QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 03:48 PM) That goon Pronger should have been gone the rest of series. Not his debut at dirty play Rest of the series, LMAO. Please. It's a one game suspension that could go either way, there's no way that's a series ending elbow. And to call Pronger a goon is retarded.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 04:54 PM) I'm still liking Patrick Kane the best, although that Turris is a close second. I have faith in Tallon, though -- I like the talent he's accumulated in the Hawks junior ranks. Also, I don't know if you know this, but if Ottawa doesn't start shooting more, they can kiss the Cup good-bye. Well Keith, Ottawa shot the puck more in game 3 and they won. Plain and simple... We have a series now with game 4 tonight at 7:00 on NBC.

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 11:25 PM) I don't know if I get rid of any, but i make sure to tell them that if they ever do a 4-pitch walk when it wasn't supposed to be intentional, they are out of the game and in the doghouse. IShould do it for 3-0, but then you would run out of pitchers every game. Just throw strikes, Even if you groove a fastball on the first pitch, they only hit it 1/3 the time. Most vague/wrong sentence ever. Are you saying mlbers swing and miss 2/3 of the time? Certainly not correct. Are you saying mlbers only hit for a .333 average on first pitch, absolutely center cut thigh high fastballs? Also terribly wrong.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 12:42 AM) s***faced with you're aunt and uncle, ya...definitely Iowa. Anywho, my summer is about to get a lot more interesting... I pretty much assumed you were dead.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 30, 2007 -> 09:32 PM) AROD with another amateur moment. Posada pops one up on the infield with 2 outs, AROD running to third yells, "I Got It." Clark, the Jays 3B, thought it was his team mate and let the ball fall and a run scored. MacDonald started jawing with ARod. May see some more photoshop goodness as ARod was standing at third, waving his finger like a woman at MacDonald. He did not say "i got it" for the record. He said something close to "hah"

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 30, 2007 -> 02:57 PM) Fathom, get ready for a new addition to the signature. No Jenks here? Oh, right, we're saving him for a save opportunity that's never going to come about. Yeah, bases loaded, this is the game right here. Use the best bullet you have, and then he can go another one (and be in the save spot if we do score next inning). Maybe hunter can chop another one off the plate. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 30, 2007 -> 02:21 PM) whats hawk saying? "That's a 3 run missed call right there" Basically blaming the umps for EVERYTHING that has gone wrong in this game. He'd make for the worst manager ever. -

So for the bottom of the 7th: 1) Leave Garland in 2) Yank him 3) Does it even matter? Anyway, he should be done IMO. -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 30, 2007 -> 01:55 PM) Questec and the ump review is full of crap. Nipples to the knees over the big white thing in front of the catcher. How hard is that to figure out. You get one ump that doesn't call anything over mid thigh, the next guy only calls pitches above mid thigh. The next guy only gives the inside pitch but no outside pitch, the next only gives the outside pitch if you are blessed to be left handed. Its just sickening how bad these umps have been over the last few years. Then you get the argumentative jagoffs who think that I paid money to see them. They cant wait to toss someone. They should start suspending some of these fools or giving them a refresher in nipples to the knees over the big white plate. Sorry, but you can't call strikes nipple high. Not in the Majors, anyway. That would be terrible. -

QUOTE(Brian @ May 29, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) Aaron Hill just flat out stole home on Pettite. Now THAT'S exciting

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 28, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) Tomorrow is the day he gets introduced. This will get me all the more pumped for next year. Comcast better f***ing have it live. There are 4 different video clips on the hawks main page right now, Keith.

Ducks dominate Ottawa for most of game one and take it 3-2. Moen, yup that Travis Moen the former hawk, scores with under 3 left. Pretty entertaining opening game.

If you thought watching yesterday's game on TV sucked, you should have watched it surrounded by 27,000 fans wearing Morneau and Mauer jersey shirts like I did. That sure blew.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 25, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) On that Uribe play, if he dropped it, isn't the infield fly still in effect? I'm not quite sure about the infield fly rules. I missed the game but it sounds like it was only Crawford on first. For infield fly to be in effect there has to be runners on 1st and 2nd or bases loaded (to protect against 2 outs by letting the pop up drop). HOWEVER, purposely dropping a popup or line drive is an immediate dead ball, the batter is out, and all runners return to their time of pitch base. Now, you can let the ball hit the ground and then attempt to field it and throw to 2nd (there is a risk here of the ball bouncing far away, etc, so there is no penalty), but contacting the ball at all and dropping it intentionally wouldn't get you your desired result. -
This wouldn't have happened at Kams
