfn goes on a mega thread rampage LAST CALL

QUOTE (captain54 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Because I'm not obligated to provide information that is easily attainable online.. or prove anything to anyone.. Go to the Sox Pride and Passion FB group and the Donny Cooper FB page and do the research yourself, if you are so inclined.. My guess is that you'll figure out a way to poke holes in it either way. So is it the Don Cooper baseball page that hasn't had a post in 4 years, or the Don Cooper athlete page that has zero posts? I mean, this dastardly deed was so heinous that you and lip saved it to your computers, so you can't post it here? Strange. Even more strange that you were asked to provide it on WSI and wouldn't do it there either

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) You fundamentally don't understand how the NBA works. No team that is any good trades for stars. They simply don't have the assets to do it. Pau to the Lakers is the rare exception and everyone agreed Memphis got screwed in the trade and something fishy was going on. Memphis did get Marc Gasol, so in the end it wasn't too terrible. At the time it was a coup though -
QUOTE (ChiSox1917 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) Are you kidding? We really couldn't match the Mets offer for Cespedes? Honestly, what was the point in even trading for Frazier if not to actually try and field a full roster capable of making the playoffs? We have the worst outfield in the league. That offer is pretty gross

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Fine. I'll leave. At least my Jackson and Desmond predictions will stand the test of time. Dick Allen can find a new group of fans to whine about and leave me alone. At least stay and explain this because I have no idea what this means. Did something come true of these predictions?
