QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 07:58 AM) ChuckGarfien Chuck Garfien Just learned that the first cut of movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off was 2 hours and 45 minutes. I want outtakes! ChuckGarfien Chuck Garfien John Hughes wanted baseball scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off shot at Comiskey Park, not Wrigley, but needed day game. Christ. You will f***ing repost any tweet, won't you? -
Ah yes. Gotta love overhyped untouchable Yankees prospects. So many of them wind up being solid contributors in the Major Leagues.

Rex Ryan sure is great. -
QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) And I just read somewhere the reason I can't hop step is because they took it away. Or it's not as easy as hitting the Triangle button anymore........ Definitely try to alter your shot while driving. Also, never just "pass". Get to the point where you naturally call up the positions and hit the coordinating buttons.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) Selective memory my ass. They were down 14-0 after three quarters. Completely out of the game. Rogers threw a terrible interception that would have made it 21-0. It was 14-7 and then immediately 21-7. They had a chance to tie the game but fell short. Again, a freakin' cock tease for the last 10 minutes. Otherwise it was near total domination. Rodgers* -
QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) If anyone has any advice on executing the ISO moves and getting to the bucket more with Rose feel free to chime in... Hop step, man. Damn, this makes me want to go pick up NBA 2k12. I'm so lethal at these games.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 03:27 PM) If it's not luck I dunno what it is. You can't give Lovie props for beating a s***ty Seattle team to get into the NFC championship game. And don't forget, we're not even in that position if the league didn't steal a TD from Calvin Johnson in week 1 (fluke!) And the Bears had no shot at beating GB. They were a cock tease for 3 hours. That's it. Christ. Again. They lost by one score when their starting QB missed most of the game. F*ck. Your selective memory makes me want to find where you live, come over there, and punch you in the nose. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) Taking a 4-12 and 9-7 team to two straight AFC championship games in his first two years (with Sanchez) isn't very impressive, I agree. Man, the more I look at stats the more ridiculous you seem. Lovie inherited a team that had won 11 total games in the two years prior to his taking over... in 121 games since Lovie became head coach, he has a 57% winning percentage, a Super Bowl appearance, and an NFC Championship Game appearance. Rex inherited an above-.500 team and has a 61% winning percentage. And what's this (with Sanchez) bulls***? Doesn't Lovie get a (with Sexy Rexy, with Brian Griese, with Kyle Orton caveats). -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) Taking a 4-12 and 9-7 team to two straight AFC championship games in his first two years (with Sanchez) isn't very impressive, I agree. The defense was largely in place... notice they improved the year before by 5 games despite having Favre with a busted arm as their QB. So I guess Rex gets all the credit for "his" defense, but Lovie doesn't for "his". Brilliant. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) Guys I'd take ahead of him for sure: Mike McCarthy Bill Belichick Mike Tomlin Sean Payton Rex Ryan Jim Harbaugh Mike Smith John Harbaugh Tom Coughlin Maybes (but probably not): Ken Whisenhunt Jim Schwartz Mike Munchak So, probably in the 10-14 range, i.e., average. Your list became a joke the moment you mentioned Rex Ryan. -
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) Just purchased NBA 2K12, what do you guys think about the game? I rented it and it is absolutely fantastic and somehow a vast improvement over 11. That being said, it just made me angry to see NBA players and know an actual season wasn't coming.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 12:14 PM) jonmorosi Jon Morosi Source says #RedSox have not ruled out possibility of bringing Bobby Valentine in for an interview. Methinks life post-Theo in Boston won't be pleasant.

QUOTE (flavum @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 11:58 AM) How the hell can you have a DH sit 15 games a year? (No Dunn jokes please) That's too many out of 162. I also despise a one-game playoff between wildcard teams where the potential of one of them having 98 wins vs an 84 win team. The game will be worse in 2013. Thanks, Bud. It's not that much more than the current situation. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 09:02 AM) There are at least 20 places where the movie could end appropriately, but doesn't, so heads up. f*ck
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 07:48 AM) pgammo Peter Gammons Red Sox owners want managerial "experience." Weaver, LaRussa, Anderson, Leyland, Guillen had managed 0 games when hired. What a laugh Ok, Gammons, it's time to go away.

Survivor is f*cking terrible this year, by the way. "We all know it's time to make a huge move. We're huge players who love 'Survivor' and want to make a huge move RIGHT F*CKING NOW." No huge move... continue being led to slaughter.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) The season is toast. But like I said during the summer, another year and no ring for LeBron. Slice it how you want, but missing a Derrick Rose season is not ideal. -

Pile on time for the Blackhawks. Try not to riot tonight, Vancouver.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 16, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) Olesz placed on waivers. If nobody claims him, he will probably be sent to Rockford. Hawks will still be on the hook for his $3m+ salary, but it won't count towards the cap. It'd be rather awesome if he were claimed.

So I guess I'm seeing J. Edgar on Saturday night. This is the least excited I've been to see a movie like this ever. It's been really poorly advertised.

Yeah. That's kinda my take. I have a co-worker who is a huge Packers fan and he comes in talking sh*t every Monday. He's the only reason I've been annoyed by the Packers this year. I mean, we all know they are amazing and will win on Sunday, so I don't really understand the talking sh*t. Bears fans have no ground to stand on... I mean, it is a bit tiring that their games aren't entertaining because, at least this year, the outcome is a given. However, I don't really have any animosity towards the Packers or Rodgers. The Lions, on the other hand, being their classless selves, are truly annoying. I will absolutely root for the Packers on Thanksgiving.
