  1. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 04:35 PM) Speaking of music, what's going on in your avatar? Best concert I ever went to.

  3. QUOTE (thedoctor @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) more hated here: oney or cowley? Oney
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 02:59 PM) I think you're being serious. lol. You mean as a occasional DH or starter at 1B, right? He's not a bad player if used correctly. Just like Mackowiak and Wise weren't bad players if used properly. false QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 03:02 PM) He actually meant that Dunn would use Kotsay as his bat. He would pick Kotsay up and swing Kotsay at the ball. yup
  5. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) ...whoever says that Cutler quit should do themselves a favor and shove it. Thanks for elevating the level of discourse.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) He WAS hurt. But was he HURT? That's the question. I don't recall a single person ever denying that he didn't get hurt. COULD he have played? That's the argument. And all you guys are acting like somebody raped your mothers. That's the whole crux of my argument. As an unbiased fan of the game, I saw a player that didn't look very injured, was walking around with no medical attention on the sidelines, no icing, no crutches, and seemed content with not being out on the field in the most important game of his career...one game away from the Super Bowl. I am certain other QBs in that same situation would have continued to play (i.e., Favre, Rivers, Brees). We see players play injured all of the time. You're telling me they couldn't have used a 3 step drop game plan that they used against Dallas in order to keep their best arm out on the field?
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) So using facts is cherry picking? I didn't discount the perspective of someone at the game. I used the perspective of media that were as close to the situation as possible. What's your feeling - pissed you don't think he helped when he did, or that he actually quit and wasn't injured? It's 2 different arguments. I have no horse in this so I'm not pissed at Cutler. I thought it was pretty well known here that I'm not a Bears fan.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:49 PM) There's the issue. Problem is you didn't see most of it. None of us did. You weren't down there. Instead, you are disagreeing with reported facts, and calling it a cover up, which is what you hope happened, but have no proof. You're also cherry picking facts that help your case. Why discount the perspective of someone that was actually at the game?
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Really? So everyone at the game saw everything else that was going down on the sideline? Including HEARING things? Where was Barkley, a sky box? You're right. There is no way someone at the game could notice that Cutler was not near Hanie very often.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) On the sideline reporting? Or seeing what everyone else on TV saw? How could he not see more if he's there compared to those watching TV?
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:17 PM) It's a fact, and it's not debatable. No it's not, and yes it is.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:21 PM) Ok? Just because Emmanuel is going to get "screwed" doesn't mean we should allow the Court to change the law. That's a pretty backwards way of looking at it. So keep an antiquated law in place for spite?
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:12 PM) It's not like he's riding in on his horse from some far away land with no idea what has been going on in the city of Chicago over the past several years.
  14. Kind of a slow month for Soxtalk. Other than the Bears game over the weekend there hasn't been much discussion.
  15. QUOTE (MEANS @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 12:09 PM) Pretty Please!!!! http://mlbbuzz.yardbarker.com/blog/mlbbuzz...brewers/4032194 Brewers interested in Kotsay. I thought it might be a good idea to keep Kotsay around. He'd make an excellent bat for Dunn.
  16. Supreme Court issues order keeping Emanuel on ballot for now
  17. QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) I'll never understand people following a league for the entire year, then as soon as their team is out of it, they don't care about anything in the league all of a sudden. IE: a ton of people said they "didn't care/watch" the mlb playoffs/world series this year. I can see the case with MLB or the NBA since the post season is a huge time commitment, but not for football.
  18. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) Because he did do something wrong. Conduct detrimental... Whether there was actual sexual assault of some sort is not known for sure, but him getting his name attached to two incidents puts a bad name on the Steelers, the NFL, and him. The NFL did the right thing in suspending him. He should consider himself lucky (and I'm sure he does), because if charges had been filed it could have been worse. Had he been found guilty, the Steelers would have had Leftwich or Batch all season. I just don't understand how people could try to make excuses and try to defend someone like this. He's a piece of trash.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) No one has ever said they would - outside the secure area, which is where this happened. Just trying to prove the point that body scanners aren't worth the huge investment in money, the invasion of privacy, and the extra time needed at the airports because of longer lines.
  20. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 07:45 PM) If...and I would agree. But, if no charges were brought, we don't know the whole story. So why was he suspended?
  21. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 11:03 AM) Nobody even remembers your name. You just used it in your previous post, dummy.
  22. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 10:15 AM) Well I can honestly say this Cutler fiasco has certainly made me less of a Bears fan and probably less of a sports fan overall. It was simply disgusting how people reacted to it and just put into perspective how way too seriously people take sports, likely because they are lacking things in their lives... truly and utterly classless. Guess you're lucky you don't live in Philly.
  23. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 09:48 AM) Oh, and not only am I more original than you, but I know Del Toro because we play in a softball league together...and he told me he's not original, and furthermore, you aren't either. I'm actually roommates with Chris Nolan and he told me he hasn't had an original idea since 4th grade....plus he loathes you.
