Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) This is the best the Hawks have looked in a while, the D has been great, especially the netminding on that long two man advantage. Yeah, they are throwing a lot of pucks at the net... they are looking like they did earlier in the year. Now if a line other than the 4th could bury one.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 05:01 PM) Ahnold was offered. he also couldnt fit it in his schedule. Still, Jet Li, Statham, Tiny, Stallone, Lundgren, Rourke, Willis and Ahnold in cameos. This is 80's and 90's action balled into one. I'll check it out. Arnold is my boy, though.

MLB 10: The Show
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) lol. That's Gardenhire-ball. When I played the Twins last time, Thome went 4-5 with 3 HR. lol. The computer pitches for me, but still. 3 HR and 7 RBI for big Jim. I find pitching to be so enjoyable, why do you have the PC pitch for you?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) Will be catching that and Lost tonight. My first time testing out the new DVR. Welcome to 2005, gramps. I sure hope this Pierzynski fella doesn't implode the team chemistry.

Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 09:58 AM) The depleted defense core with Campbell's injury & Johnsson's mystery "upper-body" injury are definitely hurting them, but overall the team looks slower, less agressive, and is making too many mistakes. Sharpie just gave his guy a free 1-on-1 last night on the last goal. Unfortunately the bolded is entirely accurate and the reasoning is the team's distrust in who is in net. They are playing terrified because they know 20% of pucks thrown at the net are going in... it's effecting the entire team's confidence and morale. Way to not get a goaltender.

MLB 10: The Show
I had quite the series with the Royals. In three straight games, someone hit a walk off solo shot, and we won the games 3-2, 2-1, 3-2. Alexei, Teahen, and Jones were the culprits.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 03:18 AM) No kidding, that's a good point. Never thought we'd get to the point where the division was even in doubt. Now the Wings are only 6 back.

Official 2010 Opening Day Countdown: 3 days
QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 04:49 PM) I didn't even like the rolling blackout in the 08 playoffs. There was one blackout game, and that was September 30, 2008. Yeah, this seems cheesy. Opening Day is not the day for a Blackout.

- ESPN Magazine Computer Predictions
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 10:51 AM) This is from the upcoming ESPN Magazine, they did 100 computer simulations and the Twins finished 1st more often, but somehow the Indians were next in line, as well as the only team to snag a wild card berth in one simulation. They also dont think much of the division, as the Twins are the only team to average a +.500 finish, at barely 82 wins. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/insider/news/story?id=5028413 It came out last week. Awesome article with Jake Peavy in it...- Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread
The Blackhawks really need to pull their heads out of their asses and start winning some f***ing games. The Predators are only 5 points back to take the Central.- Thank You White Sox
Matt, I'm sorry to hear about your home and your possessions. Thanks for sharing how the White Sox reacted to the letter, it's further proof that we follow the most dedicated team in professional sports. I can't imagine my house burning down (knocks on wood), but I can say at least thankfully your family is safe. Best of luck man.- Winter/Spring 2009-10 TV thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) Although the Kindergarden version of Matt McConaughey from Dazed & Confused was pretty hilarious. People aren't tired to the references to pop culture yet? Family Guy got old like 5 years ago.- Winter/Spring 2009-10 TV thread

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) On a more important note, I'm pretty surprised that I haven't seen much Breaking Bad talk in this thread (although I haven't looked that hard). It's possibly the best show on TV right now.. definitely worth checking out.Love it. I'm glad it's developed more of a following.- Winter/Spring 2009-10 TV thread
QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) Was super excited to watch the pacific since I loved band of brothers so much. But it was awful. As I told my friend, it was more Pearl Harbor the movie than band of brothers. WTF did you only watch episode 3? That was the first episode that had ANY romance. This series has been wonderful.- Winter/Spring 2009-10 TV thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 28, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) Seriously? ANY season of 24 described as "incredible"? Honestly? 1 2 3 4 5 7 were all pretty f***ing damn entertaining. Season 8 started slow but has been good. I'm sorry to see it go. At least there will be a movie. - Wood's 20 K's vs Buehrle's perfect game
