QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 02:06 PM) I just got Netflix yesterday. Anyone have any suggestions for movies? Also, I have a question. When you send back a DVD, do you have to wait until they physically receive it back for another one to be sent to you? I'm not sure if there's a feature online where you can just say it was sent back and they'll send the next one (I seriously doubt this). They have to receive the movie before they send another one. I think there's an option to have 2 or more movies at once. That obviously costs more.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) If the bonuses are under scrutiny, why aren't the donations? Great question

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Mar 29, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) I was just going to post that. I rented that this week and it was nothing like the TV show and it was cliche filled undercover cop story. One of the few Mann movies I refuse to watch.
  7. Needless to say he didn't have to give an answer my grandfather would have given.
  8. pretty good commentary: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/norm-stamper...t_b_180378.html
  9. Pretty disappointed in Obama's McCain-like answer to the marijuana legalization question earlier this week. His dismissive answer to the #1 question being asked on whitehouse.gov shows that he isn't the progressive leader on this topic that I thought he'd be. And that he had to laugh off the people who asked this shows he is out of touch with many Americans. Hey knucklehead, it was the #1 asked question online...by thousands of Americans.

  12. What kind of time commitment are we looking at for this league? Daily games? Weekly?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 07:52 PM) The book is a bit creepy, in a weird way. So depending on treatment, the movie could indeed be terrifying for kids. I hope that isn't the case - I saw a lot of people bring kids to Pan's Labrynth, thinking it was a children's story. Yow. *shakes head*

I'd consider her very healthy all the way around. In a good way. Although she's a few Krispy Kreme's away from losing my interest.

I grabbed the p90x torrent a year ago and never really gave it a shot. I find it difficult to motivate myself at home.
  21. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) Not sure where else to put this... The Border Patrol sees an issue with the dense vegetation alone some stretches of the Rio Grande that are being used as hiding places for bandits. So, they want to get rid of the vegetation in some places. Now, that idea has some problems in and of itself - it will have an effect on erosion and waterflow of the river. But, national security probably should take precedence. Here is where it gets just plain stupid. Their plan is to poison the vegetation along a pilot mile stretch. Poison? Seriously? Its a riverbank, morons, you want to poison the river? These areas are high desert or chapparal, which burn over naturally every so often anyway... why not do that? Why introduce a toxin which will have unknown negative effects, instead of using the mechanism that nature does? Ugh. Sometimes I wonder why humans are considered an intelligent species.

The wife and I are going to Seattle over memorial day weekend. Looking for some suggestions on things to do and see. We already planned to spend one day hiking at Mt Rainier. Trying not to spend a ridiculous amount of money while there.
