  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) Who else in that lineup would fit at hitting 2nd? You could put Rios there and Teahen 3rd, but then you've got Konerko protected by a guy hitting If you require Pierre to lead off like Ozzie thinks, then how about: Pierre Teahen Rios Pk
  2. There's nothing better to remedy an offensive slump than a little Omar Vizquel near the top of the lineup.
  3. You mean he's not fast enough to hit a bunt double?
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:40 PM) Oh come on now, you are including Peavy in there. I didn't notice that at first.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:28 PM) WOW, Portland is 14% cheaper, and housing is 24% cheaper. I'd assume salaries aren't as high as Chicago's.
  6. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:27 PM) Florida's primary revenue generator is tourism. Makes sense. Ah yes.
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) noooo stay away from them!!! Never heard of them to be honest.
  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) One of the reasons i live the idea of moving to Florida... no income tax Doesn't all that stuff even out at the end somehow? They just raise a different tax.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) No sales tax in Oregon?? What are their primary revenue generators? Higher income/property tax?
  10. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:19 PM) Yeesh, career vs Harden Looks like another frustrating night of White Sox baseball.
  11. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:20 PM) Mittelos Bioscience? Dont drink the orange juice. heh Thanks for the moving tips.
  12. And I did a comparison on cost of living between Chicago and Portland. Your money goes further there and no sales tax.
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) I know you are referring to the color, but I seem to remember seeing a few weeks ago that Portland is also a very pro-ecofriendly ("green") city as well. Maybe not the city itself, but the residents. One of the more progressive cities in the country. Extremely bike-friendly, large vegetarian/vegan population, etc. They're currently implementing the infrastructure for electric car charging. They have a race with San Francisco to be the 1st electric car friendly city in the country. So yeah, it's got my name written all over it.
  14. QUOTE (hogan873 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 01:38 PM) Well, if the Sox were to impose some weight restrictions on Fielder and he were limited in his meals, he may just devour Pierre as a seventh inning stretch snack. Problem solved. With his noodle arm he might taste like fettuccine.
  15. Pat Bertroche, Republican congressional candidate from Iowa.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 01:13 PM) You don't trade for Fielder so that he can play effective 1b defense. He's as ideal of a DH as there is in baseball. Do we leave Jones in the OF with Q and Rios and make Pierre a bench player? Sign me up.
  17. Where would he play?! Seriously. What happens to Paulie? Do we shop him elsewhere in a 3 way deal? Or would he part of the deal and MIL can just let him go after this year?
  18. A new survey of Arizona by Public Policy Polling finds that Sen. John McCain's approval rating has plummeted in his home state.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) The original and core message of the movement has been subverted. Some timely commentary from Andrew Sullivan...
  20. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) Yeah Herm can fix him but we always allude to Coop fixing everything so why not tubby?? I was alluding to the fact that both of them weigh about 430 lbs.
  21. QUOTE (Soxy @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) Husband of a high school friend (devout Tea Partier and rabid Obama/democrat hater) just posted this on facebook: Who knew Arzona was the common since state. Sadly, this was one of his better spelled posts. They probably hired him to make some signs for the protests.
  22. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 12:34 PM) Coop will fix him. Don't you mean Herm Schneider?
  23. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 11:25 AM) The Kennedy Family? Nicely done. Although I am giving you a 15 yard penalty for using your allotment of LOL emoticons for the year.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 11:10 AM) It is always convenient to forget how absolutely abysmal at the plate Uribe was at the end of his career with the Sox. I am glad he has resurrected his career and is useful for San Fran now, but he was all but a guaranteed out in his last year with the Sox, it was dreadful watching him swing at facehigh fastballs all the time. aka the Greg Walker effect
  25. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) disagree, there is validity to a rumor like this. KW is actively shopping for a bat to energize this s*** offense. Too bad he didn't do that in the off season.
