QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 05:10 PM) Sadly Big Hurt Beer alluded me in my two visits to The Cell this summer... asked around to some employees, tried to hunt it down in the outfield but was eventually informed it's not available at the park anymore. And the one beer store I tried in the Northern suburbs hadn't even heard of it! Binny's and Jewel carry it. It tastes like piss but it packs a punch.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) Most the dudes are on steroids now and they give them an entire gym to train with DURING the show. Not sure why its "reliving HS" for some people, none of these people are in HS. But Joe was in high school once, so this show is high school apparently. And Patrick Kane's just a college kid.

QUOTE (HeGone7 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) Josh Fields hit 23 homers in his first half season in baseball. So every player who starts well is going to find Jesus and quit baseball?

QUOTE (ron883 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) Garpax has done a great job in the draft and signing players. Are you one of the fans that wants to make a big trade at all costs? I'm going to start self-mutilating. Jimmy Butler is the only reason I don't.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 11:07 PM) I can't believe people still watch that show. How is it still on the air? Because it's the best popcorn tv on the planet.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 10:56 PM) I watched part of one of those The Challenge shows tonight for some reason. I can't believe some of those people are STILL doing these shows. I remember Wes from when I was in HS watching this s***. Crazy they are still have the energy for these shows. But in the 20 minutes or so I saw, I absolutely despise that Frank guy. Picking fights w/ everyone and getting in their faces. Then, he stood in one of the rookies ways when he tried to walk by, then told the guy not to touch him. lol, what? Wes is 27. He should have the energy for the challenge given he's entering his physical prime. Anyone over 30 on that show is on HGH. Also, that show rocks.

Haven't we already entered the era of remembering Ozzie? I think we all decided on - 2005-2008 HEEYES! the rest f***.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 01:49 PM) Bostic fined $21k. That's ridiculous. That'd the dumbest s*** I've ever read.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 10:06 AM) I think he should be called AviGar. Makes me think of GarPax which makes me angry. No.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 09:32 PM) The Arkham Origins trailer is awesome http://kotaku.com/bam-pow-its-a-dramatic-n...5558?autoplay=1 My favorite games of all-time get another sequel, and this one looks absolutely glorious. I like how Bane is Bane now, and not some gigantic two-story freak that makes dinosaur roars.

Hits in 7 straight games. Triple slash with White Sox? .341 / .386 / .850 But don't trade Jake Peavy - the fans will stop coming!!!!!

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 14, 2013 -> 08:36 PM) Steve, what's on tonight? The Challenge is good. The Challenge is great.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 02:06 AM) 45 ppg was an exaggeration. 40 ppg probably is as well. Just as the silly notion that MJ playing today would average 40/45 ppg or could score 100 points. LeBron would be every bit as dominant, probably moreso, in the 80's (inferior athletes across the board and drastically inferior defense outside of the Pistons) as he is today. No, I don't think LeBron is better than MJ as of 2013. Sorry for taking so long to reply. Apparently you can call respected mods f***ing idiots (Steve to Balta) and not get suspended. But I can get 30 days for laughing at something people think I shouldn't laugh at. I laugh at beheadings, too, by the way Soxtalk mods. Does that warrant 60 days? Welcome back.

This is such a stretch. The raccoon with a gun might turn off the non-geek public. Or it'll crush because

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 10:51 AM) My goal all along has been 185. Once I hit that I'll start to normal up and go for less than 100g a day. I'm 6'1" and went from 212 to 180 a few years ago and never looked back. I'm up to like 187 but it's muscle gains. Now I just maintain (ie, drink all the time).

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 09:10 AM) Edit: Oh, and I'm down into the low 160's again, so I've trimmed 12lbs, while adding some pretty decent muscular gain. 5'6"?

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) Jeff Manto should get some credit for Garcia's hitting success. He encouraged and worked with him about going the other way. Seems to have worked. I remember seeing this kid last year towards the end of the season when he was called up by the Tigers. I wondered then if they had another Cabrera type on their hands and I was worried. Now he is a Sox player and that's a good thing The kid was hitting .381 all season in the minors but Jeff Manto gets credit for a 2 week stretch in the bigs?

.297 average since his callup. Hits in 8 of his last 9, three multi-hit games in his last 6. He's also starting to get a bit gappy and hit some doubles. Rick Hahn is a genius to get him (and more) from a division rival in a deal that sent away the oft-injured Jake Peavy. I love it and I love what Rick Hahn has shown already. More genius, please.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 18, 2013 -> 07:02 PM) There have been plenty of games of late where the young guys played well and they still managed to lose. Anything outside of a top 3 pick would be a huge disappointment. This team needs more talent, plain and simple.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 18, 2013 -> 05:29 PM) I hope he and Beckham anchor the middle for a few more years. He turns 32 in one month.
