Holy crap, did anyone see ESPN News?
Harris never really had the starting job.

Illinois football coach
I'm sorry, but if Ron Zook can't win games with the talent he had in Florida, there's no way he's going to create a successful program at Illinois.

More Wright News
Offman reported this morning on Boers and Bernstein that Wright was K-Dub's primary target and they were prepared to give him around 20 mil for 3 years, followed by Perez, Clement, El Duke, and Russ Ortiz.

Jaret Wright?
If Wright gets hurt, it still leaves us without a fifth starter. Granted, any pitcher can get hurt, but one who has a history of getting hurt is more likely to.

Ex-White Sox Alert
Sorry... you're right, WSI really isn't nearly as bad as alot of people make it out to be. And especially not as bad as Anthrax

Ex-White Sox Alert
You might get suspended for making a personal comment about somebody, because no one on this board is on your side. You've made alot of enemies in your short time here. And lyes is spelled LIES. Please, go to WSI where you belong.

Ex-White Sox Alert
Actually, he could help you out since you seem to have such a hard time with the spelling and the grammar
-
Jaret Wright?
Maybe one should go out and get hit by a bus

Ex-White Sox Alert
3rd grade lingo? My nephew is in 3rd grade, and he has better spelling and grammar than you.

The PLan
he'd be doing all of us a favor

Ex-White Sox Alert
Step one in his master plan is to go back in time and sign Colon and Vladdy

Ex-White Sox Alert
So you're saying that KW should have signed a career .237 hitter?
-
Jaret Wright?
55% groundballs, 45% flyballs. Not really a groundball or a flyball pitcher, similar to Freddy Garcia in how he gets people out, with less Ks. Edit: sorry for posting the same thing after you guys!

For Anyone Who Though We Could Sign Benitez...
Two more ideas: Jeff Zimmerman - Hasn’t pitched since 2001, but put up good numbers when he was healthy. He might get a major league deal from someone, but probably not. A solid minor league FA pickup. Esteban Yan – Has the tools to be a closer, high heat, with a nasty slider and splitter. Plagued by inconsistency, and lacks the mental makeup to be a closer. However, he made under $1 mil last year, and would be a relatively cheap and effective pickup for middle relief.

Jaret Wright?
Maybe he's already learned what he needs to learn from Mazzone. He has the stuff to be dominant, maybe he can keep his head together and continue to be a stud. I know many of you doubt him, but I believe he would be a solid pickup. I'd rather have Clement or O.Perez though.

For Anyone Who Though We Could Sign Benitez...
Nelson made less than $2 mil last year, and with his numbers declining, I'm sure he'd be willing to take a paycut. It might be a risk, but at the very least it increases the bullpen depth by one: Takatsu Marte Nelson Politte Cotts Adkins/Diaz or Takatsu Marte Politte Cotts Diaz Adkins I also think he brings a certain amount of intensity and leadership to a team that needs more of both. Another option I would like to see, which I know many of you will jeer me for, is trading for Kyle Farnsworth. The Flubs don't want him anymore, and I truly believe that if he gets away from Wrigley, he will be a stud. He's got the stuff, all he needs is someone to harness his energy.

The PLan
Didn't he suggest the trade: Cotts, Diaz, and Anderson for Casey Fossum. Better GM than KW indeed

A "Beltran" like CFer for Garland?
I believe that if Bradley were to come to the Sox, he would have some positive black leadership (Thomas, Everett, Baines) to watch over him and keep him stable. Maybe it would work, maybe it wouldn't, but if the deal is right, I think he's worth taking a chance on.

The PLan
Someone on this board said this, I can't recall who, "If it weren't for hindsight, some people would have nothing to say." What's the point in starting a post about what moves you would have made last year.

For Anyone Who Though We Could Sign Benitez...
Jeff Nelson anybody?

FA Pitching
Perez is a groundball pitcher, 63% lifetime, I don't think his numbers would inflate that much in the Cell.

FA Pitching
Seriously, if you've really been a fan that long, you must be in your twenties or thirties. How did you get by that long without ever having a girlfriend, or any friends for that matter? I don't see how any human being could deal with you on a personal level, you're not just stubborn and totally unwilling to listen to the opposing argument, you're not very bright either. Sorry about the personal attack everyone, Its just so frustrating...

FA Pitching
I'm praying for one of those two to happen

FA Pitching
Everyone keeps telling me that Garcia is a flyball pitcher, but he's never thrown more flyballs than groundballs in his career. I find that interesting. I'm not saying that he's a groundball pitcher, but I think people have the wrong idea about him. He gets hitters out, and that's all that matters.
