The main detective sort of had one but he's actually from Australia so it might take him time to fine tune the accent.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 12:25 PM) Those are different shoulder muscles and incomparable. We don't have a comparable for this one. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 12:25 PM) This is unlike any other injury we've seen from a pitcher before, no one has ANY idea what he's going to look like when he gets back. There's no precedent for this injury. Guess your sarcasm detectors need fine tuning.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Why not? Based on the numerous other pitchers that have had their shoulder muscles detach from the bone. All of them had lost some velocity.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) He couldn't manage a huge audience on a bigger network, dunno why it'll be any different at a smaller network. His ratings were not that far off from his direct competition in his time slot.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) That's true. Can they swear in Spanish?? Hmm not sure. Also, this is the first hour long Fox drama that I've watched. Crazy how many commercial breaks there are. Seems like the F/X dramas have a lot less breaks.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) I think they tried to cover up the lack of swearing by having the main character frown upon it. I guess it's not that unrealistic...there are people that don't like cursing for one reason or another....f***in idiots if you ask me though. Yeah but a whole series where gang bangers use words like "jerk" and "idiot". Come on.

Snowmageddon 2011
LOL. I did something similar to my parents' neighbor once. They had cleared the area in front of their garage one night after a large snowfall and dumped everything in front of my parents' garage. I showed up at 2am and moved everything back in front of their garage.

Chicago Code was pretty good for a network show. It's just hard for me to get into network dramas. They seem much less realistic with the lack of swearing and toned down violence. This is definitely no Shield but I'll give it a shot for the time being.

Thinking about getting a puppy (or two)
QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 07:29 AM) Mine has to be gated into the kitchen or he makes messes and gets into trouble. We have to gate this one in the kitchen. This one gets to roam freely though since he won't do any damage.

Thinking about getting a puppy (or two)
QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 07:55 PM) By the way, don't feel too worried about leaving them alone. Eventually they get used to it and crave it. Last week we had a snow day. The dog was not pleased to see that we were around to interupt his day long nap. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 09:33 PM) Hah! Leaving a dog alone for too long is my worst fear, but you're right. It's not as if it is going to spontaneously combust or something if it has to entertain itself for a while. Still doing a lot of research. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! We leave our 2 dogs at home all day while we're at work and all they do is nap until we get back.

Super Bowl XLV Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Really, probably a few but this wasn't a high scoring game, high powered game, average number of turnovers, average numbers of yards on both sides, no one really stood out as having dominated the game, people just made plays when they had to. I don't know if there were any based on the reasons you cited. I can't find an article that lists a single record that was broken.
