I think Podsednik was taking way too many pitches especially the offspeed stuff and lately he's been thrown out a bunch.

Major Props to The Duke, The Count, and Big Fred

14 runs in the last 5 games and we win 4. Thats what I call living on the pitching and defense. I think our offense is running low on life support but with Everett back its gotten reinforced. -
I like how Jenks has so much confiedence in his stuff that he always throws strikes. I think he will rack up a couple saves before season's end and Hermy will be given some time off to heal his back.

Jenks to get into the mix at the end

This kid is something special. What a great pickup for Kenny! -
Yeah I think Ozzie should stop using the matchups and should use the pitchers in their defined roles. Politte/Cotts in the eighth and Hermanson in the ninth. I think Ozzie used the bullpen yesterday the way he did cause Hermy was a little sore from his back and Levine said Ozzie didnt want to use Hermanson that much.

Yeah, Hawk says "Where's that pitch?" alot more lately but granted one of those games was when Wendlstedt was umping the k-zone. Im suprised Hawk didnt cuss Wendlsetedt out when he blew the call at first on Monday. I thought he was really going to get it from Ozzie.

QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Borchard might be a good option... If we bring him up he has to stay up cause he's got no more options.

Jose was practically unhittable. Just shows how dominant he can be when he is ON. Good to see Everett swing the bat today. -
QUOTE(mwolfson @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) I WAS AT THE GAME IN THE FIRST ROW BEHIND THE WHITE SOX DUGGOUT AND SAW THE THING HAPPEN AND THEN HEARD OZZIE SAY "CRAZY GUY, CRAZY" (WHILE STARRING AT THE GUY ON THE NET)... IT WAS PRETTY STRANGE! P.S. Paulie threw me a ball and I was the kid wearing the Black Sox shirt and Sox hat... Some friends saw me THAT IS SO COOL. I envy you.

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:31 AM) I can see KW buying out the deal for 3 million, and then possibly offering him another deal for about 2-3 million for 2006 so he can finish his carrer w/ the Sox. KW needs to figure out what to do w/ that DH spot next season- and he needs to approach it as if he knows Frank would be hurt (like he did this season) that is why they still have Crazy Carl. Well if Carl goes- we would have a big hole at DH and KW still has an obsession for Griffey. I can see the Sox trading for him this offseason to fill our DH hole. And when Frank comes back in 2006 (if they re-sign him) then they can split time, plus Griffey can play some CF to give Rowand some days off. So you heard it here- Griffey-Sox-2006. That's what I thought. If it is uncertain whether he will ever play again I think it will be the right move but it is truly sad what has happened to Frank. Id love to see him end his career here but that may be fading.

I agree with you that something must be done. BW? I think we give Everett a couple of days to become 100% or else we DL him and do something. -

We cant keep putting Timo as DH. If Everett is out on the DL then I think Gload would be good at first and Konerko at DH so he can get some rest. If not Id like to see Ozuna at DH today. He hasnt seen any action in a couple of days. -

If Everett is back, I hope his return lights a fire under the ass of our offense. I think in the last 6 games we have scored 20 runs and Konerko has scored 9 of them. We need some help from the rest of the lineup especially Pods because he is the firecracker of our offense and Im pulling Podsednik the break out of his slump. -
QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Entourage .. good show. Too bad I dont got HBO or Id check it out. They put so much hype into it they got me interested a little.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Did anyone here Bruce Levine tonight? Apparently he mentioned something about Mike Remlinger being signed by the Red Sox. Can anyone confirm that? He said the deal will the finalized today after the league approves. -
QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Yes he is. When I listen to Chicago Baseabll Tonite at 11:00 after the Sox post, he makes the stupidest comments and goes from talking about baseball to HBO shows. Thats ok if the name of your show is NOT Chicago Baseball Tonite. Its better when Brian Dolgin does the show by himself. Bruce Levine is a moron. I went too far. Actually I think he does a fine job reporting but MAN sometimes I think he gets a little caried away with Entourage.

I wasnt around when he was on the Sox but that replay of him and Oz was awesome. The one where Fisk tagged two out at the plate. Good times.

I think this is El Duque's kind of game. There'll be alot of noise over there which doesnt bother him, actually I think it makes him better, and I think he knows his former mates pretty good. -
Im just putting something that I pulled from a website. I just wanted to get my point around about your comment thats all. That I base everything on guesswork.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) Or why didn't they sign Beltran? Kalapse made great, valid points. This guy is all conjecture. No, actually its opinion I realize now I made a mistake but Id appreciate it if you didnt say im all guess. I think I make some valid points in this board. Kalapse did make some good points though. Appreciate it. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) If money wasn't an issue why did they aquire Shawn Chacon, Al Leiter, and Buddy Groom at the trading deadline instead of guys like Jason Schmidt, AJ Burnett, and Billy Wagner? If the Yankees had payroll left, they wouldn't have been scavenging the waiver wires for pitchers, they would have been going out and getting them, not to mention picking up a CF to replace Williams. Thanks for clearing it up. I appreciate it.
