QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 3, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) Yea it was a very smart move by the show. I think they have been learning some lessons, they wont be perfect (hey Dorne!) but they're getting really good at progressing storylines while also putting in the details. So back to speculation, do the Freys take revenge on Ramsay now? I would imagine they do at some level but who would they ally with? Yea they will, although im not sure when Walder will find out what happened. Probably could ally with the Lannisters since Roose f***ed over the Lannisters with Sansa

QUOTE (lostfan @ May 3, 2016 -> 12:07 PM) I don't typically like to get in the "books vs. show" debate but the show moves much faster without being tied to the books and it's not affected by the dullness of the past couple of seasons. They waste no time. Arya was on the streets for 2 episodes, and I feel like before, she would have spent half the season there. Im glad, i was already sick of seeing her get her ass kicked and taunted

John Danks should never start for the White Sox again
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 3, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) Piggybacking off of what Brian has said, a local sports radio host that may or may not be on the air at this moment told me they discussed releasing Danks upon arriving home from road trip. This same host tweeted about the possibility yesterday. That's all he had. I believe that this is happening. May not be by tomorrow though. We shall see. does his name rhyme with Splat Fiegel

JS, how can you sit here and talk about creative freedom and filmmaker friendliness within the DCEU when there have been two movies made, directed by the same guy, who just so happens to be part of the creative brain trust? And they have already had multiple filmmakers leave their films. It doesn't make sense

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:38 AM) So, I'm curious if that "something stupid" already happened in this episode. Ramsay can easily play off Roose's death as poison. But I'm not entirely sure he can do that with Walda and the baby. He can't say they died in childbirth (Walda was obviously walking around with the kid), and he can't really say she was poisoned (since I doubt there's any body to be found). Maybe I'm overthinking this. Ramsay has control of Winterfell and everyone there is terrified of him, so he might be able to control the information. But that seems like a bad dangling thread from Ramsay. To sum up his situation: (1) Roose destroyed the alliance with the Lannisters by taking in Sansa (and Cersei authorized Littlefinger to march on Winterfell with the Knights of the Vale last season); (2) Ramsay lost support in the North by treating Sansa like crap and then losing Sansa; and (3) Presumably, Ramsay just lost the support of the Freys by killing Walda and her child. When Sansa reappears, it's going to be Karstarks + Boltons vs. everyone else... pretty sure he is gonna march on Castle Black too, where he is gonna have the Wildlings waiting for him, as opposed to just the Lord Commander and his knights. Its been pretty obvious for quite a while that Ramsays impulsive nature will do him in, Roose saw it and started to back away from it before Ramsay killed him.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) Did anyone else think Roose killed Ramsey at first? That was so unexpected/awesome. absolutely. The filming of that scene was awesome, because it definitely could have gone either way. Roose could have been done with Ramsay, since he has they Frey heir. Poor Ramsay, just removed the brains of the operation. He is gonna do something really stupid and get caught out for it

Jason >>>>>>>>>>> Hawk
QUOTE (harkness @ May 2, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) I guess you missed the part where he said it was a great umpired series and THEN this guy did what he did. The last couple years Hawk has been trying to be nice to the umpires (because he was given directives). The other day was the first day in a long while where the umpire incurred so much of his wrath... and deservedly so. Nothing has changed in the past two seasons.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 2, 2016 -> 09:03 AM) Curious to see how the Browns draft from this year turns out. 14 players taken and added a bunch of picks for future years. very smart of them to just take as many players as they can. Even though they are the Browns, they cant strike out on every player. I think. Maybe. right?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 2, 2016 -> 07:50 AM) Turned the game on when I got home yesterday afternoon, immediately heard Hawk complaining about the umps, had it on mute the rest of the way. Ending road trips is even better this season, knowing that a listenable PBP guy is returning to the booth at home. harkness told me that this doesnt happen anymore. At least not in the past 2 years since he got a talking to. You must have been watching something else

DC Films
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 1, 2016 -> 09:57 PM) Edgar Wright knew about the shared universe, he was actually the first director in the MCU back in 2004 and is one it's original architects. Edgar Wright did not like how Marvel would not let him be Edgar Wright. He wanted to make an Edgar Wright film and Marvel wanted a Marvel movie. Marvel isn't known for letting their directors fully express themselves, it's like they have a sign on the door that says, 'No Auteurs.' That's why they like young, journeymen filmmakers. WB is the exact opposite. Man of Steel feels and looks like a collab between Nolan and Snyder. BvS feels and looks like a Zack Snyder movie. Suicide Squad is 100% David Ayer. Marvel is very producer driver and DC is all about the filmmaker. No one approach is better than the other, but it makes sense why a guy like Edgar Wright would leave Ant Man. Auteur doesnt mean "Good". Marvel has had plenty of directors do their own things with their movies, with their "restriction" being that they have to keep it within that connected universe. Edgar Wright is a quirky director who has his own style and it clashed with Marvels view of the character. This was disappointing but hardly an indictment when you look at how Ant Man performed considering all of the bad press that it generated because of Wrights departure. I highly doubt Wright would want to conform and compromise his movie visions under the Auteur known as Zack Snyder, since the guy laid out the entire DCEU already.
