  1. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) Ummmm, if I walk over to the fridge here at work...not 15 feet from where I am sitting...there is beer in there. Some of the guys, on fridays, will stay after work for a few to have a beer. It's cheaper than driving to a bar, as many people do. I bet of you go into the fridges at a bunch of companies, you might just find a brew or two in there. Liability wise, I find that extremely odd.
  2. Why should they be provided as much free alcohol as they want after games? Do you sit at your job all day and at 5pm head to the conference room to knock down some with your coworkers? They can do it on their own time, not at their place of work. I like the message MLB is trying to send, even to the fans...maybe some people will realize drinking 10 beers at a game isn't part of going to a game.

    The Office

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:25 AM) How exactly did the show end? My DVR cut short the ending even though it acknowledged teh super sized time slot. The last thing I saw was Pam opening up and telling Jim she misses having fun with him. As she walks towards the water, Michael said something to the effect "Well I am still looking for sales...." That's all I got. What did I miss? I got the exact same thing, sounds like it ended right there though. Phew.

    Bluetooth

I have one, I only use it while driving or sitting around the house. I agree that the people using them in grocery stores or wherever else are dbags, especially if you have to interact with people. But I hate holding the phone to my ear, even if at home, and of course it makes driving a lot easier.
  5. Sens take the 1-0 series lead, they played real well tonight.
  6. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 10, 2007 -> 01:22 PM) Even the Twins announcers say he was safe. Gardy just wanted to get tossed. I can understand why Gardy argued it, the throw beat him by a ton. With no real good view of the plate, it wasn't surprising he was out there. Redmond hung Gardy out to dry.
  7. That was terrible catching fundamentals by Redmond there. If he lets the ball get to him (as well as lining up on the plate) instead of grabbing it a few feet in front of the base line and trying to pull the tag, Ryan's out very easily.
  8. That's a hell of a response, haha. I have zero problem with sidewalks. I especially like the one guys complaint about how it invites strangers. Yeah, sidewalks causing crime, now i've heard it all. However, if I lived in a neighborhood with none and no real good reason for them, i'd probly balk at this as well: "The village would have required residents to pay for 70 percent of the installation, roughly $60 a month for five years, Beck said." 60x60=3,600
  9. Willie Harris is hitting .417. That is all.
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 9, 2007 -> 11:29 AM) For those of you closely following Illinois' recruiting (i.e. doc, whom I miss reading by the way; where've you been, buddy?), one noticeable difference in Weber's recruiting philosophy has been his failing to put all of his eggs in one basket and covering all his bases in his recruiting. For the first time in years, it seems like there is a distinct group-A whom the coaching staff would love to take first and foremost and plenty of contingency groups from all around the country--any one of which could come to fruition and turn into quite the commitment. I'm eagerly awaiting the first verbal of 2008. I'm sure it will be one to remember. Yeah, but I'll really get excited when the ink dries. It's good to be excited about something related to Illinois basketball after everything that took place this year.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 9, 2007 -> 01:20 AM) Who could have seen that coming? LMAO. That was one of our finer moments.
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 8, 2007 -> 11:51 PM) From my recap... Here is a list of all the pitchers in baseball who have faced Justin Morneau at least 10 times and have held him hitless: Bobby JenksThat's it. That is the complete list. In fact, in those ten at-bats, Morneau has never even so much as drawn a walk against the big fella. [...] To recap, the following situations made Ozzie take action: Justin Morneau stepping to the plate in the 9th with the Sox most effective reliever (this season) on the mound. Nicky Punto steppnig into the box with a runner in scoring position with the Sox most effective reliever (this season) on the mound. Josh Rabe being announced Torii Hunter coming to the plate with a runner in scoring position in the 10th. The following situations led Ozzie to do nothing: Torii Hunter coming to the plate with a runner in scoring position and the Sox clinging to a 1-run lead in the 8th inning. Justin Morneau batting with the winning run on second in the 10th innning with the Sox "longman" on the mound and Bobby Jenks contemplating in which color sugar to dip his lick 'em stix. Will love to see the Ozzie apologists' responses to this. But he won a ring, so all's well. His s*** tonight in the late innings was minor league. It reminded me of pitching to Mauer last year at home with first base open and 2 outs. The AL hitting leader up, promptly hits a 3 run homer and the Sox lose. July 24, for those scoring at home.
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 8, 2007 -> 07:46 AM) Wings eliminate San Jose, winning 2-0 last night. They move on to face Anaheim in the West Finals. GO WINGS!!! I was hoping you wouldn't notice Quack Quack
  14. Interesting that this poll favors Mayweather by a lot...however, the ESPN.com poll right now has 137,278 votes and the voting is exactly 50/50. That's pretty impressive.
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 3, 2007 -> 10:44 PM) "When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive." f***ing Montana. Good, he deserved to bleed to death. They probably would have killed her had she not killed them.
  16. Real odd start to the first overtime in Ducks/Canucks - Luongo misses 4 minutes with an equipment problem And a real odd series ending goal - Luongo's calling for a penalty with his arm up as a surprise shot beats him on the ice before he really sees it.
  17. Salerno butter cookies are damn good.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 2, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) I'll go with the upset and pick Oscar. I'm definitely looking forward to this, I'll be going to BWW on Saturday to watch it, even if it's by myself(none of my friends seem to like boxing). Or you have no friends ba-zing
  19. CSN+, perhaps it will go to CSN as well once the Cubs are done.
