  1. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 04:20 PM) Says not a registered ID when I send the friend request. ditto
  2. I'm all for population control. Have no issues with the quoted article.
  3. I downloaded Pixeljunk Eden over the weekend so that I could play something with my wife. What a fun and addictive little game.
  4. I mean not that there's anything wrong with that.
  5. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 02:40 PM) The Halftime show hasn't been there for me period since the NFL got scared and decided to start have acts over the age of 40 & male. I typically switch over to something else during halftime.
  6. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) penis > nipple Are you saying you prefer penis over nipples?
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) Daschle, like Geithner, shouldn't pass confirmation. Neither deserve the posts they were nominated to. Unfortunately, both will make it in. Not only is this a mistake from a right/wrong perspective IMO, but it is yet another bit of political damage that Obama has elected to take on, when he easily could have found other qualified candidates who don't have this baggage. He is throwing away small bits of his political capital in supporting these guys, and I can see no logical reason to do so. Daschle may have helped with the campaign, but he certainly wasn't a difference-maker in it. Geithner bought Obama nothing. So WTF? ^^^^
  8. Happened moments ago... I hate when a coworker stops by your desk and solicits charity raffle tickets or other crap I have no interest in. In this case the guy offers raffle tickets that are $20 each and of course a different guy that was already at my desk immediately pulls out a $20 so now I feel forced to buy a ticket as well. Post something on the bulletin board if you want to sell crap at work. I loved that my previous employer banned people from soliciting anything in the office.
  9. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) If you get TLG Great Fun on your credit card account, dont say I didnt warn you I don't even use them. Posted the link for others to use.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 10:59 AM) I have a cat that I had since she was a kitten and I didn't stop her from playing rough then. Now she always wants to play, but she can't do it without digging her claws into my hand and biting hard. It's really annoying and I can't stop her now. See my post above.
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 10:44 AM) I figured he was smoking since I heard he liked to warm up to Lil Wayne... WTF?
  12. QUOTE (Soxy @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 10:24 AM) Yelp like you are in pain every time it bites. Stopped my puppy from biting in less than an hour. I actually went to the hospital and received treatment. I then printed out the medical bill and had my lawyer send it to my dog. She quickly learned her lesson.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 10:43 AM) However, it still warranted review. Indeed. How many times have we all seen plays that had no business being reviewed in the booth? Seems like it happens in almost every NFL game and for them not to do that under these circumstances is astonishing.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 10:41 AM) If Warner had actually controlled the ball until it came completely free, I'd agree it was a forward pass. To me, the initial contact is what jarred the ball loose (which was before the arm started forward), but since the ball didn't jar completely free right away (it took about an extra quarter second or so), the ball went forward. Even if you watch it with red shaded glasses, it is at most inconclusive (I don't think it's that close at all), and it was called a fumble. Sure you could say all of that after seeing the replay 15 times. In the speed of the game it wasn't as obvious.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 09:13 AM) So, anyone else call in sick today? Apparently the milkman is not delivering today.

  17. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jan 25, 2009 -> 06:44 PM) I don't know where to start looking so I might as well start it here. I start an internship downtown in May and I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the duration of the internship. I'm not really set on a certain location since I'll have my car and I can take the train(burbs are fine around Downers, Lemont, and Woodridge), but I'm looking for an apartment in the area for 4 months (May-August). Does anyone know of any place (websites, phone numbers, etc.) that gives out short term leases like the one I need? Thanks everyone. My friend needs to sublet his place. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/sub/1017491497.html
  18. I'm so glad my wife does not like to participate in the hallmark holidays.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 31, 2009 -> 11:09 AM) Try Wale or Mikkey Halsted. Right now these are 2 of my favorite "rookies" in hip-hop. Although not technically brand new, Lupe can bring it at times. I'm not a huge fan of the production of some of his tracks though. He needs to stay away from the collaborations with Linkin Park and the like. That s*** brings him down a few notches but his rap flow is pretty solid.
  20. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 31, 2009 -> 12:28 PM) Cubano, if you want to see some of the media's bais against Palin, look at a bunch of the stories about her since the election, and see how many times they mention 'failed vice-presidential candidate' in reference to her. It is dwindling down now, but was pretty bad for a while. I don't recall ever seeing an article about the Goracle mentioning him as the 'failed presidential candidate'. While she may not have much of a chance in the coming years, there is something about her that scraes a large portion of the media and the rabid left, as they just can't let go of her. Now the obvious response to follow this post will be somethign to the effect of her starting a PAC and stuff, but regardless, there are those on the fringe that just can't let go. People are scared because they are frightened at the possibility that someday someone as smart as Richard Simmons might actually run this country.
  21. Congrats to new RNC Micheal Steele. Yes, the same Micheal Steele who did this when running for the US Senate in 2006.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) Excellent movie. Tomei still looks awesome. Yes and hell yes.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 22, 2009 -> 02:20 PM) All of them will be. But since Tesla is further along the manufacturing curve, their light at the end of the tunnel is closer. And I have a feeling that all these sorts of companies will get some help from the government, in the form of targeted tax breaks to them and to buyers, etc. But some will fail anyway. Also, this is why Tesla was smarter, starting with the pricier models first. That market is less effected by a bad economy than the more price-sensitive buyers. LINK
  24. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) When was the last time the Federal Budget had a surplus FWIW? Once the Financials become the leader again
