QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) Apparently I have been missing out on St Germain in Wisconsin. Its a pretty cool place. Its a big party on the lakes, and pretty close to Minocqua which is also a really cool town

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 11:34 AM) My family used to stay in 3 or 4 privately owned cabins that were within spitting distance of Elbert's for years until the owners of one of the cabins decided to stop renting it out. Now we've moved over to Leisure Lodge resort on Big St Germain and have been there for 6 or 7 years. Last year we stopped at the ice cream shop and I wandered over to Elberts for the first time in about 15 years and not a damn thing changed
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) I'm with you. Somewhere in the middle. For every Bautista bat flip which I thought was awesome, there is a Grant Balfour type BS thing that really pisses me off. The timing is everything. Being excited about a big hit late in the game that ties it up or gives you a lead, how can someone have a problem with that? Acting like a moron rounding the bases after flipping the bat hitting a HR that makes the score 12-2? That's just dumb. The thing about Balfour is that he cant take it when he loses the battle. So many times he has gotten into it with players when they beat him, and thats just bush league. If you are gonna get all pumped up and talk smack when you win, then you need to suck it up and accept it when you lose.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) I'm making two separate trips to St Germain in June. One with friends, one with family. We used to stay at Elberts Resort on Little St Germain
  6. QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 05:33 PM) There is a line of sportsmanship that shouldn't be crossed. Baseball has stayed too far away from that line, but I also don't want choreographed homerun celebrations. Baseball hasnt even approached choreographed homerun celebrations. They cant even get past spur of the moment excitement from hitting homeruns
  7. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 12:34 AM) I am so flipping glad to see Lawrie wearing number 15. His fire and dirtbag style of play is such a refreshing sight after seeing a pretty boy soft serve variety named Gordon Beckham. Even if Lawrie sucks - at least he'll be passionately pissed off while doing so. That said, I've got tall expectations for him at the dish this year and think he'll be a great pickup. I think health will always be the key for him, the talent is there.
  8. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 04:57 PM) I am pretty obsessed with Marianos mac n cheese and my wife is pretty over me wanting it. There is some flavor in it that I just cant put my finger on. It's called crack, shipps
  9. Joey Crawford (finally) retiring
  10. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) I understand Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes Captain America is on the rebellious side of the Civil War to protect Bucky, but can anyone who has read the Civil War comics explain why Tony Stark is the "play-by-the-rules, yay government oversight" guy? Pretty sure its guilt, lives lost. Im sure there is something that happens between General Ross and Tony that changes his mind towards registration
  11. http://screenrant.com/captain-america-civil-war-trailer-2/ can we just skip to May 6th please
  12. Civil War trailer 2 drops today
  13. QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 07:32 AM) We have a busy summer planned. We will be working from a remote mountain house in June cataloging a writer's unpublished works for possible publications. Later in the month we will be flying to the Pacific northwest for some hiking and camping. Later in the summer we're heading to Chicago and then St. Germain Wisconsin for a couple weeks. I'm also trying to fit in a golf coach's camp. Make sure you stop at the Go Karts
  14. poor Chicago St, about to get Raunered and bounced from their tournament
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 07:32 AM) It sets him up to have barely any guaranteed money in the last 2 years. I expect him to be good and play out the contract but most of that $12 million is in the first 2 years. really, in year two he only has 2M guaranteed. The way this thing is structured, they can send him packing after two years and not sweat it at all. And they can let him play the entire contract out and it is very affordable.
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 07:00 AM) Wow, with NEGATIVE off-days this year, I hope Sale's arm doesn't fall off. i am predicting an 8 man rotation. As well as a 3 man closer crew
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) Every quote from them the last few weeks is about focusing more in ST, etc. Every year, every team says this
  18. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 06:08 AM) Cool beans, didn't know MLB added 21 extra games this year. ORLY, I amend my prediction to 106-88

  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 07:40 PM) Reaves you dirty dirty f*** It looked really bad full speed, but in slo mo you can see Erhoff sold it a lot more than it seemed in real time
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) Where is the 160+ option? who dis
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) 89-73 is this record generated by The Show playing this season 100 times and averaging it out
  23. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:12 PM) What the hell was going on in the video feed?? I popped it on and the score was 3-0... then it went down to 1-0. As heard at Wrigley Field and Soxtalk.com: "Guys, what's the score?" 1-0
