  1. Boers and Bernstein were talking about that on the Score this morning. It'd be nice, the Cell would be packed every night because we'd have a team that put all their effort into it and played real baseball. Not to mention you'd have a team with the Cubs number.
  2. I think Millar was being Facetious about copying Olivo.
  3. Good point, there's still two months of baseball to be played, and alot can happen between now and then. Never say die
  4. Preston Wilson would rock the Cell... But Houston's falling out of the Central and NL Wild Card race, who's to say they won't be shopping him soon. Who's with me in trading for Beltran? I'd say everyone.
  5. Radke's a FA after this year too

    Loaiza

If the Sox can retain E-Lo at a decent price, then it can't hurt to get him back for next year. But if they let him go it opens up a greater possibility for the Sox to go after Pavano or Radke in the offseason, and I'd take either of them over Esteban.

    Loaiza

Why is it that Loaiza seems afraid to throw inside to batters with runners on. It seemed like last year he was so successful by moving the ball to both sides of the plate. This year it seems like he's getting rocked because he keeps trying to go away, away, away, and hitters are going with it. Has he lost confidence is himself or what?
  8. This trade probably won't set in until Garcia lights it up and helps get us to the postseason, and then signs a few year deal.
  9. Without Reed there's still Ryan Sweeney and Brian Anderson to look forward too. But without Olive there's no up-and-coming catcher in the Sox system. Same for Morse, whom I feel was the best shortstop in the minors for the Sox. Burke and Alomar will get the job done behind the plate this year, and Freddy Garcia will anchor their rotation and possibly provide more stability for MB and Esteban. It's upsetting to see such quality young players leave, but on the other hand the Sox greatest need is being filled.
  10. I happen to think that the southsider sub is fantastic, and for 2.99 you can't go wrong.
  11. Did anyone else notice that he was placed on the Barons' DL? How long will he be on there for? Should Sox fans be worried that two of their best pitching prospects are hurt? Just thought I'd add that Arnie Munoz is thriving in his transition to Starting Pitcher.
  12. I wonder what made it spicy... maybe some 'special' sour cream. I know that's what I'd want Sosa to eat.
  13. C.Lee didn't make a mistake, the bag was blocked. As a fielder, until you have possession of the ball you aren't allowed to block the bag. It was a bad call by the ump, not Carlos's mistake.
  14. Didn't Otis report about the Nomar-Maggs trade before anyone knew about it?
  15. It says in the Trib that KW will be going after another veteran reliever to fill the void left by Gordon and Sullivan, any ideas?
  16. If Scho starts, he'll be giving up plenty more than 30 homeruns this season
  17. Damian Moss won't be coming to the Sox. But it's ok, we've got Scott Schoenweis...
  18. Collective Barganing Agreement. You can send something like 20 bucks to the MLBPA to get a copy
  19. The Sox WILL win the Central Division this year. Mark my words, and heed them well, you may not believe me now, but time will tell...
  20. I really think that was his only awful move. Most other trades looked good, and the players he got in return didn't preform. He did give up way too much for Ritchie, Wells should've been enough on his own. I personally would love to see Wells and/or Fogg in a Sox Uniform still.
