  1. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 11:58 AM) I think the main thing that bugs me here is the fact that she is 9! Lets look beyond the rape and the health of the mother and go right to the age. Does the Catholic Church really believe that a 9 year old is ready to handle this? Even if she ends up giving the children up for adoption, the mental toll of pregnancy and childbirth would be devastating to a 9 year old. What if she gets post-partum depression? This would ruin her for life (if it hasn't already). The Catholic Church is wrong here. I do understand why they did it (see: Texsox post), but I absolutely and completely disagree with them. I don't and never will.
  2. Wow. Beck might be the biggest douche bag in the country.

  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) Eh, if someone wants to cheer against a player -- for whatever reason -- in spring training I'm not going to tell them not to or look down on them for doing so. Yeah but we both know these critics will continue doing so after opening day.
  5. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) In spring training, when bad baseball players are awarded starting jobs if they put up decent but meaningless numbers? Sure, why not? Well it looks like we're stuck with a s***ty CF unless KW pulls the trigger on a trade. Why hate just for spite? Might as well hope he does well.
  6. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) figures Yeah if only he could suck more. I want to see our players fail.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 02:06 PM) I just got Netflix yesterday. Anyone have any suggestions for movies? Also, I have a question. When you send back a DVD, do you have to wait until they physically receive it back for another one to be sent to you? I'm not sure if there's a feature online where you can just say it was sent back and they'll send the next one (I seriously doubt this). They have to receive the movie before they send another one. I think there's an option to have 2 or more movies at once. That obviously costs more.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) If the bonuses are under scrutiny, why aren't the donations? Great question

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Mar 29, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) I was just going to post that. I rented that this week and it was nothing like the TV show and it was cliche filled undercover cop story. One of the few Mann movies I refuse to watch.
  12. Needless to say he didn't have to give an answer my grandfather would have given.
  13. pretty good commentary: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/norm-stamper...t_b_180378.html
  14. Pretty disappointed in Obama's McCain-like answer to the marijuana legalization question earlier this week. His dismissive answer to the #1 question being asked on whitehouse.gov shows that he isn't the progressive leader on this topic that I thought he'd be. And that he had to laugh off the people who asked this shows he is out of touch with many Americans. Hey knucklehead, it was the #1 asked question online...by thousands of Americans.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 07:52 PM) The book is a bit creepy, in a weird way. So depending on treatment, the movie could indeed be terrifying for kids. I hope that isn't the case - I saw a lot of people bring kids to Pan's Labrynth, thinking it was a children's story. Yow. *shakes head*

  20. I'd consider her very healthy all the way around. In a good way. Although she's a few Krispy Kreme's away from losing my interest.
  21. Grabbing the new Doom album today.
  22. I grabbed the p90x torrent a year ago and never really gave it a shot. I find it difficult to motivate myself at home.
