As of 10:14 tonight's game has been postponed. This coming from the official white sox email. LMAO. -
Good Christ it's 4-0 Wings not even halfway through the 2nd. The defensive coverage has been atrocius.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2007 -> 01:06 PM) Teams I would rather sweep instead of the Cubs... Twins Indians Tigers Royals Angels Mariners Rangers Athletics Yankees Blue Jays Orioles Red Sox Devil Rays See a win vs the Cubs actually counts for 1 win in the standings, not a half a win or some other figure. So i'd certainly rather sweep the cross town rivals than a team like the devil rays, who won't be in any sort of wild card race.

QUOTE(rangercal @ May 15, 2007 -> 03:19 AM) Players on the Cubs That I would not mind having On the Sox: Derosa over Iguchi Derek Lee at 1b Over Konerko Zambrano over Contreras Rich Hill Over Vazquez Aram over Crede Alfonso Soriano at LF over podsednik Felix Pie over Erstad every other position is too close to call or favors the sox. Derosa over Iguchi? His name is spelled T-h-e-r-i-o-t.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 14, 2007 -> 03:17 PM) He did freeze. And freeze. And freeze. And freeze. And freeze. And then he FINALLY took off way way late, however his speed and the poor throw made up for it. So he froze 50 times and still scored with ease, that's interesting. He must run a 2.43 40 yard dash. There were no outs. You freeze on the liner, and even if he's held at third (which i thought initially he would be, no problem there), there's still what, an 80-90 percent chance we win the game from a pure statistical standpoint? He ran the bases pretty much by the book there.

Ottawa is playing ridiculously good hockey. If it wasn't for Miller tonight (and a post or two) it's four or five to zero. Ottawa has dominated them in all three zones...so it's a combination of that and Buffalo not quite showing up like they did in the regular season.
-
Nice knowing you Buffalo. 1-0, unbelievable.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 14, 2007 -> 09:31 AM) That was the smallest point in my post, but Ozuna is much faster, and people seem to be forgetting that Terrero had a horrible read and late break on Dye's single, making it much closer than it should have been at the plate (I know it wasn't that close, but if that throw doesn't die when it hits the turf, it would have been). Freeze. On. A. Line. Drive.

Phew, really needed game 2.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) I remember when Iowa had Hamga, Tyler Smith, and a very good chance at Negedu. We now have a guy that looks to be a good coach but god we've had no major recruiting coupes and look to be a team that will battle NU and PSU for last in the Big 10. Time to hang a new banner?
-
Buffalo didn't play bad and didn't get dominated like they did quite in Game 1, in fact I think they had more scoring chances than Ottawa. Problem is that Ottawa is a much better team at taking care of the puck and possessing it for long stretches. Ottawa is really good at getting clears and not turning it over in the neutral zone on the breakout. Furthermore, Buffalo's power play sucks. Their retrieval game is just terrible and it's cost them so far. Ottawa's special teams have been a huge factor in these 2 games. Drury gets beat clean as a whistle on the faceoff and a knuckler gets by Miller. Thus is life in playoff OT. Buffalo sure has a huge, huge hole to dig out of indeed.

White Sox vs. Royals, 5/12/07 (W)
IlliniKrush replied to Gregory Pratt's topic in 2007 Season in Review
Nice, he had to follow the "make sure it's past the pitcher" rule there -
So i've got on The Score briefly this afternoon and i hear this guy co-hosting a show. WTF? http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/school...hot/651514.jpeg

Anaheim dominates, Detroit gets two absolute fluke goals and wins 2-1. If Anaheim wins game 2 they'll win the series judging by this game. Anaheim was all over them in all 3 zones and was much more physical. Only thing Detroit had going for it was Hasek, he did play pretty well yet again.

Be careful here. If you have to use 1st base use it.

I hope we hold em to 2 runs here

If that's the case, then talking to any passengers in the car falls in the same boat.
