50 FAVORITE WHITE SOX PLAYERS
I'll never forget that double tag out at home. I remember having a sinking feeling in my stomach when whoever that was hit the ball to right field. And before you know it we saw a very unusual double play. What an awesome play.

Anyone else doing IDP? It's our first year doing it. We start 1 defensive lineman, 1 linebacker and one defensive back. I think I like it better than Team D/ST.

Anyone else think Micheal Bush might be a sleeper later into the season with Fargas' perennial injury bug and now McFadden's weekly bangs and bruises?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) She actually said all of the people on the major Presidential tickets couldn't run HP in the full story. Still a stupid thing to say as a surrogate. It's not like she ran HP very well.

I don't care what the box score read, that was a walk off grand slam in the World Series.

Rotation rest of the way
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 01:20 AM) NY is 21-22 against LH starters this year. I'd bet most of those 21 wins were against crappy left handers like Richard.

9/16: White Sox vs Yankees, 6:05PM
QUOTE (chiguy79 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:48 PM) Since he tries to bunt every at bat it is ridiculous that he couldn't even get a sacrifice down today. He did get the squeeze down last week but seriously what player in baseball tries to bunt every at bat...it is a joke...might as well hire a midget again to try to get walks. We prefer to be called little people.

LINK I don't know what's scarier. McCain's so-called solution or the fact that the audience ate it up.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) McCain supporter and former CEO of Hewlett Packard on the radio in St. Louis this morning. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/090..._to_run_HP.html So, second most powerful job in the world? No problem! HP? Maybe not so much.... After that interview she had another one where she said McCain couldn't run HP either.

How Are You Supporting Your Candidate?
QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:47 AM) I'm doing the most American thing I can do. Voting. Yeah but will you be wearing a flag pin when you go vote?

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) They looked a lot better, but overall I still don't think there is hope. McFadden is a stud and the fact Fargas got hurt means more of run DMC on the field which is good. However, Kansas City is the worst team in the league (they won't win more than 2 or 3 games), so don't read too much into yesterday. Lane Kiffin could be canned at any moment as well. The Raiders are like the Blackhawks a couple years ago, they have no hope until their crazy owner dies. Mean, but true. I've been saying this for quite some time and will continue to do so.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 01:18 PM) did you hear what Ole Joe said in my Columbia last tuesday (I couldn't get tickets, urgh)? It was so painfully awkward, and conversely, hilarious to the detached reader. No. Got a link?

Texting and Driving
I see bus and cab drivers using cell phones and texting quite regularly as well as random drivers on the road. I wish there was some type of technology in vehicles that automatically disabled cell phones when the vehicles are moving.

2008 General Election Discussion Thread
QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) I think what he's trying to emphasize is that recessions are temporary and he's trying to say we aren't all f***ed. I realize that but the message seems like he's a bit out of touch. The average American isn't an economist.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 09:35 AM) I'm going to vomit. F*** the truth, we want to win, and America is so stupid they'll believe anything they see on tv. It's pretty sad when Karl Rove even thinks you've gone too far.
