IMO, bean balls are retaliation for bean balls, not hard plays at bases, whether borderline dirty or not. The whole sliding into second/third/home thing works for me. I don't need a beanball war, that's all. I don't see what the hell throwing at Hunter's head does at this point, at all.

I'm not one to say "this is the game of the season" or this is a "make or break game", so i'm not because i don't believe it, but i'd say this is important from an Elo perspective. You just lost 2 straight to the Twins, in ugly fashion, in your own park. You aren't facing either of their top 2 pitchers today. You've been struggling the past month or so. You'd like to give the team/fans some confidence and avoid the sweep. If there's one game where he needs to dig deep to find something, it's this game. If he can't...well, not good

Nix still has a lot of potential, IMO. Locking Benson up to a long term deal? I don't think that's a great move on their part. They gave Chan Ho Park a lot of money for the sake of spending on a pitcher. I don't think they should do the same here. I'd either trade him for younger pitching and/or save the money for FA acquisitions that are better than Benson
