  1. ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports that the Bears have "revised" Jay Cutler's (thumb) timeline for return and now believe he could play in Week 16 or 17 of the regular season. That fapping sound you hear? That's me masturbating.
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) Sounds like Cutler could/should be back by either the Packers or Vikings game. Where did you see this? I've seen no estimates of a return date/game??
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) So, this makes me want the Bears to get Chandler Harnish in the seventh round. /unreasonable-NIU-Love Not really unreasonable... dude is ballin'.
  4. We just need a Babe Ruth Award already for the leagues best hitter, then MVP won't be an issue and can go to THE best player in each league without ignoring hitters for the entire year if a pitcher wins (like this).
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) Bears open up as 3.5 point dogs 3 for being a road team, so it's basically a push.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) if that is the case, it has been an incredibly long and stellar career for him Where's jenksismyb**** to call him a Hall of Famer, already?
  7. ZachZaidman Zach Zaidman The fact Bears say they hope Cutler is able to return before end of regular season means QB had positive visit with specialists this morning
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) ....Really? I have never once been confident in a Bears team until the last few weeks. Even the Super Bowl year no one actually thought the Bears would do anything. We kept waiting to be disappointed. This year, these past few weeks, the team looked focking amazing in most every aspect of the game, and the coaches were making all the right decisions.
  9. This is the very definition of the air being let out of the sails. I've never seen a Bears offense look like this, and that was 100% on Jay Cutler playing his best football. His movement in the pocket has disguised a bad offensive line as adequate, his throws to open players has made guys who run fast look like receivers, and his improved decision-making and rocket arm had him playing as well as any quarterback in the game. This isn't just "put Hanie in and see what happens", this is tragic. This injury has ended to 2011 season, even if we make the playoffs. Without question, the Bears were improving to the point that they were going to challenge Green Bay in the playoffs, of this I have no doubt. The injury bug has bit hard, and in the absolute worst possible spot. I'm hoping for good news following an MRI today, but we all know what is coming: torn ligaments, best case scenario out until the Wild Card round of the playoffs. That won't happen. Jay Cutler's season ended last night, and with that the most promising stretch in my Bears lifetime.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 12:29 AM) It was playing in Chicago this weekend at the very least... Good film Hm. Fandango is lame then, apparently.
  11. KCJHoop K.C Johnson Dwyane Wade bringing four-city, NBA lockout all-star tour to Chicago on Dec. 7. Tickets for game at UIC on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) Sid the Kid to finally return Monday night vs. the Islanders. My keeper fantasy team, and the rest of the hockey world, is rather excited. I hope he can avoid getting rocked again. Lord knows if we've already seen the best of Sid and if he'll be any good from here on out.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 07:35 AM) And by the way, anyone who questioned Jay's toughness, you probably contributed to this mess. If Cutler doesn't have in the back of his mind that a significant section of the Bears fan base through he b****ed out during the playoffs last year, I really doubt he chases after Cason as hard as he did. No. I never once questioned Jay, but no to the above. He's going to try to make that tackle. From what I'm hearing, Jay hurt his thumb in the beginning of the game, and then made it much, much worse (torn ligaments) on that tackle.
  14. Sources have claimed that Steve Harnden is going to drink himself silly and self mutilate now.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) god f***ing damnit it's payback for last year's complete lack of injuries. Cutler missed a game due to concussion and sat out much of the NFC Championship Game. We didn't need any payback. This is f***ing gay as f***ing s***.
  16. Well I enjoyed that win for a couple hours. So much for 2011.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 09:54 AM) Has anyone seen The Descendants yet? It's not playing anywhere in Illinois, yet. We plan on seeing it whenever it comes aruond.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 10:15 AM) Hell if I am Q I make their asses stay in after the last two nights. I'm not worried, but I am embarrassed for them. I quit watching early, and clicked back to check the score a couple of times This sums it up. The team can be great, but they have been playing lazy.
  19. I believe you'd be hard-pressed to find a link to a trade rumor of this ilk. It seems way to good for the White Sox.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) Still finishing the scoring. Sorry it's taking so long. I hope to be ready to start the lists either late tomorrow or Sunday. I just sent you mine!
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 01:00 PM) Gabe Carimi has been placed on IR. Only played 6 quarters. Hopefully this doesn't turn into Marc Colombo part deux. JEEZ F*CK THAT
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 11:35 AM) One of my friends mentioned it last night before you. Probably overheard him. I mentioned it on Monday in this very thread. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=2509953

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 07:40 AM) Good episode of Community to have the week NBC announces it is going on hiatus soon. That and Parks & Rec were both home runs again last night.
  24. JEEZ this one is difficult. I mean, it's Frank Thomas. However, SS2K posted a f***ing tweet about Ferris Bueller's Day Off in Pale Hose today... Based on these facts alone, I'll go Balta even with the degenerative hip condition.
