and the world pointed and laughed QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:43 AM) Justin Bieber should be one of those words that the Soxtalk forums censor out. we can replace it with "ruffian"
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:08 AM) BTW, the word thug gets thrown around way too much to describe, and let's be real now, young black athletes. When's the last time a white athlete was called a thug? I don't recall that word being used to describe Incognito even though he was recorded threatening another person and his family with violence. Was it used against Roethlisburger? Not that I can remember. Oh but ranting on TV and being a poor sport now makes you a thug even though no real crimes were committed. I hate bringing race into this but just read twitter, FB and YouTube and Sherman is being called a thug and much more worse things including the N word. All because he sounded like a roided up WWF wrestler for half a minute, SMH. I ain't accussing anyone of that here, just wanted to vent on the ridiculousness of this. /rant Incognito is referred to as a racist POS bully, so he gets his

Oblivion seemed to me that it would have been better off as a short. It was just too long and had too many pointless little things going on
  4. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 01:15 PM) Might wanna check that again. lmao, i had a feeling it was user edited. To be honest though, all but Scott Hall seem plausible
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 01:05 PM) This. If Tyler Flowers is the f***ing starting catcher for the White Sox again, I will f***ing kill someone. Lombard is not safe anymore

  9. we all want to witness Trestmans fiery passion in the preseason
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 09:28 AM) So is Hahn gonna comment on this or not? What does it matter?
  11. Good thing Tanaka's wifes LA pop career figured in so much to this. And the close travel to Japan
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 08:38 AM) This Pro Bowl draft is just awful. What a terrible idea.
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 08:23 AM) I dunno, if he's telling the truth about Crabtree being a dick to him in the past, I can understand it. you know both of those guys were saying some crazy s*** to each other during that game. I just think it was a poor decision to go to Sherman immediately after the final second ticked off. He just made that play, they just won the game, he was totally charged up. Someone said it earlier, they were lucky he didnt drop a few F bombs
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 04:33 AM) Am I the only one that became a Sherman fan after that game? I want the Broncos to win, but I like Sherman now. After watching his troll video, i became a big fan. Especially after he took a punch right in the mouth and still sat there and laughed at the guy
  15. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) Did anyone else notice the fact that Batista now rocks some tight ass jeans, got a tat around his belly button, and waxed his eye brows? Pretty sure that belly button tat has been around since before he left
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 06:32 PM) Not too many people are arguing that this fiasco caused her to commit suicide -- there was quite a bit of lag between Hannan's last convo with her and her suicide IIRC. Either way, it is always a very complicated thing and in this case, we know that she had been suicidal before. Like you said, who knows why, though I bet her difficulty with her gender identity didn't help. I wouldn't want to try to draw a straight line between the threat of this article and her death. It isn't clear that he/Grantland was willing to publish it if she were alive. It's not a straight line, but there is a line QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) "Oh no, a reporter is going to reveal that I'm transgendered. Oh look, a plastic bag." QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 12:36 PM) I didn't notice this thread on Soxtalk until now - and yes, reading the lengthly article, it seemed, to me, that she made one last plea for the writer to come see her proof and then squash the story, and he said hell no and she killed herself.
  17. Krohl/Vanderbilt previously attempted suicide, no? There are many different reasons she could have committed suicide, among them being outed as a man, being outed as a fraud, depression. We are putting the blame on Hannan, but ultimately Krohl/Vanderbilt took her own life. Hannan may have played a part but he didn't do this to push this person over the edge.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 02:13 PM) If the author had written the article about how this person had been hiding details from their background, fabricated potentially their education, wouldn't respond to questions about their education, and came up with credentials that couldn't be checked...would that not have been a quality article? That's the thing though, it started like that. You are acting as if the author found out first that Essay was transgendered and attacked it immediately. It was uncovered on the way to trying to uncover the truth about the persons credentials, accidentally. Exposing it to business partners was wrong, but finding it out wasn't wrong.
  19. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 01:51 PM) It's football. It should be played outside. Right. Outside in Dallas or Arizona or Tampa

I think Green Lantern scared them. And it should have
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 11:46 AM) I don't think what the guy on the 49ers sideline was all that bad. Maybe it's the angle of the camera, but it looks like he doesn't get out of the way. That will happen on all most every sideline. No one is going to help you. That's not what it looked like to me, he stepped into whatever he was doing, shoulder or trip
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) They asked Bruce Levine. No, they asked Industry Sources
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 11:35 AM) Well, the last part's easy - they don't eat red meat. Kobe beef is pretty red meat
  24. The guy that tripped the Seattle player, was he a coach or a player that isn't dressed for the game?
