  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 03:08 PM) Sunday can't come soon enough. So many meaningful games. Very true, scheduling really worked out in the NFL's favor
  3. Russell Westbrook is out until after the AS break due to arthroscopic surgery on his right knee

porking chickens in this thread, strange
  6. Should be an interesting mix given the types of movie watchers we have here like Caulfield, Qwerty, Milkman, etc. If you feel so inclined you can seperate International movies and Domestic.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 01:39 PM) So the "we're not extending anyone during the 2013 season" policy lasted until they decided the season was over, I take it? Emery rephrased that a week after he said it. He said "We ARENT LOOKING to extend anyone, but if anyone wants to come to us and discuss a deal, and it works for both sides, we would be open to extending someone." Not verbatim, but thats pretty much what he said edit: here is a good article about what he said http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2013/7/26...ery-2013-season

So, top 10 movies of 2013, seperate thread or in here?
  11. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) That pretty much applies to all running backs. Once a RB hits 30, he's ancient. Guys with weight issues tend to flame out quicker, but you are right, RBs are a dime a dozen in the NFL
  12. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) How about the fact that Forte is 5 years older? No way I would take a 28 year old Forte over a 23 year old Lacy. At 28, Forte's got what, maybe 3 good years left? I would also want no part of the drama that comes along with Marshall. I don't care how good he is. I think Lacy's durability in the NFL will be something to watch. He is a force, but already he has had issues with health. Guys that are built like he is (compact, brick s***house) tend to look amazing for a few years and then fall off a cliff. Who knows though, he could be the next Bettis

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 10:47 AM) Well, when there are few rumors floating around, threads like that tend to break down into arguing, nerd stats, and nonsense. Hopefully something will happen soon to get us back on track. To answer the original question, Murphy is the last name I've heard as well. I have to think that the Sox will make some sort of move to at least moderately improve the catcher position. You mean pretty much every thread that goes over 2 pages
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 09:07 AM) Ya, we really needed to see NIU in another BCS game. LOL. They really s*** the bed their last two games. They had a nice run the last two years, it will be tough to replicate what they did

Linda Carter was something else. She makes Gal Gadot look plain, and that picture is probably 35 years old

Do we continue with this thread for ever and ever?
  17. This season has been pretty crazy. The Bears blew the doors off the Cowboys. The Cowboys held the Eagles to 3 points earlier this season. The Eagles blew the doors off the Bears. Very few defenses are formidable anymore, and a funny thing is that 2 of them reside in the NFC West, and the Cardinals and Rams aren't too shabby after the Seahawks and 49ers
  18. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 09:33 PM) So the bad Steelers put up 31 points of offense against the bad Packers and the bad Browns put up 24 points of offense against the bad Bears. These things really don't seem to correlate much except that in order of badness (from baddest to least bad) you could easily rank these teams Browns Rodgers-less Packers Steelers Bears with absolutely no argument from anyone. Shockingly, the least bad teams beat the more bad teams but in an unconvincing fashion you would expect when bad teams play each other. Now two of these bad teams are playing for a division but one of the bad teams might be less bad, definitely to the degree where they can compete against their bad opponent. The measure of this improvement will be who wins on Sunday. Both of these bad teams are oddly equipped with extremely good offenses that can make them difficult outs, because in all seriousness everyone in the NFL is pretty bad this year. Again, the Browns offense scored 17. Cutler threw a pick 6 and Bennett lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. Josh Gordon's touchdown counted of course, but it was total garbage time scoring.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 06:51 PM) And the Jason Campbell led Browns put 31 on the board against the Bears. A team with Rodgers under center will likely be able to control the clock a bit more than whatever Matt Flynn was trying to do last week. That being said, I still think this game is a toss-up. Jason Campbell got a pick 6 and fumble return for a TD, he only put up 17 on the Bears, and 7 of that was a last minute touchdown to Josh Gordon. It's the running backs tearing up the bears
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 06:28 PM) So if Cutler struggles out of the gate Sunday and the game gets out of hand a bit (say a 2 or 3 score lead by the second quarter), does Trestman go with McCown? The only reason McCown would play is if Cutler got injured, IMO.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 04:00 PM) Haha I'm not a fan of 'curvy' women for the most part. I like the thin, long leg types compared to the thicker girls. I have posted both, the best I have gotten from you is "meh".
