Brandon McCarthy was f***ing dealing tonight. Maybe he'll pan out after all.

"Ridiculousness" was entertaining, albeit a Tosh.0 ripoff. I also dug "Death Valley", oddly enough.

The Bears have asked Chester Taylor to return to their facility Monday after deciding to release him earlier in the day. According to ESPN Chicago, the Bears' coaching staff wants to keep Taylor, while the front office is pulling for his release this.f***ing.team. -

Cowboys released PRO BOWL CENTER Andre Gurode. The overhaul of the Cowboys' offensive line is virtually complete. Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo were both released earlier this offseason as head coach Jason Garrett goes with a smaller, cheaper unit. The Cowboys save $5.5 million against the cap with this move. Gurode, 32, is a five-time Pro Bowler that will attract attention on the open market, possibly from a team like the Dolphins. I wish the Bears would sign him and get him in here immediately. -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Aug 29, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) I hate looking at Derrick Rose highlights on youtube, and then realizing there probably is not going to be a season. I said something similar while looking for the shirt Rose has been wearing in China. Sad face. -

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Cool! He was awesome. Another "nugget". We were sitting behind the Sox dugout and got a kick out of Ozzie several times chucking peanuts at the Moose (Mariners' mascot). Ozzie's a f***ing moron who would rather goof off than pay attention to the smaller aspects of the game, apparently. I'm tired of the happy-go-lucky manager who gets fired up and swears and calls people "queers". Be gone with him.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 06:57 PM) So I'm the world's biggest asshole right now I guess. I have a leaky roof, a problem I was aware of before Irene showed up. Incidentally, I have an appointment I set up for next week, done before I knew the hurricane was actually coming. Because of where the damaged shingles are, when it rains hard, water comes into my stepdaughter's room and damages the ceiling. The last time it rained a couple weeks ago, it got a bunch of her clothes wet and her TV got wet, but it worked again when it dried (lucky). Fast forward to today and now that Irene has come and gone, of course there was a lot of water that leaked into the room and damaged the ceiling in her room some more (expected, and also something I was going to get fixed). Here's the kicker though: my wife let her go stay over at her friend's house down the street for the whole weekend, and my stepdaughter KNEW Irene was coming but didn't bother moving her TV and put all her clothes back in the SAME SPOT. So she comes home and sees her room and starts flipping out and having a temper tantrum. My wife asks "why didn't you move it?" and she says "I'm sorry, I didn't do it." I say "what are you apologizing for? It's your problem." My wife gives me the side eye and says "it's not that this is anyone's fault or problem, this is everyone's problem." Uhhh no. Really it's not. I ask her why she's giving me "that look" and she says "it was your reaction." I say "what did you want me to do, go start jumping up and down and start screaming "OH s***" a bunch of time while sobbing hysterically? We already got the guy coming to fix it." If that TV is dead and she thinks she's getting another one, she's got a rude surprise! Sorry! Those are the consequences of her actions and the priorities she set. If I were in that situation, I'd have double-checked my kid's room that has rain getting in it to look out for her. She's a kid, kid's are stupid.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 12:06 AM) Won't matter with a swiss cheese o-line, no solid receivers, and a horrible coaching staff. The Bears have one of the most experienced coaching staffs in NFL history. That's one section of this team I don't think you can complain about. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 27, 2011 -> 10:45 AM) back up what? His bad overall fitness? Nobody but dunn would be able to back it up. All i see is a large man who looks pretty damn slow swinging the bat, and has all season long. Considering he is one of the more renowned sluggers of he past 10 years, it is mighty strange that he signs a large contract, goes about his business of not swinging the bat all offseason and now has one of the historically worst seasons hitting. Nobody has to back up anything IMO. The proof is right in front of your face

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 26, 2011 -> 09:15 PM) So in 12 months when Viciedo is batting .210 with like 8 HR's and zero walks how will ST find a way to blame Ozzie Guillen and Kenny Williams? Dude, seriously? I'm totally going to blame Greg Walker!

Sox Did Not Put in a claim on Kubel or Thome

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 26, 2011 -> 03:43 PM) Buster_ESPN Buster Olney Source: White Sox did not, in fact, place a claim on Jason Kubel. Which makes more sense on the part of CWS, who didn't block Thome, either Excellent reporting by all the world. -

I already called Brian on the bulls*** and his being holier than thou when it comes to Jersey Shore but just lovin' Big Brother and The Challenge.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 26, 2011 -> 09:03 AM) f***ing floaters are going to win again. This season just turned to s*** for me. If Shelly or kahlia win it will be an awful finale. I think having the vets in the house made everyone a little too paranoid about getting the good players out early. Yeah, no question about it. They need to go full-on All-Stars or no All-Stars. Survivor had the same issue last season... Russell didn't stand a chance, and then everyone rode Rob's coattails to his eventual glory. Shelly is the worst. She might be the biggest liar in the game's history, and makes no bones about it. There is seriously no one left worth watching with Dani and Big Jeff out of the house.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 04:13 PM) Clearly the problem with the Dodgers is their legendary television announcer. I must say, having had mlb.tv for the bulk of the season (and in the past), Vin Scully is awful. I don't need to hear some random obscure story about Rafael Furcal's neighbor's cat that died in 1972 or whatever bulls*** he comes up with on anightly basis. I would never listen to the Dodgers announcers.
