  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) We didn't have all the info. $2,100 charged at Target and Walgreens in Warrenville and Hillside before fraud alert went off. All on giftcard. So stupid they didn't check ID. Already got video. Two black guys. Someone stole her wallet off her desk at f***ing work. Security cams there should be interesting tomorrow. Thanks goodness for $0 owed with fraud protection. The two hours at the police department sucked tonight, though. Hopefully an arrest is made. You would be surprised how many people have their wallets/purses/cards stolen off their desks at work. I bet your wife locks her stuff up from now on
  3. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) When I was in college, I used my girlfriends card at a grocery store. The teller was an older lady, and she looked at the card itself. She gavee a look, and said with a smile "You don't look like a [wite's gf]." I just laughed and explained that it was her card and she laughed. It's funny, but exactly why credit card fraud is out of control
  4. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 04:40 PM) Indeed they are. What makes me even more worried about it is the number of times I've swiped my card for a $50+ purchase and the cashier doesn't even ask to look at my card. Stores prefer it that way, they don't want their employees getting into confrontations with criminals
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 07:05 PM) That's crazy to charge that much and the employee doesn't even ask for ID? Awful Happens every day, for much much more than that. I know, I have to recover the funds for my job. That's gift cards they bought, and they probably drove to the stores designated by the gift cards and burned them up already
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) You do realize the first MLB action David Freese got was at age 26 which he had 34 PA. At age 27 he had 270. At age 28 he had 363. so according to this and you Conor is ahead of schedule and will be better then Freese I also realize his numbers were much better than Conors in all three of those seasons. Like I said, Im not saying I want Freese, Im just saying he is better than Conor
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 03:49 PM) Freese has played 2 full seasons, not like he has 6 or 7 to go off of. One pretty good year and one bad. Like I said he has an injury filled past too so you can't really say "injury-plagued year." He will always have some injuries going on. He still managed to play 138 games this year, only 6 more then the previous year. Ok, well you are using the "He is 30 and more likely to regress" reasoning for Freese. Thats fine, but what about "Conor Gillaspie had his first season in the bigs at 26, so this is probably the best he is ever going to be"? Usually players that couldnt get out of the minors until that age end up being nothing more than AAAA players. Freese has demonstrated that he can produce at the big league level
  8. I wonder what the people at Applebees think of this move
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) So for fun, would you trade Anthony Davis for the first pick in the 2014 draft? Are we talking in terms of being the Pelicans? Or just being a GM of XXXX team that has Davis on the roster?
  10. I just want to state that I am not really all for bringing in Freese, but I do feel like (if healthy) he is way better than Conor.

    Fictional Affair

wites fictional affair is with a squirrel
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 02:30 PM) Freese 30 years old 9 HR 60 RBI .262 AVG .340 OBP 462 ABs Right Handed Gillaspie- 26 years old 13 HR 40 RBI .245 AVG .305 OBP 452 PA Left Handed And it was Gillaspie's first full year and with a horrible cast around him that never got on base. Freese was on a team that made the World Series and had a bunch of guys in front of him that got on base. I will take Gillaspie every day Well what about the year before when he did this? 20 HR 79 RBI .297 AVG .372 OBP 567 ABs you know, when he was relatively healthy. Last year was his worst year in the majors, and he missed 24 games due to injuries, and still was just as good as Conor
  13. turf toe is a b****. It never really goes away, it just flares up and fades periodically
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 09:10 AM) For all the jokes about him breaking down because he is fat, he deserves major credit for playing every day. 2006 - 157 GP 2007 - 158 GP 2008 - 159 GP 2009 - 162 GP 2010 - 161 GP 2011 - 162 GP 2012 - 162 GP 2013 - 162 GP I dont think he will break down per se. I have just read the stories that Rangers players just tire out by mid august, they dont have the pop/speed/strength that they did when the season started. Not that it doesnt happen to other players on other teams, just that it is more drastic in Texas because they are playing in 100 degree weather constantly
  15. the blind eye was already turned. At this point everyone else is looking at it, so now FSU has to acknowledge it
  16. It will be interesting to see how Fielder does when the oppressive summer heat sets in. That heat has pushed down many good hitters
  17. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) Infante had a really good year offensively, and is generally pretty solid. Was he so bad on defense that they wanted to get kinsler and not pay him as a FA? Infante only played in 118 games this season, and he isn't getting any younger. I think they would rather have him as a super utility player as opposed to full time starter
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) Isn't that standard for every Olympic host? Brazil just told them "get out" and brought out the bulldozers
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 03:30 PM) I can't believe I'm going to defend a player from FSU of all places, but I think that rule is crap. It is very easy for a woman to make up a sexual assault claim. That's why we have a justice system, to sort out what is and isn't true. And yes, sometimes the guy is guilty and gets off, but the worst thing you can have happen is have a made up claim ruin a player and his team. Imagine the Duke lacrosse deal, but in a sport that more than five people care about. Now, I'm not saying that if there's overwhelming evidence, that you have to let the guy keep competing until it gets all they way through to the end of the trial, but this kind of policy where you're automatically booted based on charges is dangerous. It can also lead to local law enforcement being very hesitant to press charges when they should be. I think the Bobby Bowden tenure got that rule put in place. Towards the end, that place was a madhouse
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Unless he somehow gets charged and kicked off the team and then they lose I dont think it changes anything. B+B just mentioned that FSU has a rule that if you get charged with a crime(not even convicted), you are booted from the team. Things could get crazy

  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 08:18 AM) What about Jim Thome? What about him? Thome hit homeruns and struck out. He averaged 140 strikeouts a season for the Sox,
