  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 31, 2013 -> 03:57 PM) You may not have any idea where this is going, but I have been watching wrestling since 1980. I do not need to wait a week or 2 to see a guy get moved out of title scene. I have seen it many times over the years. come on now, pretty much everyone in this thread has been watching wrestling anywhere from 15-30 years, maybe more. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Of course there are favorites, and of course things fall apart for unknown and unexplained reasons. Taking Bryan out of the title hunt by no means says that he is getting buried. CM Punk hasnt been in a true title hunt for a while now, and he didnt get buried, he still gets plenty of pop and main events PPVs. Bryans whole schtick has been the unappreciated little man, he is the new Rey Mysterio. It has been since he got fired from the company for choking a guy while in NXT, and his fan support brought him back. The guy will get chances, he isnt dead in the water.
  2. QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 31, 2013 -> 03:45 PM) We have no idea where this is going, Like others have said Wyatts whole shpeel was taking down the machine, and he spoke of how he never got anywhere behind the fans and such. I would really be shocked if this takes him out of "the chase". Give it a week or 2 before you bad mouth it. To be honest, even though I love him as a performer, the YES gimmick has started to annoy me. I'm ready for him to start something fresh. The Wyatt's dont really seem to be taking down the machine though. Their targets have been Kane, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, and CM Punk. Not exactly like they are trying to annoy HHH and the McMahons. I am interested though, I wasnt sure if their backwoods/cajun/the hills have eyes approach would work.
  3. so past the J4L porn talk and NPB sucks talk, how long will this process take?

under what circumstances is salami on crackers NOT delicious? insanity
  6. Mills may have graded out worse than Webb, and may have allowed a lot of hurries of Cutler, but his lack of penalties were really nice. And, I didnt see Jay get absolutely crushed by a rusher because Mills totally whiffed on a block. And towards the end of Webbs career as a Bear, im pretty sure Kellen Davis had to hang around Webb to chip block and help out Webb as much as possible because Cutlers brains were getting scrambled. They did leave him out on an island a lot though, but then again they play opposite sides of the line, and the LT is supposed to be the stronger lineman.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 31, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) Jesse Crain to Houston. They don't seem so sure he will be ready by Opening Day. And the sun will rise tomorrow

  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2013 -> 10:50 AM) http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10220178...rew-bynum-trade Sigh. I hate the Bulls FO. I wasnt in favor of the trade when I thought they had to hold on to the cancer that is Bynum, but if they can shed Deng, AND waive Bynum to save 12.5 million, I am all for it
  12. Orton vs anyone is boring to me, so it really doesnt matter to me who he goes up against. I think Batista is a draw, he isnt a Rock-type draw, but he had some good pop when he left 4 years ago. Im guessing there is going to be a Batista/Lesnar/Orton elimination chamber match before Mania, and from there we will see who goes which way. Dont forget, old man Hulkamania is rumored to be jumping into the rumble and making a run into Mania for something. Knowing how that guy is, he is going to want a big match with someone.
  13. QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 31, 2013 -> 08:11 AM) Haven't we had enough of part-timers in the title picture? They need the hype going into Mania, as much as it sucks.

    Too slow? Ptatc? NEVER!
  15. I was talking with my buddy about where this could lead last night, and I was wondering who the Family's target would be now, since they "acquired" Bryan. They are going to need to go up against another solo player who has a little backup. I was thinking possibly a showdown with Punk + Shield, since both of them are ex-Heyman clients and have a little history together. I just dont see Bryan entering the title picture in Mania right now, especially with Lesnar and Batista re-entering the picture.
  16. I'm a fan of Bray Wyatt. That guy believes in his character

  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 08:33 PM) I still think Norv is a really bright offensive mind. He is, the problem is he keeps getting head coach gigs

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 08:23 PM) All I know is I'm cooler than all you I have read your tweets and I know this is wholly untrue
  20. @RapSheet: Agree. RT @fishsports I don't think Norv Turner has been fired in Cleve yet. New Browns coach might like him. #cowboys will like him more. Norv turner is the cockroach that will never die
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 04:51 PM) Its the NFL people. Guys in the 2nd round are drafted to start early. This isn't some league where you can sit and develop in the minors. James Anderson was a vet and he played in a few games with Briggs and struggled mightily. Did you even notice him on Sunday. I'm not saying he's done and won't be good but through year one, he is a big fat F. The guy got a ton of minutes in the preason and training camp too due to DJ's injuries so it isn't like he had limited activity and then got forced into the gig. He was acting as the training camp / preseason starter for pete sakes. I understand he has disappointed this year, after watching him in the preseason I really thought he would be able to wrestle the job from Williams. But he didn't, unfortunately, and he looked bad doing it. I'm not going to say he is a bust or an Emery miss because of what I saw though, he played in a terrible defense ravaged by injuries and played a position considered to to be a key cog to the defense. Also, we are all still spoiled by watching Urlacher(outside of last season of course). We know what great play looks like at the position and can spot bad play too.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 04:31 PM) As of now...Bostic is a miss. I didn't say he's a bust yet but he was freaking awful. To be frank, given what he has shown, I'd have a hard time thinking it would be a great idea to hand him a starting job next year (we should at least try to bring DJ Williams or another veteran to push him in training camp). This is the NFL, not MLB where you sit around and wait years for guys to develop. Bostic did nothing but get worse and linebacker is typically a position where rookies can excel. Thankfully he has some real nice physical tools. The plan was for him to learn by watching this season, and unfortunately it did not work out that way.
  23. 28 players off the roster after today. Thats a pretty big turnover
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 03:36 PM) Bostic and Greene were bad. I put that on Emery and our defensive coaches. Conte and Wright both regressed drastically this season vs. a season ago under Lovie. Why, I think a chunk of that has to do with coaching. We couldn't tackle properly and more often then not were contiuosly out of position/gaaps. Yes, that falls on the players, but that is very undisciplined football and has to do with poor coaching, imo. PS: I will puke if Lovie ends up with Detroit. He'd be a phenomenal fit for them. I love Lovie and want him to win but not with the Lions. Meh, their defense wasnt bad this year. Undisciplined, sure(which he would clean up of course), but their problem is Stafford and Co totally imploding down the stretch, even with Calvin Johnson getting 10 catch 300 yard games(ON ONE LEG). I dont see Lovie going in there and fixing their offense
  25. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) They have so many holes, they may need to just take the "best defender available," but I'd prefer they go D Line first. Eh, I think they could go DL in the middle rounds and find some good ones. If HHCD is there at 14 i wouldnt think twice about it, but thats just my preference
