  1. Well that is certainly an opinion
  2. This offensive line was malpractice
  3. Bananas games are gonna be a blast
  4. If he is fired or will be fired, and he is looking for a soft landing spot and wants to get his work on nfl tape, I could understand it. It’s a lot of money there for that university to eat like you said
  5. If you were Lincoln Riley would you leave College head coach money behind to be an OC in the NFL? Dude makes 11 million a year at USC, unless his seat is hot I have to think that is a really dumb move for him Edit: for context, the highest paid OC in the NFL makes 3 million a year. I can’t imagine him leaving 8M on the table https://frontofficesports.com/highest-paid-nfl-offensive-coordinators/
  6. Haters of bad baseball ≠ Sox haters but I know the distinction is difficult for someone who thought this team would be decent last season
  7. Because TLR was never known to be a guy who had a loose don’t care clubhouse until he came back to the Sox. I don’t even know what that villages comment is supposed to mean but alrighty
  8. Also amusing is the guy getting mad at the guy getting mad. Messageboard inception!
  9. lol it’s funny when you assign that “hippie” adage to a TLR clubhouse. Does not compute
  10. Wait a minute, KW was in charge of the minors before he took over as GM. He was part of that problem, was he not? sounds so familiar I can’t put my finger on it
  11. Am I mixing it up with Scioscia, or was Nevin a “sabes are nerd stuff” type guy too
  12. I never heard that they offered to reopen it
  13. The hiring process for them was 2 weeks in which their consultants went over coaches and GMs, they hired Poles and 3 days later flus was the guy. Just hard for me to believe in 3 days Poles was like “this is my guy” staying with him after last season though, it’s killer. It counted on one thing, flus becoming something he had never shown us that he could do, be the team CEO that he talked about. He put on a defensive show at the end of last season against some bad opponents and they still lost games they should have won. Just damning “evidence” of him getting better
  14. Every game since Flus was fired seems like it has even more magnified Poles mistakes. It’s weird because I really do believe he was railroaded into the Flus hire and I believe he should have been afforded the opportunity to hire his own guy, but the things he has promised to do he simply has not done. If QB was his focus it was quite the decision to send his prize out there this season behind this line. oh yea, the lynchpin OL that he HAD TO HAVE Ryan Bates went on the IR this weekend after playing I think less than a quarter this season. My dude Poles was an offensive lineman his entire life and it feels like he has never seen one ever
  15. As shitty of a season as it has been, Caleb is about to be top five bears passing season ever. Possibly top two if he really goes off
  16. Bears be Baresing
  17. Let’s hope his brothers don’t carry the torch
  18. Huge difference in mispronouncing someone’s name who you have never met or have only read the name, and a hall of fame basketball player at the university for which you are covering a game. I also have to call people for my job, and sometimes I say it wrong and I’m corrected, and then I am trusted to say it correctly for the rest of the call. I don’t have a producer in my ear telling me things nor do I have game notes handed to me prior to the game that have the “things needed to know” for my call. It’s not the same and the thing is, this isn’t one of our posters pointing this out. This is awful announcing, and they are doing it because Schriffen had similar stuff happen last season. He is definitely under a microscope and at this point only he can help himself out
  19. Complain about the product or complain about the complainers. Everyone is bitching, amirite. anywho, thanks for adding to the thread that you don’t like, giving it more life
  20. Pretty sure Manny was the pickup guy in the airport but he screwed it up. I can’t find any stories specifically about that situation, only aggregated stories about Sosa
  21. You save maybe 5-7M and they start fresh with a new player that has a similar skill set, it’s the best I can do
  22. That implies he is in on the bit and actually the funniest one of the bunch to which I highly disagree
