  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) Symptoms
  2. Hawks game was great last night. Clearly Toews showed concussion syndromes after getting rattled all night. He wanted to come back in, but they wouldn't let him. I wonder if they will play him regardless of whether he passes any tests. Also a key, he's missed SIGNIFICANT time previously due to concussions. Hopefully this is not an injury that shapes his long-term future.
  3. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 04:15 AM) Soooo....if Hawks win on Monday, would parade be on Wednesday? Trying to figure out if I need to drive to Chicago on my birthday on Wednesday, and call in to my radio show instead of hosting it. f*** this jinx post
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) Worst movie of all time nominee: hahaha oh god that looks so terrible. thanks for taking my mind off this Hawks game for 2 minutes.

    House of Cards is insanely awesome.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 06:32 PM) http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/20/samsung...android-slider/ Samsung is making a 13 inch tablet that runs Windows 8 Pro AND Android 4.2.2. Very interesting. So they're making a laptop that runs slower and is less responsive than a laptop.
  7. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 09:49 PM) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=479859732103070 Once a tool, always a tool. That's hilarious!
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 06:05 PM) So which Steve are you now? The one who can or can't see? Dude, that makes no sense. Of course ON the ice, PLAYING the game, you can see from ice-level. Stuck on one end as the action happens on the other good luck. I'm done with this stupid conversation. I guess the scouts only sit up higher for easy access to the restrooms. F*ck their jobs and performance, they have to piss.
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) Who the f*** do you think you are, Adam Banks? f***ing cake eater.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 01:22 PM) Correct, and the one I mentioned is Maggs. Weird to think that was 13 years ago. We old.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 03:02 PM) lol. Sure dude. You couldn't follow a game there, so no one else can. Now you're being petty. I scored 56 goals in one D1 high school season and got a scholarship to Northern Michigan University. I think I can follow the f***ing puck. Oh yeah, and our championship game that year was played in the United Center like it is every year. But good call. I can't follow a f***ing hockey puck.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) Yes. Probably close to 100 times. In college I went to pretty much every weekend home game there was in Ft Wayne. Also was to a few at the UC while they were still $75 each. Usually sat right next to the tunnel in the second or third row (front row was season ticketholders) behind the home team shoot twice net. Then you must have been completely drunk and/or not cared one bit. To act like you can see all plays develop from that level is completely inaccurate.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 11:31 AM) You can see play development from the ice if you know what you are looking for. Have you ever sat on the glass? This statement clearly reveals that you have not. It's fun. Action happens in front of you sometimes. It also happens at the other end of the rink behind glass that has been fogged and scuffed up by humans and pucks. And there's a distortion. And there's the fact that you really can't see over f***ing people playing the game. The view from the 200 level is, bar none, way better than the view from the 1st row. That said, they are both awesome. However, you really can't see much front row at the UC for a Blackhawks game. I know, because I've actually sat there (I've sat on the glass for a 1998 playoff game against the Avs, multiple times as a Marketing intern for the Blackhawks, and I have played hockey for 20 years and just understand that you really can't see much action from the bench, let alone a seat, when it's at the other end) - not just chimed in from my house in Michigan City, Indiana acting like I had any idea.
  14. Carlos Lee has announced his retirement from baseball. Lee said on a radio show in Panama that he received offers from four different teams over the offseason, but none of them were for the two years he desired. "El Caballo" hit .285/.339/.483 with 358 homers, 1,363 RBI and 125 stolen bases over 14 major league seasons. In addition to making $130.275 million during his career, Lee also Lee owns and operates profitable cattle ranches, so he's done quite well for himself. He was a lot of fun to watch come up with the White Sox.
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 05:58 PM) Elevation to see the play > seats on the glass This.
  16. Congratulations to LeBron. Dude works his ass off. Being a Bulls fan was rough this year - hopefully next season is less frustrating.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 04:31 PM) I'll see you back when the White Flag articles start. Um. White Flag happened when the White Sox actually had a chance?
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) after the uproar that will be had when we sell off, a couple of free agents aren't making a difference. No one will care if Peavy and/or Rios get dumped.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 03:48 PM) I'm guessing you spilled rather than yakked. Still. I think I can drink that stuff with a level 5 hangover. Oh, I just burnt out. My 2nd case and chugging 14 in one night did me in - got tired of it. And yes, spilled. Come on, I don't yack.

    QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Kick some ass and buy Soxtalk from me. Then you can post rumors about Drose's return in October on here!!! I will buy it for $5 and name myself moderator overlord and remove the swear filter.
  21. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 02:51 PM) Was your avatar from last night's game? No, that's old - from March. http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2013/3/27/4155...sk-breaks-stick
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) I don't think I've ever had a better beer period. It's so crisp, deep, and smooth, and it's 5.8% booze. You can get seriously lit up on that stuff. I'm off that s*** since I passed out on my couch on like #14 a couple months ago. That s***'s hard to get out of the couch after it sits all night.
  23. Next year will be a throwaway year. Sonic the Hedgehog could manage the team and I wouldn't give a rip. Given we'll likely have a lot of s***ty players, someone who preaches fundamentals would be nice.
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) I'm starting to think that Badger is actually a professional criminal, not a lawyer. OR BOTH
  25. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) A: I dunno I was really drunk, I couldnt even operate my security system. I thought he had gone home with some girl and that hed text me in the morning. Its always better to seem suspicious then have physical evidence connecting you to a crime. Even if they can show you bleached your entire house, its still 100% better than them finding blood of a dead guy. You should do bad s***.
