  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 24, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Whose that? http://nusports.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/m...oyle_tim00.html

  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 23, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) I would like to start getting into some lifting here at home on the basic set we have, just to stay a little active. What's good for a 19 year old who is 5'10" and weighs (as of two days ago) 131.5? Add 4 years, that's me. Nice, Heads.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:43 PM) Go home, Detroit. They gone.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 22, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) Jonathan Toews will wear #19 next year for the 'Hawks -- so you folks with old Calder jerseys are pretty lucky. Toews will also be introduced to the media sometime next week, per CBH.com. Saw that, his idol growing up was Sakic. I wish I had a calder jersey instead of a bell jersey. Either way i'll have a Toews one before the season starts.
  6. That, my friends, is why you don't come up the middle out in front of your own net on the breakout. That's a hockey sin right there, plain and simple.
  7. Yeah i was there, I laughed. I also said 'omg it's controversial cuz AJ did it' immediately and could only imagine what would have happened on the broadcast had it been during the Fox saturday game.
  8. I don't want to put the white flag on waivers.
  9. DJ is an idiot, you don't make the 1st out at 3rd down 3 when it's not 100% you will make third base.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ May 21, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) They were saying Swisher hits for a better average against lefties. It's not so much how the hitters from that side.....it's just that Boone doesn't have the type of stuff that will fool lefties. Okay, yeah, higher avg as a righty, just less power. Not a huge difference, however, so that could have gone either way, especially with Mac losing it really quickly there.
  11. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) Yes he is. Ok, then boone wasn't brought in to face a righty, fathom. I don't know swisher's career splits, however.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:50 PM) Is Ozzie an idiot? Why bring in Logan to face a righty hitter? Swisher is switch, correct?
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:00 PM) What do those yellow diamonds on the screen represent? Positions of the nearest ice cream man/men in the ballpark.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:52 PM) All I know is that this isn't the last time we've heard about this situation with AJ/Hall. It's sad that Ozzie actually does the right thing by starting Hall today, and it backfires on him in the press. I can actually see why Ozzie said he's sick of the s*** he receives in the media. Of course, responding the way he does is just going to make it worse though. AJ gets on the show and 'complains' that he's not playing. North agrees with him and states his opinion on the matter. Now, North is a talk show host paid to give his opinions, good, s***ty, or otherwise. Ozzie calls up and swears up and down the dial about it. Why the hell does Ozzie care what Mike North is saying about his lineup at 9:30 in the morning? Seriously? He's so pissed off at that that he has to grab his cell phone and call and b****? Good thing he's never come to Soxtalk, I guess. Might as well eliminate sports talk radio and any columns in the newspapers. If you can't stand the heat (from someone not even talking to you live with a mic in your face, just talking on a radio show), get out of the kitchen.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:26 PM) I missed the MacDougal is better than Aardsma and Jenks memo. And if you had watched today's game, you'd be aware our manager is as close to 100 percent at fault for the loss as possible. Everything right down to Pablo at 3rd. 1. Ozzie has been worse than Jerry Manuel for a long time now. Manuel did nothing, but if Ozzie were to take that strategy we'd be much better off. 2. Today's loss would have pissed me off to no end regardless of the opponent. Just the fact it was the pissheads at the gay bar made it worse. Well I don't know what the hell happened with #2...if Crede said "i'm out" or if Ozzie said "as a precaution i'm not playing you" or whatever else. All i know is that if Crede said he's out because of a swollen lip that's pretty terrible. And if Ozzie sat him as a precaution and he did want to play, that's even worse.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 18, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) Yet, by almost any yardstick, Ozzie is one of the top 10 Sox managers of all time. Amazing. Is that saying much?
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 18, 2007 -> 07:32 PM) I was at this game. First of all, the Cub fans who where there should be ashamed of how they acted after that game. I had one lady throw a beer at me, walking on shefield. This behavior wasnt isolated to one or 2 fans. It was a lot of cub fans targetting a couple of groups around me. I had another couple come up and the guy wanted to fight me, all because I was wearing a sox shirt and hat. I was with a group from work, and the sox fans were targeted. It was almost dangerous how intoxicated and agitated some of their fans were. Yeah, this I was around your classic drunk frat guys the entire game, and i wasn't even in the bleachers. These guys were f***ing lit. Every single time the Cubs got a hit or the Sox f***ed up, i got middle fingers and f*** yous directed at me because i was the closest sox fan. Meanwhile I did not once swear at these guys or yell at them or anything of the sort, i just cheered for my team. Even the cubs fans around them couldn't stand these dbags. And people wonder why Sox fans hate the Cubs and their fans. Oh also probably the dumbest thing i've heard at a game, ever. Do you remember when (i don't remember which inning) Ramirez took a 2-0 pitch for a strike basically with the bat on his shoulder, no chance he'd swing? My friend (cubs fans) and I were like that's weird, he should have been looking to pop a fastball, 2-0 is a great hitters count there and he was on automatic take mode. Well one of the dbags overheard us and said "No, 3-1 is a good pitch to hit, not 2-0. You must not know anything about baseball." I can't make this stuff up people.

    Ozzie

    Too bad Ozzie swore like 5 times, what an idiot
  19. Quack. Edit: Now both teams have won a game in which they were outplayed. Even Steven.
  20. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 17, 2007 -> 12:20 AM) I was sort of thinking about this tonight at the game... If the Reds continue to tank, and the Sox hang around in that couple-games-above-five-hundred area, are we going to see the return of Griffey-Talk? Now that he's in a corner OF spot, it sort of makes sense. It would be an implication that Dye would definitely not be back beyond this year, but it improves the offense significantly, and it doesn't hurt to have another guy who is close to a pretty significant HR record. I don't think the Reds have a whole lot in the way of pitching prospects besides Bailey, so the Sox could probably put together a pretty solid pitching package to entice Cincy. The Sox might be able to get it done without giving up Gio but that would probably depend on how much of the contract that the Sox ate. Here is where I'm confused -- Hardball Dollars has him getting deferred money ($57.5 million total) from 2009-2024. He's only signed through 2009, though. I'd certainly love to see it happen, especially if you can get a Bobby Abreu-like deal out of it where you're not giving up top prospects but still eating a lot of the contract. WHERE WOULD HE PLAY Cmon, too easy /shuts off Hawks mic
  21. Toews, pronounced Taves. Get used to it people, you are going to hear that name a lot in the coming years. This is f***ing epic news, we can finally relax with this big thing out of the way Keith. Fantastic. I absolutely cannot wait to watch him at the UC next year.
  22. Babcock's line combos worked to perfection (splitting up Zetterberg/Datsyuk)
