QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 14, 2013 -> 11:31 AM) yeah that makes more sense, I couldn't read what the "no trespassing" signs said, but it was "dept. of _____" I didn't really think there was much to read into any of this, and I don't really see why people are having such a hard time seeing the obvious. Maybe it's too obvious? Or maybe I'm crazy? It doesn't seem like any sort of mystery. Walter White will be found out as the drug lord Heisenberg (well, actually, he already was). As it unfolds and super-angry Hank does what a super-angry DEA agent does and moves forward with the "bust", it will be a big f***ing story as "former science teacher and current car wash owner runs drug empire from suburban home". At some point during this Hank will either give Walter a headstart or Walter'll just straight-up flee. House is seized and emptied and then left to be vandalized. Walt returns 6-9 months later for the ricin, presumably he's been on the lamb and POSSIBLY thought to be dead. Carol is really f***ing surprised to see him. Or maybe SS2k5 is right and Hank just randomly decides to torture Walt. What a great guess! I'm more curious if Skyler will be implicated.

And that's a White Sox winner !
I remember recently when the great hope of the White Sox, Avisail Garcia, briefly resided in the banner.

Mike Trout's Ridiculous Encore
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2013 -> 02:22 PM) Mantle had BLAZING speed (before the catastrophic injuries) and 550 foot home run power...Trout rarely hits homers like that...and Mantle also had a gracefulness about his game whereas Trout's more just brute force and dynamic energy. Would never put Trout out there as a comp. Grumble, grumble. Yes, every homer Mickey Mantle ever hit was 600 feet. He'd steal upwards of 200 bases if only that f***er God hadn't taken his legs. He'd hit 4 homers in a game after drinking all night. Mickey Mantle was a REAL MAN. This 22-year old putting up insane numbers is no real MAN like Mickey Mantle.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2013 -> 09:13 AM) The only thing I could think of other than that is Hank losing it and trying to torture Walt instead of taking him down. This is honestly the worst guess as to what will happen on a tv show that I've ever read in my life.

New banner - Jake's gone and PK's a corpse
We've apparently gone back in time, design-wise. Nice call to pull down Avisail the day he gets called up to put an old school sig in the banner.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 08:28 PM) Mike Trout has 1.6 Wins above replacement more than the sum of the WAR of each non-pitcher Sox player COMBINED (and I only counted the offensive players who have a WAR above 0) Now there's a fun fact.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 03:06 PM) I can get past it, but I can call this for what it is. I can still make observations about the games and the crowd that are true. We dug into why it was there, and who loves it, and why it's shown, and that brought up McD. Anyway, the sign is a pretty much a lie anyway due to the atmosphere! In summary: Madhouse on Madison: Chicago Stadium, RIP. United Center: Not the Chicago Stadium, come up with something else (?) I liked the f***ing sign. You don't see that type of s*** in these cookie cutter stadiums.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) No, Steve, I didn't. But regardless, it's logical. Why would they take it down? McD is damn proud of that sign. It can be visible on TV, great, but so is that sign when they go to it. We're live at the Madhouse on Madison" doesn't ring in the offices at United. Nor does all the camera shots/photos during games. Or the 21,000+ that see it inside. Also, it's pretty much not a madhouse most times. Goals, anthem, sure. Majority of people are there for the 45 seconds spent celebrating a goal and dancing to Chelsea Dagger. At that point, madhouse. It's actually not that loud or a madhouse in there, the majority of the time. Especially if OMG THE HAWKS ARE TRAILING BY A GOAL. /grumble grumble can't get past the fact that people who weren't there when it was just Captain Hairdo and Stevie Sullivan now buy out games grumblegrumle We got past this! (i thought)
