If I'm you, I'd wait on the Pre, which is coming to Verizon shortly. Palm Pre to Verizon early 2010. They are developing fine apps, and the music playback is extraordinary. My wife has an iPod and I have a Pre and there is no advantage to the iPod in terms of music. There are some quality games, too.
