QUOTE (balfanman @ May 5, 2014 -> 03:10 PM) A Tribune article today P. K. talks about his memorable moments in the Sox / Cubs series. He makes no mentioned of being hit in the face by tonight's starter. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,4101549.story I almost wish he was starting tonight for revenge. Never, NEVER FORGET ! greg demands blood.

Vince should defiitely pay him more to suck in the ring and on the mic and to wear skinny jeans and womens sunglasses

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2014 -> 02:10 PM) The last time the Sox had a legitimate future regular SS on their roster who wasn't the regular SS was 2008. Orlando Cabrera was the Sox SS. He made 160 starts and finished 144 games. Alexei started the other 2 at SS and finished up 16. I would think moving forward, if the Sox really think Semien is a long term option at SS, you will see him there from time to time. agreed, but its hard to determine that right now with this roster scramble due to injuries. Right now they are just trying to make sure someone is at each position.

In short, Jose Abreu is awesome and everyone knows it

The problem is the Yankees prospects are usually fools gold

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 5, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) Donald is small for a DT. I'm sure that is a legit concern for some teams. Did he mean they should take Hyde in the first round? If he was talking like 2nd or 3rd, I could see that, but 1st round would be beyond crazy. No, he wanted Hyde in the first. I like hyde, he is a tough runner, but not only is that a fireable offense because it is a RB, but it is even more insane considering the bears needs and who should be available at that time.

Hub Arkush was just on the score, and said he wants no part of Aaron Donald because he is too small. Then he said he hopes the Bears take Carlos Hyde. I just dont even....

He texted me when the forklift thing happened, and not after that. So that probably is why he wasnt digging it

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 5, 2014 -> 10:57 AM) You idiot, MLB The Show 2014 is a PS exclusive oh do tell

Manziel will be what he chooses to be. He has the talent to be an excellent QB, but he will have a harsh realization that he isnt BMOC anymore

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 4, 2014 -> 08:46 PM) USSSA is 3-10 feet, so you really get to tee off. It's great. BTW, I played against Cedric Benson tonight in a co-ed rec league. He only hit once since he was late to the game. It's a good thing he used an alloy bat, because he can probably hurt someone if he used a good composite. when i lived in carbondale, a few ex saluki baseball and football players were sprinkled in the league. One guy was on my team, his name was Derek Krantz. I didnt know he used to be a pitcher, and we were warming up one time and I let one fly and it surprised him. Then he smiled and threw one back at me. I have NEVER seen a ball move that fast in my life out of someones hand. I caught it and said "OK, im warm." and he just laughed

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 5, 2014 -> 07:24 AM) Did you know the Sox are entering a 4 game set with the Cubs tonight? Probably. Most people in Chicago don't though. Why are they doing everything possible to kill this series off? It makes no sense. It used to take over the city for a weekend or two during the summer. Instead we are playing in miserable weather in early May during the week and nobody cares. It's sad to see what these games have become. It's not because the team's are bad. They've both been bad before and the series was never hurt by it. In fact it was a great sox team in 2005 that probably did the most to kill it. Winning the World Series in Chicago was no longer seemingly impossible and the Cubs were then therefore no longer the biggest date on the schedule. But now they've done the absolute worst possible job of scheduling these games to try and put the final nail in the coffin in this once great series. This is the result of them making interleague a normal thing, as opposed to twice a year. It sucks that the series was marginalized, it really is/was a lot of fun

My buddy told me that Kane/Bryan was absurd, and not in a good way

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 4, 2014 -> 06:13 PM) It was good for a Spider-Man movie, mainly because Garfield, Stone, and DeHaan knocked it out of the park. I'd give it a 7/10. Great action scenes, great acting. Reminded me of Iron Man 2, to be honest. If you go in wanting a Spider-Man flick and not something like The Winter Soldier or The Dark Knight, you should come out happy. It's a popcorn action flick. It can be better though. They really need to speed the plot up for whatever they're building. Also...they did a subtle hint at SHIELD.

QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ May 4, 2014 -> 07:52 PM) If I was Rick Hahn and I was making a move on a starting pitcher... I'd be looking west towards San Diego. The Padres have a guy in their system that is gonna be lights out. His name is Heywood Jablome. Padres match up well with the Sox as trade partners too. O I see what you did there

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2014 -> 07:48 PM) MLB The Show is only for PS.

QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ May 4, 2014 -> 07:46 PM) Get your s*** straight. MLB The Show is a platform exclusive for Playstation ONLY. Yea yea yea I already was corrected

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 4, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) MLB The Show is not available for XBOX haha Point remains, McCarthy is a good starter, why would they want our crap

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 4, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) I still say we should trade Beckham for Brandon McCarthy. If they want more, throw Kepp in as well. "Xbox One, on" "Play Mlb the show 2014" "Trades off"

I think we will see a lot of ups and downs with Abreu, he seems to be in a down valley right now, he looks like he did when he went 1/25

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ May 4, 2014 -> 03:13 PM) Tank hit the 3 run homer, so we're buyers again, right? If Hahn can find a cost controlled young RHP and flip some of the excess from this team, then the Sox should be buyers. My post about JS was tongue in cheek, but I think Hahn should be looking, regardless

QUOTE (flavum @ May 4, 2014 -> 03:13 PM) Now...will Jordan Danks be on the plane back to Chicago? Sorry Jordan, your bags were routed to Charlotte. Don't know how that happened. You better go get them

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 4, 2014 -> 03:10 PM) He stayed out of the game thread. Very true, I stand corrected. All hail Wite!

Let's just trade Beckham for Samardalphabet and both sides of town will be happy

Wite did nothing to deserve praise
