  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) We used to play that at school in kindergarten. God that was awesome. You have died of disentary.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 08:32 AM) That's why I don't really want to defend his actions. But IMO when he says he's ready to go, even if that's the day before training camp begins, well, you let him play. He's earned that right. That'd be my view if I were the GM. The best player plays. Rodgers had usurped Favre as a quarterback at that point, and the incredibly good scouts who worked for the Pakcers knew it. The Packers STILL gave Favre a chance to play, and he didn't decide by their deadline. They then moved on to Rodgers (possibly later than they could have), and now Rodgers has as many Super Bowl rings as Brett Favre.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) For some reason? The dude was pegged as his replacement for 4 seasons and despite being one of the best QB's in the game's history he was run out of town. I think he's got every right to be angry/jealous. I think the biggest reason he'd be annoyed/jealous is he never got to have the "see, that's what it's like without Brett Favre" period. Hell, we all expected them to crumble as Bears fans once Favre was gone. They wound up with someone who could go down as even better.
  4. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) Seahawks didn't lose anyone near lebron caliber though. It does seem though in Nba you go in season with only a handful of teams having realistic shot at championship. In baseball yes there are Yankees and bsox always good but like 14 teams had a shot at some point. Football seemingly easiest sport for teams to become legit contenders. Different team from NFC makes superbowl every year. Apples to Oranges.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) All the reviews for American Horror Story have been totally negative. Yeah? I was planning on watching, but I literally don't have time to add another show.
  6. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) The reason we shouldn't be so quick to want Thornton traded. Ohman is a situational lefty and Matt can go two innings at least. Possibly Santiago can replace Sale, if in fact Sale can cut it as a starter. Lots on unanswered questions at this point obviously Honestly, with how Matt whipped out his dingle and pissed all over the first month of the season, which I do believe (combined with Juan Pierre's defensive ability flying the coop) caused this team to get in such a rut they could never recover, I want him gone. GTFO, Mr. Thornton.
  7. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) Rays would never let that happen. One can hope.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) So I have a question...what's everyone's opinions on when you have a date with a chick that definitely seems to be out of your league? I know your good pals will say "Don't say that! No one is out of your league!" If she said yes to a date, then clearly she doesn't think she's out of your league so I don't see the issue.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) Ahh, some other hot redhead then I guess... Connie Britton of Spin City and Friday Night Lights fame.
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) Especially given the interest in the league and ratings that the Heat drew. The NBA typically does a lot better when there are star-loaded teams at the top of the league. Everyone loved rooting against the Heat this year, and thus their ratings soared and the NBA adored it.
  11. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) Gammons:Coaches sure make a difference http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb What does he know? We need to find out what people in KC are thinking.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) I hope "baked me some fresh cookies" is a euphemism for oral. Perhaps it refers to what resulted when they pulled out the anal beads.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 10:59 AM) Hawks 4th in pre-season power rankings http://chicago.cbslocal.com/nhl-power-rankings/ ...as defined by CBS CHICAGO. Here's a less-biased power ranking from TSN. I bet you think you know where I'm going with this... but you don't! Surprise! TSN has the Hawks ranked SECOND!
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 10:44 AM) Just win baby! Take notice Oz haters! It's all about the players. The managers don't matter. Ozzie will bring multiple titles to Florida. Shut up, Greg.
  15. With nearly all of $8 billion gap closed, season can be saved Much more detail in this fantastic article.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 07:39 AM) But hopefully that new manager's scheme won't be called going "all-in" Yeah... that was Kenny.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 10:55 PM) I can't believe grown adults, people I respect on here, still think that Ozzie should have benched Rios and Dunn. He kept hitting him cleanup. Adam Dunn couldn't hit the side of a barn with his bat all year long, but he was hitting cleanup... 3 games out, he's hitting cleanup. Plus, remember, Ozzie quit. He was not fired.
  18. So when do people stop calling Theo Epstein "young". They've been doing it all morning on the Score. The dude is f***ing almost 40.
  19. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 01:17 AM) Honestly, I cant remember the last time that I paid full price for a video game, its been years.. I can agree to this. Every time I get a game it's normally half-off. I cannot f***ing wait for Arkham City. PS - played about 20 minutes of RAGE. I think I am just anti-shooter. The first five "foes" that you have to shoot are exactly the f***ing same. No difference in appearance or how they act. No graphics in the world could get me to bother with 10 hours of that s*** with zero story line to follow.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 05:31 AM) Dear god have mercy on us all... Lepisto will play a lot more than Scott. With Mayers and God dammit motherf***ing piece of s*** Carcillo, the need for tough guy will be nil.
  21. QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 10:40 PM) f*** the players, f*** the owners. That is all. I can agree with this. No one wants to take the 47% side of the split... Why is the obvious 50/50 split not just happening and then we can all watch the continued growth of D-Rose?!!??!!?!?!??!
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 12:28 AM) I've been offered Desean Jackson and Maurice-Jones Drew for Calvin Johnson. My team is lacking a #1 back and I have a boatload of #2 and #3 receivers (Colston, Maclin, Henderson, Manningham). I had Jackson on my team last year and he annoyed the hell out of me. One week he'd put up 25 points, then he'd put up 2-3 the next. Any suggestions? You've described Jackson to perfection. MJD is a solid RB, so I guess it depends on how bad your truly need a RB. Calvin is going to be setting records this year.
  23. A new keeper league is where you can draft new guys. Players come and go every year... draft someone new who is going to become a stud this year! Again, I don't understand the purpose of a keeper league when it just resets. If it does reset, you can count me out.
