  1. I would love to see a Soxtalk version of this app one day. Would make it so much easier to use the forums from a mobile device.
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 12:41 PM) Don't fear, TCQ will be hitting 3rd by June 1st. Book it. Hopefully it won't be during a rehab stint in Charlotte.
  3. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) I've only had an iphone for a couple of months. I'm thinking of getting the MLB at bat 2011 app for $15. I understand you can watch Spring Traning games for free. Does anyone have it or had it in previous years? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the app adheres to blackout rules. No regular season Sox games if you're in Chicagoland.
  4. I'm wondering if NSS72 wrote this article for Scientific American.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 10:57 AM) If he is the Sox best hitter, Id prefer he gets the most at bats. I still think that's Paulie.
  6. It's too bad we couldn't start this season with a new manager. I love this roster.
  7. Following the oscars via twitter was an absolute blast. Doesn't hurt to follow dozens of hilarious comedians.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 11:15 AM) What do you mean...people in his admin. being corrupt...or people who are corrupt actually being caught? Because the former, I'm used to. The former.
  9. This should be par for the course with the new regime.
  10. QUOTE (NIUSox @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 06:44 PM) After today I've seen: 10/10 Best Picture 4/5 Best Actor 3/5 Best Actress 5/5 Best Supporting Actor 4/5 Best Supporting Actress 5/5 Best Director 5/5 Best Adapted Screenplay 4/5 Best Original Screenplay nominations. I think that pretty good prep for the Oscars on Sunday. Sheesh. What a slacker.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) Really wasn't too bad. Ozzie is still awesome. Did they interview Ozzie?
  12. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 01:43 PM) So opinion shows= news? Got it.. *performs search for word "news" in previous post and finds no results* :lolhitting
  13. This Sunday on the networks: Meet the Press: Govs. Walker, Barbour; Sen. McCain, Richard Trumka, Rep. Cleaver Fox News Sunday: Gov. Daniels, Mike Huckabee Face the Nation: Gov. Christie Liberal media bias!!!
  14. "If American workers are being denied their right to organize when I'm in the White House, I will put on a comfortable pair of shoes and I will walk on that picket line with you as president of the United States." -- Barack Obama, quoted by Slate, while making a campaign speech in 2007.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) For those of you that went to see Daniel Tosh at the Chicago Theater, the opening comedian, Matt Fulchiron, is going to be at the Congress on the 24th. The guy is absolutely hilarious. LINK This wound up being pretty solid, especially for free. Fulchiron was OK. The guy before him, Jay Larson, was quite funny. Even bumped into Milkman and his crew.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) This is a cool map of the vote by precinct. I'm pretty sure I'm smack dab in the middle of the orange island of Del Valle.

I know I'll be flamed for this but Community might be one of the least funny sitcoms I've ever watched. It's painfully awful. I don't watch every episode but whenever I do, like right now, I find it difficult to not change the channel. Apparently all of the funny episodes only air when I don't watch. Reminds of one year, I forget which, when Ray Durham was hitting in the .280s or higher late in the season and whenever I watched he would have an 0-fer. I'd watch 4 games a week so he must have gone 5-5 that one night each week I didn't watch.

QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 01:30 PM) Check the floor, cause I'm about to drop some names... So Donald Glover (Troy from Community) tweeted last night that he was at a Bar in LA with Danny Pudi (Abed) and it was an open bar for an hour for any of their fans to come out. It was only about a 15 minute drive from our place so my girlfriend and I decided why not. So it took us 15 minutes to get there, then an additional 15 minutes to find parking (hip part of town) We go in and Donald GLover is at the door, greeting us and thanking us for coming out to see them and get free drinks haha. Suddenly I hear someone scream "YES!" and point at my Sox jacket I happened to be wearing. It was Danny Pudi reacting to it since as I mentioned he's a HUGE Sox fan. Chatted with him about the Sox for a while and he's a real fan, super knowledgable, talking about the health of Peavy being a key to the season and his hatred of the Twins haha Both guys were super nice, personable dudes. And I got a few free Newcastles so I can't complain...
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) I literally thought life was over for me after one in college, turns out she couldn't hold a candle to my current woman in basically every way possible. Love finds you when you are least looking for it. I completely agree.

  21. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 11:30 AM) Just had my dog put down. Had her since 7th grade. She just had her 17th birthday. Ugh. So sorry to hear that.

Outstanding episode of Justified last night.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) edit: also, for teeth, gorillas are vegetarians, yet they have much larger canines than us. Seems to be a clear contradiction. Did you just skim the article?
