can anyone tell me what their era is as of right now? methinks it could be higher than that of our sox.

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:46 AM) No we all did not....I remember aboz saying Frank should be traded because he sucks, is a cancer blah blah blah i also remember getting my head bit off for saying paul konerko should make the all-star team. god i rule lol
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 04:38 PM) maybe you need to check the box scores, lol. huh?

i didn't get a chance to see any of the game last night. (i was forced to attend pirates-yankees). but i just noticed marte's line. what happened? any chance he took a bullet from a sniper on the way to the dugout?

How good is Garland? (not just this year)
jerseysox replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) I'd bet ya on that. i'm not going to wager against someone i'm going to be rooting for every fifth day. i've already got a "konerko makes the all-star team" bet i need to cash in first. -

if i had to bet, i'd say garland's era will be closer to 4.50 than it will be to 3.50 by year's end. -
Favorite Athlete Nicknames
jerseysox replied to Milkman delivers's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
i always liked Todd "I'd Pay 10 grand for France, but I'm really not sure what" Hollandsworth. and to the torii hunter is a little b**** guy, you really might want to consider spelling his name right in your sig at some point. -
Frank Thomas will miss at least one game with a left leg injury sustained tonight. ''Hopefully, it's a cramp and he'll be ready in the next couple days,'' manager Ozzie Guillen said after the game. Carl Everett will DH on Tuesday.
-
you know what else sucks about tonight? in all likelihood, we are going to be the only AL team to lose a game.
-
QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Hawk mentioned that it seemed that Frank reaggrevated his hip flexor while running out of the batter's box. dr. hawk always has the answers. perhaps frank needs to STRETCH, STRETCH.....

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) he supposed to be able to pitch tonight damn it

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) Can't I be Mr. Coffee Bean instead.. I don't like tea... lol mr. bean it is!

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:33 PM) This is supposed to be a light hearted poll. Yes I know that all of this guys won't suck forever. I fully expect them to turn it around (hopefully). But while their going through their current struggles who deserves this nickname more... i vote you mr. teabag for starting this poll with hermanson in it.

Mark Buehrle; Is there another pitcher so screwed
jerseysox replied to Frankensteiner's topic in Pale Hose Talk
buehrle isn't even the most screwed guy on this staff. have you looked at jose contreras' numbers? -
whose the most hated sox pitcher?
jerseysox replied to robin_ventura_eternal's topic in Pale Hose Talk
in terms of recent, i rank them: 1. esteban loazia -- all he had to do last year was NOT SUCK and the sox could have made the playoffs. "oh, look at me, i won 20 games, but i couldn't beat the twins if they were tied down and i had a baseball bat." f him 2. todd ritchie -- his numbers say it all. 3. damaso marte -- i know you all think i'm crazy, but this guy flat out sucks in tight games. i wish i knew someone at elias to back me up. -
QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) Jersery your freakin avatar cracks me up thanks man, i'm here to amuse. and, you're awesome!
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) Its another good example of Ozzie looking at the big picture. It is better to have Damaso miss a game or two in June, vs having Damaso go out and seriously hurting himself and missing a longer stint. it's also another example of damaso doing things to piss me off.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/rpi if you look, the white sox SOS is three-thousandths of a point lower than that of the Twins'. yeah, the schedule is really easier for us.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) it seems like everyone with under 100 posts now-a-days is an idiot it looks like everyone with more than 1,000 posts thinks they know it all and take everything literally.

you guys are all right. uribe is better than miles, therefore, kenny williams rules. best gm ever.

QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) He's been doing very well much longer than that, jersey... Uribe? Marte? Politte? Gordon? Cotts? On top of that, most of the minor league talent he has traded hasn't done anything, meaning he is "trading the right guys"... Besides, even in that Ritchie deal, he only gave up players that the Sox didn't want/need. Kip Wells still s***s himself in pressure situations and Fogg and Lowe? What have they done that would have warranted a roster spot on the Sox the last few years? Uribe? Yeah, no way Aaron Miles could match his monster stats. And if you're really going to base Kenny's greatness on four middle relief guys, i'd like to buy some of that dope you are smoking. especially when you say we didn't need kip wells and josh fogg (two starters) yet we traded them for a STARTER. so exactly how didn't we need them? And if Kenny is so great, how come we haven't made the postseason in the s***ty central since the Nixon administration?
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Doh his moves of late have been tremendous (podsednik, contreras, garcia, etc.) but before this past year, he was just flat out terrible (koch, ritchie, alomar, etc.)
-
QUOTE(poorme @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) from today's sun-times STAY AWAY: Williams was asked his thoughts on this year's draft, which ended Wednesday, and he came to a realization. ''The one thing that I have had to come to terms with is, I [stink] at amateur scouting,'' Williams said. ''I am so much better at evaluating minor-league players and major-league players that it's probably best for me to just get out of the way.'' i'm sure the pittsburgh pirates, kip wells, josh fogg, and todd ritchie have something to say about that.
